This has to be the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. Fried rice was not fried at all. Tasted like day old rice mixed with some undercooked rice. Too many big chunks of onion and vegetables in there too. All of it without flavor. Chow mein was bland. Orange chicken was terrible, too much batter, hardly any orange flavor and almost no sauce. Same with teriyaki chicken. It was dry with not much flavor. Hardly any sauce. Their teriyaki sauce is watery so it went straight to the bottom. Mushroom chicken was a major fail as I only had 3 small pieces of chicken (one was mostly fat) and the rest was just a ton of mushrooms. Bbq pork was awful. Cheap seasonings to cover up the cheap dry pork that had tons of fat on it. Their mixed veggie had potential, just leave the tofu and soggy zucchini and out of it. I thought the coconut shrimp was ok but some of it was chewy. After a few bites of everything, my husband and I were so disappointed that we just threw it all away. I love this place. Good food, good portions, good prices. That said, they run out of items frequently and you should not believe them when they say it'll be out in 2 minutes. Just order something else or leave because they will box up the rest of your food, leave it unattended on the counter, and it will stay there until the end of time. Was talking to my boyfriend about this place last night, a lady who use to babysit me would get Chinese food from here. My mom told me today that her coworker & her family are severely sick with salmonella poisoning that has lasted them 2-3 weeks. They ended up hospitalized because the salmonella poisoning is so bad! Needless to say I'll stay away from eating there, as I'm pregnant. I would advise everyone else to stay away as well. Be careful eating here as their food temperatures are not at 165 degrees! They have been caught picking their nose, touching their hair & then proceeding to touch the food. This place has been around FOREVER it seems because it has been about 10 years since I have last visited. I used to come to HoHos multiple times a week back in the day until they changed owners. The last owner was so rude and awful to their customers. After finding clumps of hair in my food, I vowed to never come back to this establishment ever again. This past weekend, I wanted to try something new but was so tired of all of the food in the area. I decided to risk it all and give HoHos another try. When I arrived, there was a line out of the door and only one employee working and one cook. The person at the front was a young girl who was very kind. Although they were slammed, she was getting the orders out very quickly. I was about to leave because i didn't want to cause more stress for her, but before I knew it, she was already taking my order. Honestly, the portions here are huge and the food is fresh. The cook that was working was constantly coming from the back to the front to check on what they were getting low on and quickly refilling the trays with steaming hot food. I saw him in the back making everything fresh, even down to mixing the ingredients for the sauces. The best thing about this place is that the prices have barely changed, even with the crazy inflation we have been dealing with. I got a 2 item combo for $8.95 and a 3 item as well for around $9 something. Since it has been years since I've came here, I was definitely expecting to pay anywhere from $12-$14 for a two item combo like many of the other places nearby are charging. I don't know if this was just a lucky day or what, but I will have to return again to see if this place really has changed for the better. If so, I'll be happy to say that I will be coming back here more often because the food was really good, it was actually hot, and the service was super friendly. Although she was working alone and looked to be pretty stressed, she still kept her composure and was incredibly nice and personable. I hope they are able to get some help soon because an employee like that needs a little break every now and then. read more

The chicken is missing in the orange chicken. It is just hard fried dough and sauce. Super disappointing. I've come here for years. This happened tonight and a couple of weeks ago. I've never ever gotten this sick from food. For 4 days I had diarrhea and vomiting, ended up going to the hospital on day 4 after I had a fever of 103 where they told me I had salmonella poisoning. It only got worse from there and actually ended up infecting my blood stream. It was so bad that my kidneys began to shut down and I had to be put on dialysis for 3 days after only having 5% kidney function. I had to do a kidney biopsy and get a catheter placed in my neck and was stuck in the hospital for almost 3 weeks. All this cause this from some orange chicken and chow mein. My 2 year old daughter and mother in law also got salmonella at the very same time since they also ingested the same food as me. Luckily they didn't get it as bad as me, but they still ended up on antibiotics and had terrible diarrhea and vomiting. I will definitely be speaking to a lawyer. I hope this review keeps as many people as possible away from this place. It's unbelievable that they can cause that much damage and nearly kill me and still be operating and serving other people food. Please, for everyone's sake, do not eat from this restaurant. They need to be shutdown immediately. read more

Our food was cold, my teriyaki chicken had no sauce, and we weren't given chow mein, and for the cherry on top, we found hair in the rice! DoorDash gave us a refund. We called the restaurant to tell them to check the rice because our food had hair. We also complained about the other instances and instead of an apology, the manager says "Next time, come in to order the food and it be hot" Me: "so you're telling me that if we come in and order ourselves, that there will be no hair in our food? Us ordering delivery is what put the hair there???" Manager: "yes, yes, come in next time" I am so glad I wasn't there in person for this conversation....... and my husband???
