I stopped in with my 6- and 3-year-old daughters, who've recently fallen in love with Pokémon cards -- something I was obsessed with back in the '90s at their age. I'm not one of the adults who still collects, but now my girls are all in... and I'm along for the ride! From the moment we walked in, they were welcomed with so much kindness. I didn't catch her name -- she wore glasses -- but she was incredibly sweet to my girls and even gifted them each a Pokémon Trainer Box. It absolutely made their day. They haven't stopped talking about building decks since. They spent the rest of our visit carefully picking out their favorite cards from the mixed singles boxes -- Jigglypuff and Pancham were top picks -- and wide-eyed staring at some of the wildly priced cards (definitely made me wish I'd held onto mine from back in the day!). Here's hoping their new Pokémon passion doesn't completely drain my wallet... but this shop made 2/22 a day they won't forget. Wow! I was traveling not far away and had previously visited Supreme Card Shop's website so I ventured over for a first visit. Such a pleasant experience means I just have to tell Yelp. Based on my A++ experience, they deserve 5+ Stars. There were several people working the store and all of them warmly welcomed me, including and especially Mike whom I took to be the boss. Everyone was friendly, helpful and professional. The store is exceptionally clean and organized. There's an ample supply of all kinds of cards, supplies and other sports memorabilia. I brought my son and his friend their today, both were shopping for baseball and Pokémon cards. Both had same amount of money (I gave them both the same amount) and were well behaved. When they were purchasing their items the man gave one kid multiple free cards and a huge discount for no reason or explanation and the other just charged full price. They were standing together the whole time which made my son feel really sad and bad. The white kid got discounts and free cards for some unknown reason and the Mexican just had to pay full price. They spent the rest of the day wondering why that happened and the white kid eventually said "I think it's because you are brown." Now my brown kid has felt like crap all day. Jake provided some knowledge on the newer cards, explained I could visit with my childhood collection for help with prices and grading, and even through a few cards towards my daughter's collection. Spent an hour or two hanging out here today with my son. Reminds me of the card shop of my childhood. Tons of cool sports memorabilia including a framed Mike Tyson set of gloves and multiple signed football helmets. The layout has a ton of eye appeal and the cases are filled with sports stars from today and icons of the past. Doug is the owner and has a passion for the hobby. This is my second time coming to this shop with my husband and first time for my brother. I came for One Piece, husband for sports and brother for Pokémon. Everyone is so nice!!! She gave some tips and a list of websites to check out to learn more about the game. She even spotted me Don cards to start building my own deck. Not only were they very VERY fair on with their purchasing (they usually do about 60% for most shops but I got 75%) but they gave me almost more than 30% off on sticker prices from value boxes (sticker was 16, paid 10)???? I really wish they had treatment like this in San Jose. I love the fact that if they don't wanna buy something, they are very transparent and gentle about it. I walked in today with hopes of selling some of my childhood cards. Bert was extremely kind and helpful in explaining which cards are worth while in terms of selling, grading and holding. Bert appraised my pokemon and sports cards and helped me ball park the rough values. After this he gave me a more than fair offer and showed me how to properly store the cards I decided to keep for sentimental reasons.
