"Ms Peggie" Michael Sue is so sweet and friendly! My brother and I stopped in the shop this afternoon to browse the store since I had come across them on Facebook. She sits in the front entrance, gives a very warm welcome, and lets you browse at your leisure! Unlike some hobby shops- she doesn't hover over you, lets you look into the glass cases yourself, and it's got a great vibe in there! Great conversation too and you can tell by her store and how she talks that she's amazing at her hobby. I love this shop!! My boyfriend surprised me with a gift card and took me here since I love miniatures. Ms Peggie herself was a total delight and I very much enjoyed the conversation we had with her. She is very genuine and it's obvious she doesn't just look at customers as people to get money from. Their collection of miniatures is unlike anything I have seen! If you want something, she pretty much has it. There is a range of prices so there is something for everyone. She allows you to open the cases on your own and look at anything you want. This was a really fun shop! I called when I arrived - right now it's 12-4 2 days a week due to Covid and she's limiting the # of people in store as it's quite narrow to navigate with slow many cute items! I picked up a few things for my home chemistry lab :) But, she has a ton of beautiful furniture and accessories. If I planned on making more dollhouses I'd be back in a heartbeat! read more

Wow, this is the best miniature store that I have ever been to by far. The selection of this store is amazing and what makes it so great is that everything is so reasonably priced. I have seen other stores with more handmade items but everything is so expensive and out off reach price-wise. This store is the opposite, everything is so reasonable that I wonder how they even make money. If you into miniatures and are in the San Diego area, be sure to check out this store. Also, the owner is very friendly and talkative. It's nice that you can open up the display cases yourself and not have to ask someone every few seconds. read more

I agree with everything that has been posted. However, you may not know that Michael Sue, owner, also repairs broken pieces including clay and porcelain - like the Santa that your cat knocked off the hearth or my Dia de los Muertos figures that a thoughtless carpenter broke when he moved a cabinet to cut some floor moulding - without asking me to empty the cabinet. AGH!!!!! Broken fingers, arms, cane. Michael Sue can put Humpty Dumpty back together again! I would recommend that if you have a broken piece and haven't been able to fix it, run it by Michael Sue to see if she can - before you gunk it all up with glue. Also, it's so interesting to view all the incredible miniatures she has available for your collection - or you might want to start a new hobby. read more

She's truly an expert and passionate about miniatures and dollhouses! We brought in my 45 year old dollhouse that my grandfather built and needs major restoration before my children can play with it. This is the BEST kept secret in town. I grew up going to a store just like this in LA and was stunned when I stumbled upon it with my 2 young daughters. You can spend hours and hours going through the array of items she has in a very tiny store.
