I highly recommend Mr. Towits Wrecker Service. I called and asked how long a truck would be and they told me 30 minutes and he was there within 30 minutes. Newer nicely equipped tow truck and easily was able to tow my Navigator. He immediately towed my SUV to where I wanted and followed us. He dropped off the SUV and gave me the invoice and left. Friend was ran off road to avoid being hit, other vehicle fled scene, they towed her vehicle. She called to see if it was drivable was told yes. We went to go look at vehicle and were NOT allowed unless she paid $630 upfront. She said what about my personal belongings? He said $25 and i will go get whatever is in your car. He was rude asf, first said when we approached garage because doors were open we needed to go to office inside or his dog would bite us, She was very nice to him but was asking why we couldnt at least see vehicle, he slammed the window shut on the office and walked away. From everything i have looked at online this is ILLEGAL. Really need a zero star because they are zero and really negative stars. read more

There's already several 1-star reviews, but this 1-star comes from the CEO of a car rental agency. My employee was told $225 on the phone, but upon arrival (same day) they add on additional fees (increasing the total to $380) for "processing" and get this... "load out" -- which in the owners own words is a $50 fee to drive our vehicle out of their building because his insurance won't allow us to enter his building to drive it out ourselves. fuck this place. illegal and shady as hell. they only take cash so they can charge hella extra and pocket it. refused to let me see an ITEMIZED BILL and expected $975 CASH. they were incredibly rude. they don't list accurate prices online, they have a printed out list in their building with all the prices which are way too fucking high. wouldn't let me get shit out of my car or even see it until I paid $975. I cannot afford that when my car isn't even worth $900. they've caused me so much distress and anger and have costed me my only transportation. I work for an insurance company. The tow service we use called about 10 times over 2 days, and each time it went to voicemail or just rang. When I finally got ahold of someone for them, the guy that answered said he had already gone over what we needed and wasn't going to do it again. When I mentioned that the tow company had repeatedly called and could not get through, he said they were lying. When I asked why they would lie, he repeated they were lying and hung up. If only there was an option for zero stars!! This is the most shady company I've EVER dealt with. Donnie with Mr. Towit's is a crook and liar. He charged over $5500 for our truck to be towed!! Yes it was bad and required 3 tow trucks involved truck being in water, but still outrageous! Our 4wheeler was also towed. We spoke prior to him faxing the insurance company a bill. I told him since we don't have a policy on the 4wheeler they won't most likely won't pay that. He said he had plenty of experience and already didn't mention it on the invoice so they'd take care of it all. He got paid by insurance and told us we could pick up our belongings. I told him we didn't have a truck to get the 4wheeler that day and asked if he could hold it or if we needed to arrange something else? He said it was not going anywhere and we could get it when ready. We picked up our belongings and 3 days later came back to get the 4wheeler. 4 wheeler was gone!!!! He said he scrapped it!! I reminded him of our phone conversation and he said he never said that and he records all calls etc. I told him I'm giving him a chance to make this right and to please listen to the calls if he actually does record them to remind him of our conversation. He said he would and he would email me copies of the calls. I asked where the 4 wheeler was he said A Miller recycling. He called back shortly after, to ask me the value of the 4 wheeler and what I thought it was worth considering the accident. He said he'd ask Cupis their opinion on the value also. I told him I don't want money I just want our four wheeler back, we did not give him permission to scrap it. I thought wow he's actually not a bad guy and is going to try to fix this mix up. In the meantime we had called the recycling company and the four wheeler was there. They said we could pick it up at no charge. Being the honest person I am I immediately called Donnie with Mr. Towot's and told him the good news. I told him were good and we'll go pick it up. THEN he tells me I owe him almost $500 for towing the 4wheeler and if I didn't pay it he'd turn it into the secretary of state and have my license revoked. In our initial conversations (which he SUPPOSEDLY recorded) This charge was never mentioned when he called to say he received payment, when he let us pick up belongings, or even when I first called him today. Now all of a sudden he made up an additional bill after he already banked from the insurance company. In the meantime I contacted my lawyer for legal advice and they told me he's a crook and he can't legally do anything. There are now laws that say such thing. He's just trying to use the scaretactic. You don't even need a license to drive a four wheeler!! The icing on the cake is he called me back saying he went back and picked up the 4wheeler and we can't pick it up until the bill is paid. We were on our way to get it!!!! He knows he was wrong and knows that's the only way he's going to get more money. He is a shady, crooked, unprofessional, manipulative liar. Sad that people take advantage of others and insurance companies in such way. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! read more

On 10/13/21 my neighbor accidently dropped her car off the side of her driveway. She had 2 wheels off of a very steep edge, and the car would have rolled over if a clump of small trees weren't holding it. Mr Towits was called by a kind neighbor who wanted to pay the bill for the car ownere. The guy showed up with a CAR HUALER, not a wrecker!! He proceeded to abuse that girls car as he dragged it along on its undercarriage, taking down small trees and brush with the passenger door. He pulled it on its belly sideways for at least 15 feet. WHY they sent a CAR HAULER to do the job of a WRECKER, we will never understand. They operator said that if he know the car was in this situation, he would have brought a wrecker! Question: WHY did he NOT go back and swap this for the WRECKER when he saw the situation?! NO COMMON SENSE. He should not even be able to charge for doing that to someone car. read more

When you are in an automobile accident you have no choice in who takes your car from the scene of the accident, but when you use a company for your personal use by all means do not choose this tow service. We were in an accident and everyone in our car were taken to the hospital. My husband was the most severely injured. Once my granddaughter and myself were released and my husband was admitted we realized our house keys were left in the car. My son-in-law called Mr Towits number and spoke with Donnie (the owner) asked about getting the keys from the car. Donnie rudely explained the office was closed and it would cost $60 to get our keys. At 9 pm we were ready to head home and decided we had no choice but to pay the $60 to get our keys. I called and again, this Donnie spoke to me in a demeaning manner acted as though I was asking for an outrageous request after all it was 10 o'clock. (It was 9 pm) I told him I felt he was rude and had no compassion for people who were forced to use his service. He told me I was screaming at him (I wasn't). He agreed to dispatch someone to the shop so I could get my keys from the car in a half an hour. The gentleman who met us there Tommy was very courteous, helped us get belongings and even texted me pictures from the accident. I told Tommy I was getting my car out of there shop as soon as possible as I didn't want to contribute anything to this business due to the rude manner I was treated my Donnie.
