This is our second time to get our tires here. We received good service the first time. The second time is what this review's all about. We needed tires so my husband went on their website, wrote down the tires we need and was given an appointment day and time which was 2 days later. It was a weekday so he decided to take the day off. When he went at his allocated time, he was told they don't have the tires. Imagine his dismay! He was there at 8 am and they didn't have the tires. He was told they'll order them. My husband said he needed them that day because we were going on a trip the next day. They told him and as soon as they have them they'll give him a call, which was predicted around 2 pm. They were apologetic. As promised he had a call from them around 2 pm and I went back with him. They took care of us as soon as we got there. The price is reasonable and they do a great job. My only complaint is the company policy that if it's special order tires, you have to be physically in their location to order the tires first and then go back once they have them. It just seem redundant and time consuming for me. And they don't tell you this on the website. I have to mention that we're 30 minutes away from them. Will we go back? Yes, because the staff are great and the price's reasonable. But we know to order the tires in advance. read more

Deciding how many stars to give on this updated review was tough. Let me start with the people at this location: They are AWESOME. My 2 star deduction is because of the company's "We don't care about the customer" process with their website. Let me explain. I needed to get new tires before a Saturday trip. On Wednesday I went to the Mr. Tire website, selected this location, and chose the tires I needed (Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus). It didn't let me pay for them, but I was able to make an appointment for 8am Friday. My wife and I scheduled a full day of errands in preparation for having the car ready by 10am. On Friday morning, I was at the shop at 8am for my appointment. Austin greeted me with a smile and warm hello. I let him know who I was, and he confirmed my info. Then the news... He would need to order my tires... WHAT?!?! That is when Austin informed me of how the website works. Even though the website knew the tires I wanted and let me make the appointment, the company does not differentiate if tires are in stock or not. He apologized profusely about how the website works. He said he could get the tires that same day by 2pm. However, that meant our entire day of running errands with shot. Our day now consisted of making sure we would be back here in the middle of the afternoon instead of in another town where we needed to be. I can not fathom how the company carries so little about their customers. They should have had the tires in stock at my appointment time or informed me that the tires would only be there at a certain time after I showed up to confirm that I really wanted them. Regardless, the company had no intention of actually keeping the appointment and let me make. As promised, austin had the tires there at 2pm and they were on quickly. They put my car on the alignment machine, but it wasn't needed, so they didn't charge for an alignment. I love and appreciate that honesty. I have mixed feelings about returning because of the terrible company policies. Austin and the other employees were great. But Mr. Tire as a company sucks. read more

Went just to get a battery put in, but that's followed with a courtesy inspection. No big deal, although not what I asked for. However, thankful for it being done because I had several issues with my vehicle. I.E. air filter, tire, wheel alignment, brake pads and rotor. I decide to get those things fixed on 12/19. I own a 2014 kia optima, and my original quote was around 1800 or so, but after sitting from opening at 7:30am to about 4pm and being told that the car wouldn't be ready until the following Monday staff was kind enough to drop to 1567.56 I get a call with an update that they don't have a part that's needed and would need to get it from the dealership. Dealership sends wrong part I understand things happen but from my understanding, when putting something together it's safe to assume that you would make sure you have what you need before taking it apart, but I don't know much about cars. However, the inconvenience for the little amount of work being done was totally unacceptable. With no one volunteering a rental service or anything especially right at a major holiday. Causing me to have to find rides from others and inconvenience them. I finally get my car from mr tire on 12/29 and I'm told at pickup that they weren't able to do the alignment which I've never been told and have had several alignments since owning the car. Total was still 1202.36 extremely overpriced place, would recommend trying other places first. read more

These guys were great. We were driving from Atlanta to DC with our 4 kids + dog and got a screw in our tire. They squeezed us in, even though they were slammed, and fixed it while we waited. No one batted an eye about the four kids eating Chick-Fil-A in the waiting area and they even let our dog wait inside with us. They fixed it and got us on the way quickly. read more

I brought in my land rover to Mr. Tire today for some wheel/tire issues my wife was complaining about. Michael behind the counter was very helpful and knowledgeable and accommodating to my (silly) questions. I'm planning on coming back and have him do a courtesy inspection before I take my family to our summer trip this year. He got my vehicle all fixed up and had me out of there in less than an hour. Went to Mr. Tire as the tire on my SUV kept losing air. They are convenient by they are pricey. It was $29.90 for the repair as the tire had a nail. This is about $10.00 than the other places in town. They weren't busy and it only took a 1/2 hour to repair. If you can, just drive to the other places and save a few dollars. read more

I took my vehicle to this place for an oil change. With no other issues outside of an oil change needed. Once my oil change was complete I got in my car to go home when I immediately heard a noise and felt an out of balance feeling while driving. I called back and asked if the mechanic had done anything outside of the oil change and was told "No" by Austin the manager of the Danville location. I went home and parked my vehicle and when I came out my tire was flat. I called back and informed Austin that my tire had gone flat but I did not have any problems with my tires before my visit. He informed me to bring it back. I did go back the next day and I was informed the tire was "unable to be repaired" I was also informed I could buy a new tire for $200 plus. No offerings to help were provided and there was no form of sincere customer service given by the assistant manager either. I did not appreciate how I was treated when this issue was not caused by me nor was I having any problems with my tires prior to this visit. read more

If you have a maintenance warranty this specific location in Danville will not acknowledge it...although other Mr.Tire locations do. In addition I left my vehicle there for at least 4 hours. Once I picked it up the maintenance light was off..but my tire warning light was still on. After expressing great disappointment to management I just decided to cut my losses and simply NEVER return to there business again. read more

I use to recommend Mr Tire until this afternoon. I went in to have a oil change and brought my son who just bought a Chevy Malibu a day ago for his oil change and to replace a bulb in the headlight. It finished after 6 because we were told they had to remove the whole bum[er. We were in a hurry after that and started driving back. We heard something dragging the road. Seems they had broken the plastic cover under the car and simply pushed it back so when we started drving the cover dragged the road. Then we took a closer look and found a crack on the bumper as well. We just bought the car from a used dealer in Burlington and everything looked great. I too had a bad experience. They lost my housekey because they separated my car key from the lanyard. I was going to let it slide until we found the cover hanging and crack. I hope they will make it right. Called but they were closed. I hope they would make it right tomorrow. Will post again read more

Last week, I brought my car in for an oil change and to get a dim headlight replaced, and my mom brought her vehicle in for an oil change as well. My mom didn't remove her car key from the lanyard on which she had multiple keys attached, which turned out to be a big mistake. While working on her vehicle, the mechanic removed the vehicle key from the lanyard because he claimed that the lanyard was bothering him while he was trying to work. This seems like a ridiculous statement to make, considering that an oil change should require minimal time behind the wheel, but the worst part is that they failed to reattach the key to the lanyard before returning they key, instead leaving the lanyard on the passenger seat, and when my mom picked up her lanyard, the house key was missing! We thoroughly searched the vehicle for the key but to no avail, and the mechanic claims that he doesn't know what happened to it. Unfortunately, it gets worse. As I was driving on my way home, I noticed that I was hearing something drag against the road. I immediately stopped and looked under my car to see what was causing the sound and saw that the front shield (the plastic part under the vehicle that's supposed to be attached to the front bumper) was hanging down. Apparently, to replace the headlights in my car, they needed to remove the front bumper, and they forgot to reattach the shield when putting the bumper back on. A little frustrating, but an honest mistake...except for the fact that either in the process of them handling my car's bumper or because of the front shield dragging on the ground, my car's front bumper is now noticeably cracked along the bottom. We called them to complain about this and they refused to take responsibility, instead claiming that it must have have been cracked beforehand, as if I wouldn't have noticed such a clear blemish in an otherwise undamaged car. TLDR: My mom and I took our vehicles in for routine oil changes and to replace my headlight. In the next four hours, they proceeded to lose my mom's house key, neglect to reattach my car's front shield, and directly or indirectly crack my car's front bumper, all while refusing to take responsibility. read more
