When we picked Chinese for dinner tonight, we weren't expecting it to have such a western ambiance to it. When we walked in Bridge Lane, I didn't think this restaurant would have a line outside. To be honest, I was expecting a hole in a wall, casual vibe. It turned out to be a huge place with a bar, an open kitchen, and plenty of space where ducks hang dry ready for Peking Duck. We sat by the bar as we didn't have a reservation. The menu items were not extraordinary, I mean, items were common like Kung Pao Chicken, dimsum items but they were cooked well and presented very well. Quite impressive. We ordered 3 items between two of us and we were so full.
Lunar New Year means Chinese food at a restaurant recommended by so many friends - Mr Wong. Arrived at 12 for lunch and was able to walk in with no reservation. This restaurant was very large -2 floors - we were seated in the basement which was a very cool ambiance- loved the decor. Ordered hot and sour soup, roasted duck pancakes, fried salt and pepper tofu, egg noodles with mushrooms and scallions. All delicious and very tasty. Service - prompt. I highly recommend.
Mr Wong is a popular Cantonese style cuisine restaurant located in Sydney CBD. It is hidden in a back alley. I recommend making a reservation as the place is often packed. The restaurant itself is large and occupies two floors, is nicely decorated, and has high energy vibe. We ordered the Peking Duck Pancakes, King Crab Fried Rice, and King Prawns, Scallops, and Calamari wok fried with XO sauce and glass noodles. The Peking Duck Pancakes comes with 8 pancakes and some scallions and hoisin sauce to be wrapped. I would say this is a 3 out of 5. The duck is more a traditional roast duck than a Peking duck. In a traditional Peking duck, the crispy duck skin is served separate from the duck meat. In this case, they just cut up pieces of roast duck to you to be wrapped. The duck skin wasn't particularly crispy. The King crab fried rice is served typhoon style which includes a healthy topping of crispy garlic and chili. It is only mildly spicy and the crispy garlic offers a unique texture to the crab fried rice. Decent portion of the crab in the fried rice. I would rate this a 4 out of 5. The King prawns, scallops, and calamari wok fried with XO sauce is our favorite. I would score if a 5 out of 5. The dish is served in a clay pot so it is piping out. Generous amount of seafood and the glass noodles soaks up all the sauce so is quite tasty. The drinks are also unique here and worth checking out.
We came before dinner opening to line up for a chance to try this place. It was walking distance from our hotel so we wanted to check it out. The place is pretty dark but the Chinese food was good. The peking duck was great and tasty. The fried rice was a bit salty for me and the wonton soup was okay. I would recommend to try if you're in Sydney!
This restaurant was mentioned several times in conversations about where to eat in Sydney so we had to try it. You must make a reservation. You will not get a table without one. Our reservation was at 5:30pm which is when it opened. There was a mob of people outside waiting for it to open. It was well managed when the crowd started filing in. Our waiter (Ben) was great. He walked us through the menu and size of options to help us create a perfect meal. We started with dim sum. We got the steamed option and customized it to be 6 pieces instead of 8. Lots of seafood. It was so good. While the duck pancakes were a signature item, we skipped them so we could try some other options. The pancakes are really more like make your own spring rolls or like an Asian soft shell taco. Looked fun but ok that we skipped. Next was steamed prawns. This was a fav choice. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the ginger and cilantro worked well with the taste and texture of the prawns. Finally, we had pork and shrimp fried rice. Again, very good. The restaurant is in a building that looks like a refurbished warehouse. The exposed brick and unfinished ceiling give it a cozy, authentic vibe. It's super busy and, therefore, quite loud. While we were there with only two people, I can see this being a great place with a bigger group to be able to share and try more dishes. Great experience. So glad we were able to eat here.
Perfect ambiance like a movie. What a hidden gem. Found it as we looked for another establishment and noted the big lines. So we figured food is probably worth it it. And much to our surprise everything we ordered was amazing. Including the green beans. This cannot be replicated @ home. Then infected friend in Hong Kong who is a foodie and confirmed that he visits whe he is in town! Great dimsum !!! Big lines to get in ,though we were able to snag bar seats. Overall the staff very attentive as usual for Sydney standards. Now comes the food. quality was above average and memorable to come back a second time.
Lovely ambiance, polite service, but okay food. Mr. Wong is a very popular restaurant in Sydney and requires a substantial deposit. The restaurant itself is located in an alley off bridge street. It has a nice vibe. But for the price I was expecting the food to be of much higher quality. The dimsum was overcooked. The Peking Duck was solid but definitely not elite. The stir fried mushrooms were tasty but a bit on the greasy side. The cocktails were quite good. The review is a reflection of what one would expect from a high quality restaurant.
This is one of the most iconic restaurants in Sydney. Based on my research online and when asking a couple friends, everyone was raving about Mr. Wong, so we made reservations about 1.5 months in advance to secure a spot! Each reservation guarantees two hours and we made ours for 2:00P. Their lunch hour ends at 3:00P and the restaurant closes for a couple hours before dinner. When we arrived, it was completely packed, but started clearing out after 40 minutes, so for the second half of the reservation, we didn't have any other customers around us and could enjoy our meal in a quieter environment. The prices here are on the steeper end for Chinese and dim sum dishes, but the options are very diverse and unique. I'd consider their dim sum items elevated and with many that I've never seen anywhere else. + JADE DUMPLING, PRAWN & CHIVES w/ KING CRAB (A$24): The large snappy prawn in each dumpling was the focus, especially being encased within an ultra-thin wrapper. I didn't notice more than just a pinch of crab, so that was a little disappointing. If not for the menu, I probably wouldn't have even known there was crab in there. + PAN FRIED SICHUAN STYLE LAMB DUMPLING (A$24): Exactly how it sounds, the filling of this crispy fried dumpling consisted of shredded lamb with some spice. It was pretty gamey, but also bold, and any fans of lamb will enjoy it. + CRISPY BEAN CURD ROLL w/ WILD MUSHROOMS (A$21): These were so good, we ordered a second plate! Similar to an egg roll, crispy bean curd sheets were filled with a mix of wild mushrooms and shredded carrots. The rolls were served on top of a hoisin-like sauce that was both savory and sweet. This is a must! + ROAST DUCK & CHIVE DUMPLING (A$22): The chives were pretty potent but I could still taste the five spice of the tender duck. The meat was lean and surprisingly didn't contain any fat or gristle. I enjoyed how unique these were and could have eaten another order of them. + BBQ PORK RICE ROLL (A$24): The rice roll was silky and had a good portion of chopped BBQ pork. We also ordered two items from the regular menu. + TWICE COOKED GREEN BEANS (A$34): A solid vegetable dish! The beans were cooked nicely and still had a crunch. There was a generous amount of minced pork and the XO sauce had a mild enticing spice. + HONG KONG STYLE RICE NOODLES (A$42): This is their version of a beef chow fun. The noodles had a delicious char flavor and based on how tender the beef was, I could tell it was great quality. Bean sprouts and chives added some crunch and the dish had just the right amount of soy sauce. Service way surpassed our expectations. Our waiter was so friendly, had a great sense of humor and went above and beyond by changing out our plates three times during the meal. Additionally, most of the dim sum items include only three or four pieces, so for the ones that only included three, he suggested just adding one additional piece to the order (at the price of an extra piece), so that we didn't have to get two orders of all of them. 4.75 stars.
When in Sydney go to Mr Wong for a fabulous Cantonese dinner. A beautiful old, dark restaurant with wooden walls that is always crowded. We had the excellent Peking Duck and superb beef cheeks. Good service which was helpful and courteous. But go for the food. You won't regret it.
If you're looking for an excellent Chinese food, highly recommend this one. From the moment you walk up to this place, it looks like a dimly lit abandoned bodega and located in an inconspicuous alley that similarly feels out of place. The only that gives away that there's a business there is the long line that forms 15 to 20 mins before they open. But it's exactly what adds to the curiosity and ambiance of the place. It has 2 levels for dining and a bar on the bottom floor. Once you enter. The waiters are lined up behind the hostess ready to welcome and wait on the customers. They have an extensive menu that you can request to be half or small size as they come in big servings and is on the pricier side. Thanks to my server who volunteered that information and he also pointed out the dishes, especially the vegetable dishes, cannot be ordered in a smaller size.
The lively atmosphere made for a memorable birthday dinner in Sydney. I opted for bar seating which was perfect for my solo dining experience. The bartender was personable and offered a few menu items. I selected the Sydney rock oysters... they were super fresh. I prefer sweet oysters and these were not. I also ordered the crab fried rice. The half of the half order was enough for two people. What I most appreciate about Mr. Wong was that it seemed less touristy and looked like more of a local spot. If you ever find yourself in Sydney, give them a try. I promise you'll enjoy the experience.
Mr Wong is a modern take on the traditional and heartwarming Cantonese cuisine, with stars including dim sum and Peking duck. We came here as a walk in on a weekday night, and they were thankfully able to seat us. It seems that this place is always busy when we pass by, filled with people dressed to the nines for a night out or in casual garb looking for a good, hearty meal. Mr Wongs is best when shared, as most of the dishes are quite large and you can hardly stick to just one. We got the Peking duck, king crab fried rice, wonton soup, king Pao chicken, XLB, cod, and braised pork belly. It was definitely too much food for two people, but I can't think of a single dish that I would have forgone. My advice is to go with a big group so you can try everything. My personal favorite fish was the cod. It was perfectly sweet and melted in your mouth. The rice was a close second and was definitely very filling. Next time I'd love to also try a dessert!
Delicious tea. DELICIOUS dim sum. We did think the sides were portioned WAY too big. We were a party of 3 and got the crab fried rice, 9 dim sum, the prawns, and green beans and we barely ate half of the side dishes which made me feel really wasteful. But the dim sum was divine and the service was delightful! And I could've drank the liquid the prawns came in as a soup it was so tasty! Beautiful environment both upstairs and down.

The food here is very good! It reminded me of my visit to China. I found it very legitimate. The place is very busy and large. I love the open kitchen idea because you can see what's going on, but also, as I said, remind me of China. The service is good as well. My friend and I were fortunate to get a table quickly without prior reservations because we were a party of two. However, for larger parties I noticed it takes quite long. They do have two bars for the wait and if planned ahead, the wait can be handled. Definitely, a highlight on my visit to Sydney. read more

Five stars for a Chinese joint.... yes sir! Decided to hit this place up after a cancelled flight back to the States. It's located in an unassuming nook downtown. My mouth literally started to salivate upon entering the establishment and being smacked in the face with aromas de jour! Sat alone at the bar while awaiting a table. They don't serve food at the bar which for solo diners like myself kinda sucks. They do have a small kitchen bar where I ended up eating but requires a hostess to seat you. I started with the fresh oysters. I mean... I've eaten tons of oysters but whatever this varietal was they were euphoric! I'm a soup whore and to me, soup can say a lot about a restaurant. Hot and sour soup, how good could it be? Try it. Fried rice, pretty standard fare right? Try it. Mongolian beef, had it many times, how good could it be? Try it. I could've, and maybe should've, ordered something different that you can't find in many and all Chinese restaurants but I decided to go for the obvious. Lastly, I'm also a fan of super clean bathrooms. What makes Mr. Wong's unique is that it's a communal bathroom with individual stalls. The dim sum is out of this world!!! I couldn't get over the duck and chive dumplings. The ambiance and decor are unique and fun. The waiters are kind and will give you a very honest opinion. Would come back many times over read more

Not too many quality places down around the circular Quay and the Rocks that are of quality and non touristy so Mr. Wong's is a little unique. If you are in a back alley with dumpsters you are in the right place. The atmosphere is amazing the food is excellent but IMHO nothing better than you will find in any other quality chinese restaurant. * --- Sound the gong, review 100 is Mr Wong --- * Tucked surreptitiously down Bridge Lane, Mr Wong gives off the impression that he's up to no good. As you saunter down the seedy alleyway, eyeing off racks of poor dead daffy, you tend to wonder if Mr Wong is a chinese conglomerate of all those evil asian guys in your fave 80s classics (Blade Runner; Big Trouble in Little China; The Golden Child --- same guy right???) But that's where the disuasion ends... For Mr Wong, the brainchild of Dan Hong (not James Hong) is a good guy, a really good guy! 6 of us rolled in here mid-week with high expectations, and those expectations were exceeded. The service was a breath of fresh air, the wait staff clearly trained in sliver service taking care of the finer details (chopstick stands wtf?) as well as the simple ones (like water). We never had to flag anyone down and there was plenty of interaction but not an excessive amount - and the banter was fun and friendly. I fired the first shot on the food and got us started on the duck pancakes. As a litmus test dish they were a strong showing, being some of the finest I have had... and I have had plenty. The twice-cooked green beans with pork mince and XO were a serendipitous surprise and the steamed sea scallops were sublime. BUT... The coup de grâce was the sweet and sour crispy pork. Red squares of magnificent Mao conjure communist Tiananmen innervisions. I don't really know how to describe this except it's kinda like sweet and sour pork with crack (is that why they call it crackling?) Look, they even managed to elevate the fried rice. I don't know how they did this but it was somehow the best fried rice I have ever tasted whilst not stealing any of the pristine sheen standard of the high quality dishes. This was an easy 5 to give and they almost never are. Great food, excellent wait staff and well-timed gaps on the food service. The atmosphere downstairs is electric and you have a postman's slot view of Palmer and Co next door with a waft of sweet soulful Jazz tunes filtering through to soothe you. Everyone already knows about this place but I figure I should chime in. The queue here is ridiculous...if you have a party of 6 or more you should definitely book ahead, otherwise you will need to wait like everybody else, and the wait can be 2 hours or more on busy nights. Prior to coming here I was always accustomed to cheap and dirty Chinese food; you know from the food court or hole in the wall or place you go that your parents picked out. Paying more than $30 for a dish was blasphemous in my eyes. Well Mr. Wong pretty much blows all those preconceptions out of the water, thanks to Dan Hong's magic. I've come a few times already and each time has been a great experience, even if I had to wait 2 hours (I'm looking at you Chin-Chin.) I've had a pretty good range of the menu and you should definitely pick these: Grandma's Sweet and Sticky Pork Ribs Mr. Wong's Special Fried Rice Barbequed Honey Glazed "char siu" Pork Pippies Work Fried with XO Sauce Mud Crab Wok fried with Black Pepper "Singapore style" The Mud Crab is on the pricey side at roughly $150/kg but SO WORTH IT. They'll bib you and bring out the hot towels and you'll feel like you're making a mess, but the Mud Crab with Mr. Wong's Fried Rice is a combination for the ages. Come here for a date, come here with friends, come here to celebrate, or come here for celebrity sightings, either way you won't be disappointed. read more

I had a pretty spectacular meal here the other night... pricey... but top notch all the way! The shrimp wonton soup was one of the best I've ever had, incredible broth and absolutely perfect shrimp wontons. Smooth french pinot noir. PERFECT desserts! Like... out of my mind, incredible dessert! We got the mango pudding, salted white chocolate ice cream mandarin thingamidoody & the baked chocolate ganache with green tea cream & raspberries... My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Gonna be back here ASAP. Amazing! read more
"So full Tea Mapo Scallop Chicken Rice Rice!! Dear god deepfried icecream Dying so full" You know it's been a good meal when you wake up the morning after and find notes like these in your phone. Mr Wong was the perfect date night venue on a recent trip to Sydney. I love that in such a huge venue it's still possible to have a feeling of intimacy, with multiple nooks and sections giving the illusion of a smaller space. We were here for three hours. Starting at the bar with the wine list and then moving through to our table, our bottle of Chardonnay lasted the entire evening! Interspersed with multiple pots of (amazing) tea and mineral water, it was nice to enjoy the wine over a period of time and not feel rushed to finish it. Service was impeccable. Our waitress knew just how much attention to give us, and apart from dropping off dishes and pouring more tea, we were given a wide berth to do that gag-worthy couply stuff. The food was incredible. I insisted on getting half a bird. And the scallops. And the fried rice. And the mapo. And the vegetables. Yes, it was far too much food but we dined slowly and made a serious dent on everything. He then insisted on dessert and that's when I realised I should have stopped eating about 30 minute earlier. We went back to our hotel and lay there, hands on bellies, whimpering softly until we fell asleep. If I'd died right there and then, I think I would have been pretty happy. read more

I came because of the raving reviews but I forgot majority of the people who reviewed this place are "westerners"... To me, a tourist coming from Hong Kong... this place is only ok. I gave it a 4 because the flavor is authentic Cantonese... and I appreciate the fact I can find something like this outside of Chinatown, with such an upscale environment. It's very similar to the Cantonese fusion food I find in LKF in Hong Kong... From the decor, vibe, even the food itself, this place screams "banana" to me... (Perhaps if I was living here or in the Western world, I will love this place to death... but not when I live in HK now...) The food is authentic and is very good. But would I pay A$30 for 8 pieces of shumai? I think not. I ordered the mantis shrimp too and sure enough, it was de-shelled and made easy to eat with a fork and knife... silly me was thinking I am going to roll up my sleeves and get physical with those shrimps... the fight was over before it was even started... So yes, I will recommend this place to all who have been deprived of good Cantonese food... Oh, did I mention the queue is ridiculously long? Another day, another five star, Chinese-inspired meal in what is quickly becoming my favorite city in the world. Matched only by nearby Spice Temple, Mr. Wong has it all: an incredible and unique atmosphere, a varied yet affordable luxury menu, and the quality and service to back it all up. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? If ever an atmosphere could kick off a dining experience in the right way it's that of Mr. Wong. Tucked off the main streets and almost anti-advertised against what is otherwise just a unique stone archway setting, a step inside Mr. Wong has you immediately contained within one of the most unique dining settings in the city. For starters, there is at least seating for 250+ tiered across small and large tables and full service bars alike, and the attentive and professional staff do a marvelous job of keeping everyone happy. The menu, it almost goes without saying, is incredible, and if you can't find something that sounds life-changing there's no hope for you. I opted to double down on the dim sum 8pc sampler and the Shanghai Duck Noodles, and I didn't regret it. Star Granted. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? All things considered, Mr. Wong is downright reasonable, and while it's largely in part to an absurdly strong USD, I came out absolutely stuffed having eaten enough food for three people for $40 USD. The dumplings were surprisingly the more expensive of the two dishes given the absolutely massive size of the Shanghai Noodle dish, but both were priced well within what's reasonable. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Excellent on all accounts. My dim sum sampler was a bit on the exotic side for someone who is perfectly content with Din Tai Fung's Xiao Long Bao, but the two lobster dumplings, two seaweed fish dumplings and two (pork? maybe?) dumplings made for a fantastic (and all too filling) starter. From there, the Shanghai Noodles were excellent, with flavor of their own complimented by strong black pepper and slices of tender and flavorful duck. There's nothing more I could have asked for here. Dual Stars Granted. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? I've thought about it extensively since having visited both, but both Mr. Wong and Spice Temple are the definitions of world class Chinese food, and I'd be privelaged to visit one or the other daily. This is the best Chinese restaurant in Australia. Top 5 restaurant in Sydney. I went with my family of 5 and boyfriend and we ordered tons of dishes to share. This is the way to do it. Go with a big group so you can try everything! I loved everything I tried but my favorite was the dim sum and Peking duck. The cocktails are also incredible. Make sure you walk to the back to see the pigs hanging and the chefs in action. Top Merival restaurant! I can't wait to go back. read more

After reading these wonderful reviews, we decided to give it a go. Unfortunately the Tuesday night dinner is a very bad experience. Service is terrible. The waitress greeting us is arrogant and impatient, no smile and no eye contact. We paid by EFPOS and the waiter charging us made three mistakes in a row and kept talking about excuses without simply saying "sorry". Food is OK. The Szechuan-style dishes, Kung pao chicken and Twice cooked green beans, are not authentic and with too much sauce. However, vegetable soup and mango pudding are very good. A Chinese restaurant just for people from non-Chinese background. read more

Ambiance: Colonial Hong Kong chic! From the secluded back alley entrance...Right down to the incredible music drifting across the room. Food: Between 3 of us. We tried the duck pancakes, dim sum, scallops, bug stir fry and chicken stir fry. None of us could choose between our favourite and we left food on the table. All exemplary. Wine: we split a bottle of "the sack" Shiraz...a fantastic flavour profile pairing with all of the dishes. Reservations: they don't take reservations under 6 people. We arrived early on sat night (about 630), put our name on the list and went down the street for an aperitif. The hostess text us when our table was ready, so it felt like no time at all. read more

I believe I've been to Mr Wong way too many times over the past two months and it's always a great experience. From the front staff to the food I give this place 5 stars! You can't go there and not order the duck pancakes or the black pepper king prawn. Great atmosphere and amazing food. Can't go wrong there. read more
Food = excellent Service = excellent Cocktails and wines = excellent Ambiance = Excellent Staff knowledge on drinks and food = excellent This restaurant serves delicious Chinese food - slightly modernized - with a kick. Stand out dishes for me include, the duck dumplings, pork ribs, the crab and the dumplings. It's best to order a few dishes and share to try everything. The waiter also had superb knowledge on the wines so if you need recommendations to go with the food, they know their stuff! read more

Mr. Wong's was highly recommended to us by our hotel concierge. They were scheduled to open at 5:30 pm for dinner and when we showed up at 5:15, there was already a sizable line to get in. At 5:30, they began seating people and they worked through the line quickly. We got a table downstairs next to the bar and the hostess reminded us they needed the table back by 7:45 pm ... We said no problem. For the three of us, we ordered the following: Deep fried dim sum Peking duck Green Beans Beef cubes Roast Pork Combination fried rice Deep fried ice cream Generally very good, but not great and here's why ... Peking duck skin was not crispy (merely roast duck deboned and served with Peking duck fixins), beef cubes very flavorful but could have been a little more tender, deep fried ice cream was severely melted. In short, pricey but worth the ambience and very good food. Also extensive wine list. read more

If there is one restaurant that more people told me I had to visit when coming to Sydney, it was Mr Wong. Perhaps it's because of my penchant for Chinese food or perhaps because I also own a place that serves Chinese-inspired food (on occasion). But whatever the reason, I am very glad that I made my way here for dinner last night! Getting a table, even on a Monday night, can be a challenge but it can be done. Patience is a virtue! Once you're in, it's worth considering having a cocktail at the bar--there's a list of themed cocktails, each named for a Chinese province, as well as the usuals, and they are professionally done. The menu is somewhat unattractively presented in a binder with plastic sleeves, but don't let that put you off, since the dishes certainly all read very well. We opted for a starter assortment of "steamed dumplings" (though they are actually more like shumai) that were all very tasty. There's two each of four kinds, one of which is vegetarian, and they make for a good start to your meal. From there we had a vegetable salad, salt and pepper Balmain bugs, steamed fish fillets with ginger, crisp pork hock, snow pea shoots, and a mixture of four mushrooms, all of which were excellent. And the price was quite reasonable for the location, quality and size of portions. This is a happening restaurant of the moment and well worth the acclaim. read more
Hands down best yum cha in Sydney! Always worth booking a table in advance if possible. Upstairs has a slightly more business like vibe and downstairs is a bit more fun. Great wait staff- don't hesitate to ask them for advice, always have good recommendations. You almost can't go wrong with any of the dim sum but my faves are: Wagyu beef and truffle, duck and chive, prawn rice fried roll, and Peking duck pancakes rocked our world! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Everything was simply amazing here, especially the king crab dumplings! I will definitely be returning and hope the consistency of the food stays the same! Can't wait to come back again for the dumpling and try other dishes. The Peking duck pancake was amazing too!!!! read more
This is not your typical Chinese restaurant in any metropolitan area. Mr Wong's is a jazzed up restaurant that presents Cantonese fare in a setting where you can bring a business client or perhaps a fancy dressed up date. So basically know that when you come here, you're paying for the ambiance, which to me is fantastic. Very modern industrial look with accents of Asian influence On to food, if you are looking for the best dimsum, this is not that place. It is however very good. We tried both the steamed and fried platter of dimsum. The steamed ones are way better hands down. The fried ones were tasty but not as good. Quality of ingredients is high. We ordered a couple of other things. Soup was good and tasted healthy, by that I mean not too salty. If you are looking for cheap or super authentic Chinese, this is not the place but the place serves very good Cantonese food in a great setting. read more

Excellent fusion Chinese restaurant highly recommended by my Sydney friends and famous enough taxi drivers know by just the name of the restaurant. For our party of 3, no prior reservations were accepted but we spent a pleasant 45 min having cocktails and wine at the adjoining bar within the establishment. Must visit again and next time I'll come for the lunch to try their dimsum read more

I was graving good quality Chinese food so bad so I took cab at 10pm to Mr Wong to hv late dinner by myself (yes I'm crazy) (it was my first time visit Mr Wong, hahahahaha) Ordered two starter, half crispy skin chicken, big fried rice.( planning to pack up for my bf ) scallop was very nice, wasabi is not too strong, u can only taste little bit. Crispy skin chicken is amazing! Exactly what I wanted n feel like home ;) this chicken is already worth my can ride! Fried rice ? Am I back to the kong? 2nd time back, order the steam fish (love they use light soy sauce) honey lemon chicken wings ( exactly honey n lemon crispy chicken wings, nothing more nothing less) half duck was too greasy for me :( Look forward to try yum cha next time :) read more

Would totally recommend for a high-energy dinner or date night (it's quite loud). Vegan and vegetarian friendly dishes that actually taste great. Some of the best wait service I've received in Sydney. 4.5 stars (rounded down to 4). --- Attended on a busy Friday night. They don't take reservations (on busy nights, I think) so had to turn up, put our name down and wait just under 2 HOURS for a table for two (thankfully I knew before hand and planned another activity in between). The quality of service and modern chic dining experience was more than enough to make up for the very long wait. The food tasted much higher quality than your typical cheap Chinese restaurant but was definitely pricy for what was. Don't come here if you're you're looking for cheap Chinese - you'll bleed 3x-4x more money than you need. I'm a strong meat eater but the vegan options were delicious. read more
