I was a bit apprehensive…read moreabout the process - mostly having to buy tires and have them sent to an unfamiliar shop, as I am new to the area. I was also worried about going just any where, because I am female - though with a fairly extensive automotive background, I like to do without the hassle of sleazy grease monkeys who try to take advantage of unsuspecting women. That being said, I read some reviews and took a chance! Before I clicked "order", I called to inquire about a few of the installation charges and to get a feel for the process going forward. I spoke to the owner of Export Tire and he confirmed my inquiries, even offering to price out the same tires at his cost, in the event he would be able to save me even more money. When he realized my pricing was better, not one single word was mentioned about trying to undercut or sell me a different or cheaper tire. What a relief! When speaking with him, I asked if I would need to schedule an appointment once the tires were delivered - he said "no way, you're welcome to stop in at any time. We will get you right in, even if I have to do it myself." Color me impressed! As soon as the tires were delivered, I received a confirmation call from the shop. I know this was instant, because I had an email confirmation as well. I told them when I would be by, and again they assured me it would be fine. I asked how long it might take them, and they told me it would be about 20 minutes or so. When I arrived, they took my car right in (as promised). I sat in the waiting room for about 30-35 minutes, but only because I had a tire light on, and they were trying to erase the code before they sent me on my way. Not a problem at all. I also inquired about the use of Nitrogen instead of air, because I saw they were offering a deal on it. I believe it was the owner I spoke with again, and he said that it wouldn't make too much of a difference - not to waste my money. (Although, admittedly, he said he did not have it at that point). I also asked him for my tires to dispose of myself, which saved me a few dollars as well. He didn't argue or question my request, and they even bagged them as not to dirty the interior of my car. All in all, this shop - the owner - the technicians - the process from purchase to install was 5 star all the way! Don't hesitate to take your vehicle here! These guys rock! Thanks, y'all.

This dragged on for a week. When they did get the car finally towed they immediately said we need a new engine. Said it threw valves and timing chain was bad. I called another place and they towed it to his shop. He fixed the car in 3 days. So went from whole new motor to fixed in 3 days. Make sure you check out who's going to work on your cars. Apparently making a correct diagnosis is not an option here. But they were OK with changing my son 160 bucks for towing the car.

Ok, that's fine and I asked how long it would take for the part to come in. The gentleman stated he wasn't sure, but they'd call me when the part came in so I could setup an appt. Ok, great. 1 Week later I stopped in to check the status on the part and the gentleman said, Oh, your part is here we just have to get you set up for an appt! I also asked if my oil change was done because I paid for it and I saw no sticker on my car anywhere. So, 1) Ok Grrr... Nobody called me but, ok, let's get this done and 2) The gentleman went out to check my oil and it was not changed! So, they scheduled me to come in another week later being today, Thurs 04/30/26, for an oil change and to get the turn signal light strip on the mirror replaced. THEN the gentleman tells me today that my car didn't pass inspection because the left ball joint is loose and the control arm bushings need replaced. So, Why was I Not told this on the 16th?? Now, I have to go back Again on Monday!

Grossly overcharged for mounting 2 tires…read more Service: Mount 2 motorcycle tires on rims carried into shop. The good: Friendly knowledge Service, quick turnaround, replaced valve stems without being asked. The bad: Owner did not double nut stems until asked. After service completed, owner stated had i purchased tires at shop cost to mount and balance is 29.99, since I carried in tires in mounting and balance was $80 per tire. Total cost to only mount 2 tires was $160, no balance was performed but was charged. In all fairness, I expected some type of fee for bringing tires in however a 275% increase in cost is simply price gouging. I had hoped I found a shop for inspections and oil changes unfortunately they took advantage and lost a customer. I will be sure to share this experience online and I will take my business back to the dealerships. Response to owners comments: He is correct, the tires were balanced with beads that I provided that are dumped into tire while mounting. The point he misses, he charged to balance the tires on a balancing machine. A service that was not needed/performed but he charged for it. I mentioned replacing valve stems as a positive however, the service was not requested nor required. The stems were not leaking and the tires held 30#'s all winter. Again a service performed and charged without my request or knowledge until after one tire was completed and they destroyed the other stem on second tire attempting to remove. As a previous manager of a auto service shop, the number one rule is never perform a repair to a vehicle that adds cost to the bill without approval from customer. Lastly, I have no issue paying a fair price for service (in fact I tipped the mechanic $10) however price gouging is a poor business practice. However its clear he believes even a 200% increase on rhe most basic service is acceptable. FYI. I will gladly attach my bill here shortly so anyone can clearly see the charges for themselves and draw thier own conclusions.

NTB/Mavis tire McCandless Pa…read more I got screwed over one too many times today. On 7/19/26I had a blowout on my camper trailer on rt119 so we take all the wheels off I took them to NTB in Mt. Pleasant PA told them to put 4 new tires,valves stems on them. They were real nice and got right on it said it would take a half hour to 45 min. I went got lunch when I got back they were done and it was pouring down rain so I paid them and backed in they loaded them into my truck.Long story shorter 40 miles away I'm on the turnpike and the dry rotted valve stem breaks now we are 1 foot off the white line changing a tire again. I went to NTB McCandless on 7/22/26 I told the girl that was at the desk the whole story and first she told me she as short staffed then it went to she would have to check with her manager to see if they would fix it so I came back on 7/23/26 spoke with the manager told him the whole story and he said he would take care of it but once again short handed. I totally get he is having issues at the store because he told me himself. So he made me an appointment for 1:00 on Sunday 7/26 I was there early and had an infant baby with me so 2 hours later the girl comes back tells me everything is done the tire were in the back of my truck and was ready to go. I specifically asked her if they balanced the wheels she assured me they were balanced so I left without checking. We went to put them on the camper and there were not any wheel weights on any of the rims. Go back at 8:00 this morning 7/28 1st one in the door and the same girl all 3 times which is my 4th time back to NTB McCandless she proceeds to tell me that my tires were balanced on Sunday and I would have to wait. When I told her this was my 5th F ing to NTB to get my tires fixed. She immediately said I was not going to talk to her like that,she said I had to leave. I told her after 5 trips to get tires repaired I was not leaving until they were balanced I walked outside backed my truck up to the door opened the tailgate and sat on the curb to wait.Then the next thing I know is 2 McCandless police officers are giving me my last warning to leave or be arrested and have my truck towed and if I step foot on NTB property I will go to jail. AS MUCH AS I LIKE A CHALLENGE my meds are working and I had better things to do so I declined and left. I go 22 miles each way to NTB Cranberry I told them the whole story and Ashley said she would have it taken care of it if I would leave them and come back so I did. I went back later in the day she took care of balancing my tires with no problem. While I was there I asked her for the regional managers email address she said she would have to call him to get permission to share his information.She came back and told that he "was aware of the situation and declined to give me his information" not even allowed to have his name or email I just wanted to make him aware of what happened and I would have left it at that. Like I said meds are working. But now I'm here after 6 trips to an NTB over 100 miles and many hours later and I am told out right that I can't have contact information for management. To be fair they did give me a phone number to call which I'm sure is going to be one of those automated systems that will be a waste of time.
