Mr. You in Corona was our Quick Chinese place to go. Great food and good service. Then, there seemed to be a change in management and it took a down turn. It just wasn't as good. After several visits, we just didn't like it and stopped going. We were in Riverside recently and saw a Mr You nearby, and decided to try it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice interior, steam table filled and fresh looking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered a 2 Combo plate. The server filled the container to overflowing. Good size portions. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't there. My wife agreed. Neither of us finished our food and took the rest home. Hard to describe, the flavor wasn't very good. I've become a big fan of this local chain, although this is the only location I've tried. All the way across town from me, so visits are predicated on being in close proximity. One positive observation is their consistency and friendly service. Another is their relatively lower sodium levels compared with other Chinese restaurants around Riverside. Like most they have a $1 upcharge on the BBQ pork, but it's totally worth it! Sometimes the orange chicken is a bit stuck together, but they also offer a choice of regular and spicy. The shrimp with broccoli is a nice choice, as are the braised pork ribs with jalapeños. Very tasty, that! Need a snack? I really like their chicken egg rolls. So good! The food in general is very fresh and they're also popular with delivery services such as Übet Eats and Doordash. Give them a try, I bdt they'll be your new favorite, too. read more

Food is cool. I usually support the upland location but I moved to riverside so I tried to support this spot but I'm done. Came in for my usual order Orange chicken, teriyaki chicken and rice. I stood and waited 8-10 minutes for fresh chicken which was no problem, but when they finally brought it out I watched the girl purposely scoop the old chicken at the bottom to put on my plate. Then when I went to pay I asked the lady who can barely speak English for a extra soy sauce and one extra teriyaki sauce and not only did she not put any soy sauce in the bag but she charged me for the one extra teriyaki sauce, which they never done ever, I was just at the upland location the past week. I'm not sure if it's a racial thing because I'm black or what but the staff here is weird and I'm never supporting this location again read more

The fried rice was hard like if it wasn't cooked all the way . Also when i asked for just a side of rice & chow mein the guy gave a strange "wtf" look on his face. fun fact Mr. nice guy i dont eat meat. so yea i only came for noodles and rice. Oh man! After reading the reviews I was excited to continue my cream cheese won ton hunt. They were cold (even though I was here at 11:05) and no green onion at all. Just cream cheese and sugar. The beef with broccoli was in abundance with fresh broccoli but the meat had bones and fat! The chow mein started okay until I felt a crunch in my mouth and another bone toppled out. I heard so many great things about this place and just had to try it. I got orange chicken, kung pao chicken, chow mein, and fried rice. The orange chicken and chow mein was by far my favorite! The kung pao chicken had an amazing flavor but the chicken itself was a little mushy for my taste and there was more veggies than chicken. I also got cream cheese wontons and wow were they perfect! The service was so quick and the amount of food you get for the price is incredible. It wasn't exactly what I expected going in, but I definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick, affordable Chinese food fix. read more

Still just as plump, with their signature, wonderful pork- shrimp filling, my taste buds let out a big sigh of relief. I've had to endure some pretty horrible ones from other restaurants lately. Big Skyy's is superb. Next, the black bean pork ribs. Wonderful, just as we remembered. A healthy portion, plenty of meat in spite of the bones. Great gravy. Finally, the eggplant with beef. This one was extra special, made with generous amounts of filet mignon, eggplant cut in spears, cooked in a salty sweet garlic sauce that is very special. It was melt-in-your-mouth, swoon worthy. One of my favorites. They still accommodate large family groups, a few big round tables for 6 or more. The staff was very friendly and took the time to answer all our questions. They feature the same marvelous menu and the same chef who creates those traditional Chinese dishes with pizzazz. It's wonderful to re-acquaint ourselves with an old "friend". This is the most bizarre mapo tofu I've ever had. Rather than the traditional ground pork and wood ear mushrooms, this came with long strips of fried pork and no mushrooms. I'm also used to thicker sauce, but this one was very watery. A tad spicy, but not over bearing. Maybe a recipe from a different Provence of china? Not what I was looking for. $15.00 later and a fortune cookie...and I was done. Not sure if I'd come here for the mapo tofu again. Others in the restaurant offered the 2-3 item combos. I adore this Chinese food joint! It's always bustling, with lines sometimes stretching out the door. The food is so fresh and hot, and they pack the bowls so high that closing the lids is a lost cause. One plate here could easily feed two people, maybe even three if you're not too hungry.
