I took my Jeep Compass in for service several weeks ago because my battery kept dying. The man who jumped my car informed me that there was an issue with my auxiliary battery. When I mentioned this to the gentleman at the front desk he was very rude and dismissive of this and told me everything was fine with the car and that his diagnostics test found nothing. I asked him to double check it and he claimed they still found nothing wrong. He was incredibly dismissive of my concerns and I am now sitting in my garage with yet another dead battery and AAA on the way because they wouldn't look into replacing what I already knew was wrong. I'm very unhappy and I'm now losing money at my own business because I cannot make it to work on time to meet with clients. Very poor service. Even if it is another issue, I don't appreciate the attitude from this man. read more

I had to take my Jeep Compass in because there was an electrical issue with the second/auxiliary battery under the hood. The older gentleman at the front tells me "There's nothing wrong with your car. Our machine can't replicate anything. There's no second battery." I tell him "This jeep most definitely has a second battery. I personally jumped it yesterday. A quick Google search will show you where it is." He then goes into this statement about how his machine is only 1 year old and catches everything and then basically becomes dismissive of the issue. I made an appointment (picture proof attached) only for me to get there and have the desk lady say she can't help me. I literally thought she was joking at first. Didn't matter that I in fact did make an appointment and had the proof. She just kept saying my appointment didn't come through and there's no way they could get me done by 7. God forbid they have to stay late for their mistake. Then she asked me if I can come back tomorrow. Why on Earth would I want to come back here?? I showed up for my wheel alignment appointment and the manager, an older African guy, asked right away if I bought it on Groupon. As soon as I said yes, he refused to do the service. He made up an excuse about not having a technician, but it was pretty obvious that wasn't true. When I asked why he didn't just call me to reschedule, he said he was "too busy." There was only one customer there and he wasn't doing anything. Felt like a total scam. read more

The other reviews are very accurate. I set up an appointment for brake service. This place is close and convenient, so I gave it a shot. When I arrive, I say I have an 8:00 am appointment. He obviously has no clue about the appointment, since he asks me what needs to be done. I tell him "brakes," and he says his brake guy is not in "today." I said, "well, I made an appointment. Couldn't you have called or texted to let me know before I came over?" He then goes into this long explanation about all the personal troubles his employee is having. I eventually cut him off and said, "I'm sorry for the guy's troubles. I'm just saying you should have contacted me." Frankly, I don't believe the story since it was so elaborate and long-winded. I wasn't questioning why the guy was not at work. I was questioning why the didn't contact me. BTW, I setup and appointment with another place for 2pm Thursday. Thursday morning (today), just before writing this, someone from the place calls me and asks if I can bring the car in earlier. Every time I go to this location, the staff at the front desk is extremely rude and condescending. I have received a lecture every time, as well as been berated repeatedly, merely for attempting to be a customer. When I purchased tires here, I opted for an additional warranty and need to return to this business for services to keep it. I wish I had not done so, as I have zero interest in ever doing business with Mr. Tire again, at least at the Burtonsville location. I have looked at reviews for other locations and the corporate office replies to complaints with their customer service line. Well guess what? When you call their customer service line in the middle of the day during the week, there is a recording saying no one is available and to leave a message. This was probably one of my worst experiences at a mechanic. I go in around 1:30 for a FREE brake inspection, explaining to them that when I brake the car shifts to the right really bad, took them about an hour, tell me my brakes are fine so I explained more thoroughly to the mechanic servicing my car. He said he's going to take it for a test drive to see what's wrong. An hour and half passed, I ask the front desk when will my car be ready? She responds with that they're fixing it already and they're gonna charge me for an hour of labor..... I'm already tired and frustrated and hearing that they were servicing my car WITHOUT telling me what was wrong or how much it was going to cost. She tells me that a bolt was loose in my tire rod and that it's $101. Dude. I would've fixed it at home if i knew that was the problem. Another hour and half goes by, I ask again, where's my car? No one has touched my car, the guy who was servicing it had left for the day. Are you kidding me. Lady at the front goes and yells at the guys to fix my car since i've been there for 3+ hours. It took 10 minutes to tighten it but I waited 2 and half hours for it. What's even worse, I had to pay $100 for it. Did I want to pay it, no. I had been there for 4.5 hours, I haven't ate, it was hot in the waiting room, I was so very frustrated I just wanted to go home. This was the worst experience EVER. The guy who "serviced" my car was tall skinny man with curly hair and glasses. When I had looked back there to see if they were working on my car, he was chilling talking to a girl that was in the back. Receptionist was talking on the phone about him to their manager CC or something, said he had just walked around the entire time instead of servicing my car yet I still had to pay for an hour of labor, like you're kidding. I was very pleased with the interaction I had today at Mr. Tire, Burtonsville. My tire pressure light went on and the young man who assisted me checked the air pressure in all my tires, reset the notification, and just told me to come back for a more thorough inspection if the problem continued. Wish I would give it a zero but i can't so I give it a one. Absolute worst car experience I've ever had. This has been a 6 month long struggle of getting my money back! AND I STILL DONT HAVE IT. I purchased a deal to buy three tires and get the last one free. The "free" one was supposed to be given back to me in a rebate. Absolutely nothing was free and never got a rebate card from them. I called and called and called for months and nothing! They have been giving me the run around all this time. Called the store and they said the old manager sent it off to be mailed (never got it). Called corporate and corporate said they are not allowed to send money on behalf of the store... SO SOMEBODY IS LYING! For some reason corporate can't issues me a refund but they can issue me another service on my car in the EXACT SAME AMOUNT OF THE REFUND. Save your time and money don't come. Liars. Worst shop ever, needed a new tire on my BMW 750,they had to order and I dropped off the next day, the called me about 1pm to tell me they needed to use heat to remove the tire, I went to the shop, the mechanic with cheap harbor freight tools had stripped the lug nuts, I told them to put back and I will take somewhere else,and the $510 tire they were going to sell me was used! I have never had problems with my tires and I've owned my car for well over three years now. My tires started giving me issues, so I came to Mr. Tire to get them replaced. Not even two weeks after a full 4 tire replacement, my tire pops. This never would have happened if they didn't "realign" my tires, allowing the rim to dig into the tire, cutting it open. I will only be returning to a Mr. tire because of the warranty they convinced me to pay for, but I am so beyond disappointed in both the service and how they "took things into their own hands" without consulting me, which later caused the problem I have now. Went there today for a tire rotation and oil change. I was told it would take 45min to an hour. I checked in at 1:39 and left at 3:10 because they never pulled my car into the shop! People came after me and somehow got service before me! I also heard the desk attendant tell someone at 2:10 to come in at 3! When he came in he was told to come back the next day because they could not fit him in! I am not sure of what process they use to determine the order of service! I will not be returning! read more

Well, I won't be returning. I had a tire sensor monitor replaced that went bad just a couple of days after the repair at Mr. Tire. I had my regular mechanic look at it and it turned out Mr. Tire put the wrong sensor in. When I went back, the manager told me that since I had the part replaced somewhere else the warranty was void and they wouldn't give me a refund. I told him that since they used the wrong sensor the first time I had no reason to believe they'd fix it right the second time. I also pointed out that I didn't want to be inconvenienced further due to their ineptitude. Needless to say, the manager was unwilling to accept any responsibility for the lousy repair. In the end, I told the manager that I'd purchased multiple sets of tires from Mr. Tire over many years but would never do so again and to enjoy the $115 they'd made off me because they'd lost a customer for life. read more

The store manager Christopher Shall runs a negligent team. They create their own fee assessing system, it's a different price, I don't know any shop that charges $600 for an oil change and tune-up. Any damage incurred to your vehicle due to their negligence is assessed as a fee to you. They're also pretty vigilant as to who they will overcharge and who they provide accurate pricing. In the past I have had very good service with the prior manager, but today, September 15, 2021, I had my back brakes looked at, and the technician ran into a yellow pole, scraping the driver's side bumper. When I saw my car and asked why it was yellow, the technician said, there's nothing yellow back there that could have done that. I said it wasn't like that when I dropped it off. I later complained to the manager, who repeated the same exact phrase, there's nothing yellow back there. Low and behold as I looked through the window, I saw several yellow poles which you pass before you pull into the garage in the back. When I went back there to point out that it was the same color yellow that was on my bumper, everyone in the shop denied that they had done it. But that is not what they said. Initially, they never denied doing the scraping. Instead, they said there was nothing yellow that could have done it, which was clearly false. This shows all three of them as liars. Do not get your car serviced at the Burtonsville Mr Tire, as they are without integrity. The truth is not in them. Truly all I wanted was an apology. I won't be returning. read more
