As was my besties steak medallions. And cooked as ordered. A perfect medium rare. She had the rice pilaf and I had the loaded baked potato and both were delicious. As was the berry cobbler I brought home for dessert and ate for breakfast. The four berry combo was incredible. Don't miss out!!!

When hubby found this restaurant, it was where we turned around last night, I couldn't believe, we didn't come here sooner, instead we went to another restaurant, and ended coming back here. (That's what happens, when you search and new in town). Flowers hanging on the front porch, and first impression display as you walked inside, got me! The plague on the wall, as you wait to be seated, all signs, we picked a good finale night to spend dinner. This time, we ordered what each wanted: Hubby ordered Prime Rib, thin sliced with side dish Wild Rice Pilaf. I ordered the Cod Dinner with side dish Bacon Pepper Green Beans. We shared a salad. And a complimentary Molten Lava Cake, with a candle on it. Thank you, Danielle! Only negative that I found? This is Prineville, Oregon, why butter from HOUSTON, TX? Is Oregon butter, not good enough, for Prineville? Also: After three nights, three restaurants, there's always the same Clam Chowder, do they get their supplies from one source, or are they from Texas, too!

Prime Rib was the special during our visit; I'd rank it as below average compared to many versions…read moreover the years. There was a lack of fat which is what makes this classic dish. And it's almost as if they extracted the natural saltiness. The portion was fair. On that note, remember this is a resort, so you will probably be dismayed if you factor-in price in your evaluation. That is, there is no value at Bresada Ranch, but that's expected. The Kale and hazelnut salad was very good, but lacked "pop" like almost every dish at the resort. They seem very hesitant to use any spice. Ask for extra lemon and be generous with it. I was excited to see padron peppers on the menu, but (again) they were incredibly bland. Moreover, there's no hint that they're roasted. The amount of sea salt was appropriate though. The hanger steak was a bit tough and the red onion marmalade too charred, but I still enjoyed this dish. It was the winner amongst our four entrees. The bucatinni pasta: meh. What saved the meal were probably the best Smores I've experienced. Simple right: just three ingredients over a fire. Here it's homemade graham crackers, an excellent non-processed square-shaped marshmellow, and above Hershey grade chocolate. Love the fire pit and the roasting sticks. If you're renting a cabin, I'd opt for delicious home cooked meals then head down to their restaurants for dessert.

We also dined at Range Restaurant 2 years in row. I must say how much things have changed for the better! Our first experience was not very good because I felt like the dishes were over salted and the flavors just weren't there. However, the service was good. This year, our dining experience was excellent. Everything was bright and well balanced with seasonal ingredients. Our eldest child is an adventurous eater, and tried carpaccio for the first time, he said it was so delicious that he questions why we should cook beef. The duck was deliciously paired with some roasted strawberries for a really well balanced plate. We also ordered a pork cutlet dish that was crispy and great for sharing as well as a steak, which was perfectly cooked. The two salads we ordered had melons and cherries and stone fruit, perfect notes of summer. We ended the meal with s'mores cooked in the fire pit. It was a wonderful meal, and the server later told us that they got a new chef at the beginning of this summer. This new chef is a definite keeper!
