They put Langostino tails and a ton of claw meat. It's a good price at $18.95 each. We both love them. The staff is really friendly and the service is spot on. it's not a sit in restaurant but the ambiance is still great inside. We were referred here by local knowledge, always the best. Plenty of quirky outside seating (my only way to eat still). Fresh smell with a perfect amount of "smoked" in the air! They had a Great selection of smoked "anything"' it seemed. Spouse is the fish eater, got a smoked salmon sandwich, and mermaid dip. He loved both! The treasure of the treasure coast has been found. Since I was about ten years old and walked a half a mile down the street to count out coins to get a piece of smoked fish back then all i had money for was the mullet which was delicious. Went back not to long ago after being gone from the area for 35 years and man o man was it still delicious great smoked dips and fish absolutely love this place since i know none other like it i give them a 10 out of ten its my starting point for any-other smoke houses. Never again. If it was up to me I wouldn't give the one star rating. My family and I decided to visit this smokehouse market because Guy Fieri recommended it. We're from Tampa. We drove 4 HOURS to try this place. When we arrived we met Brianna at the counter. My father told her with excitement that we drove 4 hrs to try their food. She seemed nonchalant and cold. When we looked at the smoked fish sandwich specials, we were told those were lunch specials that ended at 3pm. We arrived too late. So we ordered a clam chowder of some sort and crab cakes. As we're paying for our food Brianna tells us we can warm up the chowder and crab cakes at home if we wished. Really? Didn't she hear us say we drove 4 hrs to get there. To my surprise It's brought to my attention that the food can not be warmed up for you either. But no worries, Brianna re-assures me it still taste great COLD, including the chowder. Now if you like cold chowder and crab cakes then great for you but we do not. The crab cakes had a great taste and seasoning but it would've been better warm, same for the chowder. Nothing special tho. The whole experience was disappointing, from beginning to end. This was a major fail. Sorry Brianna you did make us feel very unwelcome as well. read more

Going back to childhood days, visiting Mrs Peters smoke House, was really special!l Mrs. Peters was a real sweetheart and made you feel welcome upon waking in! Everything was super! The changes since Mrs Peters was there..(RIP sweet woman.) Have continually gotten better, it's not only obvious, but even when you walk in, you still get a warm welcome with a real smile! (That's nice because out and about, there's a lot of grumpy customer service going on.) The staff there are down home and genuinely happy and friendly and helpful! They all work together really well.. It shows. Food wise, original recipe is ALWAYS available first of all. The new items that are created are excellent as always. The selections and portions are always generous. There's a lot of work that goes into making that good stuff, it's not just throwing it in a smoker. The meal prep is pretty intense and done with ease there! They all know their stuff for sure! I'm in love with their smoked crab dip, the Cajun salmon, it's hard to try new things but everything I've had has been just absolutely delicious. It's a really clean, cute place they've all created. It matches the food, it's a very comfortable place that you can take out, or eat there. I love the tikis, the outdoor look is attractive, as well as inside. We stumbled upon this place after some investigating. We often stay-cation in Jensen Beach. All of the restaurants feature this place's fish dip on their menu's appetizer selection. That's when i figured i'd go straight to the source. Yelp searching led me to this place, which could kinda-sorta be considered on the way home... And i knew we had to stop in! They encourage sampling their fish dips before purchasing, and have a lil table of napkins, crackers, and spoons. The lady brought out a few choices, and we tried all of them. Our favorite was the smoked dolphin (mahi mahi) dip. She said it was the most popular. My husband got so excited to see a smoked rack of ribs (yes, just one. The lady explained they had sold out and we were the last! Lucky us, because we ate them later for dinner and they were among some of the best i've had. We also got a smoked turkey leg (which will be for tomorrow). The prices were reasonable, and the lady working the counter was super friendly and warm. Honestly, lucky to get even a star. Ordered garlic wings, ceviche and "smoked " crab cake sandwich. I'll start with the wings, BLAND, BLAND and more BLAND. The crab cake was ice cold in the middle, inedible. What about the ceviche you ask? Also no flavor, needed salt desperately, and had a brown tint to most of the fish. The fresh tortilla chips consisted of uncooked green tortilla strips, just raw and uncooked, along with bagged chips. I'm floored that this place has the positive reviews that it has. Disgusting. Saw ads for this place on Facebook, had no idea where it was, until I drove past it doing a pickup for work. Decided to stop in and try it out. The cashier was really nice, talkative, and a good salesman. They let you try the dips before you buy and the 2 that I got were delicious. I am an associate of Mrs. Peters Smoke House, and I can assure you that only the finest quality of products are used, with absolutely No Fillers and No Artificial Preservatives.. the prior owners used pollock and tilapia in there dips.. the new owner uses Only what is on the label.. if you buy Wahoo, it is 100% Wahoo .. Mrs. Peters Smoke House has over 10 different dips now, and I can assure you, you can and should sample each and every one before you purchase one.. samples are Free and are encouraged.. The same goes for each and every Smoked Product they offer (with the exception of the ribs)... so, there is absolutely no reason to purchase a product, take home and then try, and decide you don't like it.. then make a negative review for not liking something you could have /should have tried before buying.. I have also seen several comments on here that the Mulligan's chain of restaurants own Mrs. Peters.. I can assure you, they do not .. Craig uses local Australian Pine to smoke fish on the premises. He's famous for his smoked fish spreads, but if you're in the Stuart-Port St. Lucie-Jensen Beach area, it's worth a drive down Dixie Highwary to get wahoo, garlic smoked salmon, lemon-pepper smoked shrimp, or my favorite, local spicy smoked dolphin--aka mahi mahi. It's not often I give 5 stars but this hidden gem has earned numerous times with consistent quality I've bought there's and they smoked mine. If you never been there go check it out. Update 10-28-2017..... so the old owner has passed away and a new one has bought the place ( the guy who ones mulligans) the prices are outrageous but the taste is still there. I think mrs Peters was so awesome because it was a fair handshake , good fish dip good prices. Now it's so out there in price I will not return but I make it good myself anyway. We have new next door neighbors that brought us a small basket with two smoked fish dips (Sea Twang and Mermaid) along with a box of Carr's Table Water crackers. What a treat! I don't know that either my husband or I had experienced smoked fish dip until now. Not a connoisseur, but I got to believe that this is, "Woohoo!, As good as it gets!" Since, I've mail ordered more for further enjoyment. I was not clear of the expiration date , but we kept ours longer than 4 days in the refrigerator, and consumed every last bite. I loved this place as long as I've been on the treasure coast. I went up there recently with my daughter to pick up a few fish dips for the Hubby and I. The salmon, usually the BEST (in my opinion) was a huge let down this time around. While the smokiness initially hits you, It's after taste is basically of mayonnaise. In all fairness I've just tried the Mermaid Dip. It was $12.50 for 8 oz, which isn't bad at all.... If the dip was good. Maybe it's just a preference thing, but it tasted mostly like mayonnaise. read more

Yes, this is a store. A store that is worth the trip. I brought home a rack of ribs and the mahi dip. Oh so good. Best ribs I've ever had I think. Brought them home to Rhode Island were they were enjoyed tremendously after a day of travel. BBQ sauce they come with is awesome too. I'm a bit disappointed that tilapia is the second ingredient in the mahi dip though. Tilapia is pretty much crap fish....why ruin a good thing?!
