I've become a big fan of this local chain, although this is the only location I've tried. All the way across town from me, so visits are predicated on being in close proximity. One positive observation is their consistency and friendly service. Another is their relatively lower sodium levels compared with other Chinese restaurants around Riverside. Like most they have a $1 upcharge on the BBQ pork, but it's totally worth it! Sometimes the orange chicken is a bit stuck together, but they also offer a choice of regular and spicy. The shrimp with broccoli is a nice choice, as are the braised pork ribs with jalapeños. Very tasty, that! Need a snack? I really like their chicken egg rolls. So good! Mr. You in Corona was our Quick Chinese place to go. Great food and good service. Then, there seemed to be a change in management and it took a down turn. It just wasn't as good. After several visits, we just didn't like it and stopped going. We were in Riverside recently and saw a Mr You nearby, and decided to try it. Nice interior, steam table filled and fresh looking. I ordered a 2 Combo plate. The server filled the container to overflowing. Good size portions. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't there. My wife agreed. Neither of us finished our food and took the rest home. Hard to describe, the flavor wasn't very good. Not bad, just not very good, similar to the Corona location. There is a reason why there is often a line out of the door! I've tried many of the items on the stream table and I've never had anything that wasn't good. The food is always fresh and thanks to those long lines, they are always replenishing the food. The line moves fast. The price is SO reasonable and the portions are unbelievable - you have to see it to believe it! A two-item order is enough to feed 2. We each always order a 2-item meal so we can have enough leftover for another meal the next day. Their chicken and vegetable egg rolls are good and also reasonably priced. Yes their orange chicken (regular and spicy) is a very popular item and it's really good! But so is everything else. All the dishes do not taste the same. Check out the huge pieces of teriyaki chicken - when you see them slicing it you think they are going to give you half, but you get the whole thing! Some items have a $1 surcharge, but it's clearly marked. I've never ordered anything off the menu, just off the steam table. I bet the menu items would be even better! The service is fast and efficient - those ladies pile it on until they can't close the box, literally!! If you are one of those people who doesn't like your food touching other food, you won't like it here! There's no way to get all the food in the box without piling it on! The Corona location is so bad I gave up after years of being a faithful customer - food is bad, portions small, service bad, restaurant/restrooms aren't clean. The Corona location can't hold a candle to this one. It's worth the extra drive to come here! There's a tip jar by the register, don't ignore it, these ladies deserve a tip!!! They offer self-serve soft drinks - so much better than "cans only" in many Chinese takeout places. They have one restroom which is old but clean. There is plenty of room to eat in, and the only recommendation I have is that the tables should be cleaned more frequently - they always feel a little sticky. Food is cool. I usually support the upland location but I moved to riverside so I tried to support this spot but I'm done. Came in for my usual order Orange chicken, teriyaki chicken and rice. I stood and waited 8-10 minutes for fresh chicken which was no problem, but when they finally brought it out I watched the girl purposely scoop the old chicken at the bottom to put on my plate. Then when I went to pay I asked the lady who can barely speak English for a extra soy sauce and one extra teriyaki sauce and not only did she not put any soy sauce in the bag but she charged me for the one extra teriyaki sauce, which they never done ever, I was just at the upland location the past week. Oh man! After reading the reviews I was excited to continue my cream cheese won ton hunt. They were cold (even though I was here at 11:05) and no green onion at all. Just cream cheese and sugar. The beef with broccoli was in abundance with fresh broccoli but the meat had bones and fat! The chow mein started okay until I felt a crunch in my mouth and another bone toppled out. Also there was a piece of pork in the chow mein. If I had an allergy... Service was good, the cashier was smiling and friendly. The food was (mostly) hot and the restaurant was clean.
