A well-kept secret! Just off Highway 68, not far from Watts Bar dam and nuclear plant, is an unassuming family style eatery. We had cheeseburgers & fries, then topped it off with a Butterfinger Cyclone. Very good! The cheeseburgers are delicious! I love grilled buns! The staff is very friendly and the place is clean. I'm not really sure why the reviews are all so low. Mr. Twister never claimed to be fine dining. And if you're in Ten Mile, there's not much else so the bar should be pretty low. That said, I would put their burger up against anyone for a no thrills, just plain good hamburger. I've been eating here for the last 2 decades and I keep coming back. In fact, when I'm at the lake, I have to ration myself and realize that I can't get a double bacon cheeseburger and tater tots everyday. My waist can't take it. But somehow, I still end up eating way too many burgers every time. read more

We recently moved to Ten Mile and everyone told us to eat here. Its okay, it great because we don't have to drive a long way when we are hungry to get a burger some place else. The food is okay, nothing special. We have only had burgers and hotdogs from there. Seemed a little pricey food is meh. read more

We came for soft serve ice cream. The owner and staff were very nice and accommodating. They have updated hours but doesn't reflect on Yelp, so we arrived 15mins before they closed. I always feel bad arriving that close to close. read more

No other restaurants open for breakfast. One waitress and she worked her butt off. Food was ok, service was incredible.

My husband thought it would be fun to eat here. It wasn't. Dirty with a capital D! Hamburgers & fries weren't anything out of the ordinary. I couldn't believe people were ordering ice cream from a machine because I know how one should be cleaned daily. To top it off....a little kid got sick on the pavement by the door and no one seemed to care if it was cleaned up. Now that should tell you something!!! Mr. Twister has been around for ages. Two different owners have had it since we have been in the area, but they have maintained the distinction of good ice cream on a hot day along with reasonable hamburgers and fries. The wait staff have cycled a bit, but are always friendly and attentive. A few times they have tried to branch out to a more extensive menu, but shy away from anything but a good burger, fries and a Coke. read more

The waitstaff is always friendly and accommodating. The bacon cheeseburger, Ham and cheese on Texas toast (all the way) and french fries are very good. The catfish is good. read more
