I had already had a brutal week, with one thing after another going wrong. Now this. I'd cancelled AAA (after several bad experiences with them, including a disastrous one almost a year before), and I'd just realized I couldn't get my saved private tow-truck company info either, from the backup smartphone I'd started using when my usual one was broken the night before by a faulty SIM-card from my new cell-service provider. In fact, the reason I'd been out at all, as a high-risk "elder" breaking "isolation" during the Pandemic, was the necessity to go in person to the cell-phone provider's counter, dealing [in part] with real humans, to restore any emergency phone service whatsoever. After spending 12 hours on it, I'd just gotten "voice-only" restored, so that I could at least call the following day about repairing the car's a/c, whose compressor had failed a day earlier, at the start of a heatwave. I was finally on my way home, 30 miles away. I was exhausted, overheated, dehydrated, had not eaten all day, and felt I had risked my life by having been to a major Department Store. This had not been a good 24 hours, and it had just gone dramatically downhill. Enter Sander [D___?], your employee and my ANGEL, without a doubt. On a trip with a friend, he nonetheless stopped, got out, evaluated the situation, and clearly knew a lot about cars. He was very bright and personable. After politely and considerately asking my permission to help me (which involved handling my belongings), he managed to unload my trunk which was filled with heavy boxes of equipment and trash and about 30 "wine tiles" (think "heavy", like cinder blocks). He accessed my spare (a "donut"), examined it for usability, and before I (or the 3 police officers, called by passersby) knew it, he had the manual jack out and was under the car getting the old tire off (not easy) and the donut on. Along the way he explained what he was doing (must be his habit). Then he somehow found space inside my junk-filled jalopy to repack enough of the heavy stuff from the trunk so I could still access the "spare" well and the jack and other emergency supplies, and not have to lift all those heavy boxes and things myself from sidewalk to back seat. His evening (and that of the friend with him) was definitely disrupted by his stopping to help me, and I was and am most grateful. His friend commented, "He does that all the time. That's just him. Can't just drive by someone without trying to help." I had to be pushy to get his name, as initially he just repeated that he worked for "Mr. Tire" (which explained his knowledgable manner). I believe he said Ryan was his supervisor, and I'm sure he said Glassboro, NJ, but my "smart"phone kept erasing the info as I tried to input it in case I forgot. One thing I won't ever forget is Sander's kindness in stopping, his reassuring and efficient manner, and his invaluable help (for which he would not accept payment), in what was otherwise a grim and desperate situation for an old person like me. He is a shining star, and I wanted to compliment whoever had the foresight to recruit him as an employee (Ryan?), the store that is lucky enough to retain him, and the company that I hope will promote him (and keep this letter in his personnel file). I just had the worst experience from the Mr. Tire in Glassboro NJ. I came to the store with a coupon and indicated I was requesting the $19.99 conventional oil change. Somehow, the manager Stan Kraszeiwsk interpreted that as a full synthetic oil change and ended up charging $68+ dollars for a bait and switch scheme that was obviously carefully planned. I cannot imagine what type of business this is that flip-flops services and overcharges customers, especially those that are elderly. I'm particularly upset because the last time I came to this location I received very good service. This manager and perhaps the whole business is disingenuous and deceitful. I warned other customers in the location to make sure their coupons are honored and the service they want is provided instead of the bait and switch. read more

been taking my cars here for maybe 2-3 yrs, using either SimpleTire or TireRack and delivering direct to glassboro location. Last winter had tires installed on our Miata (a fair weather garage queen), 2 mile ride home and into the garage for 3 months. Finally out for first ride 2 months later and it feels awful, take it back, these aren't balanced right! They confirm out of balance but after 2 months I have to pay. Seriously ? grrrrrrrrr. This weekend I drop our SUV off with tires I bought from TireRack. These are directional tires, so as soon as I get home I check. Damn it! 2 are wrong. I call them, they ask me to bring back today. My wife had to take time off from work this morning for their mistake. Then she gets attitude from the miserable bearded wonder. My wife wasn't sure if it was under my personal cell or my work cell. can't look up by name? then "which side is wrong?", my wife didn't know. "WHICH SIDE IS WRONG!?" sorry, still don't know. Is the attitude because she is a woman? I sure he wouldn't treat me that way. She should have said go look and figure it out dumbass, you guys are the tire experts right? the arrow with ROTATION is your first clue. And after all of that, not even an apology for us having to bring it back. You just lost a customer. Maybe have training on customer service. read more

Never again. I took my car for oil change and they quoted me a price of $99.00. I informed them I pay $69.99 at the dealership. They applied coupon and promos to my account and quoted me $68.99. Hmmmm. I was told that I need to replace the battery, I questioned that and took it elsewhere to have checked. The second place informed me that my battery was fine and Mr Tire didn't understand that there's a cover on my battery and didn't get a proper reading. I purchased two new tires two days ago. This morning one of those tires had a blow out. I returned to Mr Tire in Glassboro. I was expecting the worst, however, I was pleasantly surprised. No fighting no argument no trying to get my point across. The Manager James Anstey was great. He was friendly, knowledgeable, eager to make sure, I, the customer was satisfied. I repurchased a different brand of tires, paying the cost difference between the two , receiving credit for my other tires. I'm spreading the word. Go to Mr.Tire. If I could give a zero I would. I recently had four tires placed on my vehicle. I replaced the original tires that came with my truck. Shortly after having the tires replaced I developed a vibration. While at Mr. Tire it was communicated to me that my brakes were nearing 3 mm and that I should have them replaced. I took my vehicle to my regular mechanic and upon doing so he discovered that the tires were completely out of balance to a avg of almost 2 oz per tire. He also discovered while getting my new tires a stud had been broken off, and the lug had been placed back on by just a hair of a thread. No one at Mr. Tire disclosed this information to me. It also cost me and additional $70 to get the stud replaced. So much for any savings on the tires I purchased. After posting this review a regional manager contacted me. I forwarded him my bill and they paid for the cost of broken stud. read more

My car was making a clicking noise, so I do some research and find out it may be my idler pulley or my alternator going bad. I make an appointment at Mr. Tire, drop it off, and tell them what I found out from other people who had similar issues with the same car (2007 Nissan Altima). They give me a call shortly after and tell me I need new belts, specifically a belt tensioner pulley. $500 later I pick it up and it's STILL making the same noise PLUS a new noise. I bring it back in and they tell me I now "coincidentally" need a new water pump and alternator, which would cost me at least an ADDITIONAL $1,000. So apparently they missed that the first time but didn't hesitate to charge me $500 to fix something I'm not even sure needed to be fixed in the first place. Long story short, DO NOT bring your car here for repairs. Mike, the manager, just takes advantage of his customers' lack of car knowledge and tries to upsell everything, even though he'll insist you're getting a "good deal". read more

My mom used to go to them a few years ago and always had a good experience. So I figured I'd get my tire fixed there when I had noticed a slow leak. Since it was a Sunday I called to ask what the store hours were. The man I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. He suggested I make an appointment so that I would be in and out quicker. I followed suite but didn't think it would really make a difference if I had made one or not. I got there at my appointment time and saw how many cars were waiting to be serviced in the lot. I got nervous and prepared myself for a long wait time. I checked in at the desk and had a seat. Maybe about 20 mins or so into sitting and waiting I saw them pull my SUV in the bay. I thought to myself how long it would be and I was also bummed thinking I would have to buy a new tire. A man in the waiting room struck up a conversation with me and before I knew it I was called to the desk and told I was good to go. I asked a few questions about what the issue was. It was explained in great detail. Tech was very knowledgeable and helpful. I felt comfortable with the service I received and even better all I needed was my tire to be plugged. read more

I understand that there will be people in each company that may make mistakes. How the company decides to handle those mistakes speak volume. I went to get an oil change at this location but the person that did my oil change did not do it properly. I noticed my vehicle acting funny so I decided to check the oil. Thats where I noticed the dip sticks was marking the oil at least 8 inches above the max line. I then realized they put too much oil. I called the company since I was worried my car was acting funny. I did not receive the answer I was expecting. I was informed to pass by the company and they will drain it. Since that didnt answer what they will do to have my car acting normal again I called and made a claim through their 800 number. I was informed there is a risk manager assigned to the case. I was informed by the chevy dealer that my transmission fluid was drained 4.5 quarts and my oil was filled an additional 4.5 qts. That means I had 9-10 qts in a 4.5 qts car. After a few days without a car, I was worried they were trying to push this under the rug. I was right, and no claim was ever filed or district manager ever informed. I called the 800 number again and requested their insurance information. A screener then called the company and tried everything possible to convince me not to file and to convince me that I did not have a case. Luckily once they gave up I was able to talk to the insurance carrier and the adjuster agreed with the findings. I have not yet received a call from the manager or the risk manager. After all this stress I requested to get my oil change money back but now I have to ait 6-8 weeks. I have dealt with them before and I cannot go there anymore. read more
