Finally got to Dr. Rolf's yesterday for a lovely lunch on their front patio. The sauces are the big…read morewinners here. Five different blends of savory and sweet just waiting to bathe your barbecued meat in mouthwatering goodness. I was particularly fond of the apricot peach sauce. The ribs here are legit, too. Lots of meat between the bones, and it falls off those bones so beautifully. Green beans could use more flavor, but the cornbread waffles are genius--get them.

A friend recommended this place, so I brought my family here for a late lunch. We arrived around 2…read morep.m. on a Saturday and found the restaurant nearly empty, which made me a bit suspicious. We ordered the nachos with an extra $7 of brisket, a side of mac and cheese, a brisket sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich, and a kids' pulled pork meal. Almost everything arrived at the table in under five minutes--except the mac and cheese. All of the food was lukewarm, aside from the mac and cheese skillet. The speed and temperature made it feel like they had simply assembled leftovers that had been sitting out. The sandwiches tasted fine but nothing special. The kids' pulled pork meal consisted of two broken pieces of bread with only a few tiny bits of meat and a huge container of essentially room-temperature tater tots. The nachos themselves tasted great, but they were also lukewarm and overpriced for the portion--especially since the "brisket" we paid extra for seemed more like taco meat. Our waitress was excellent, but the portion sizes and prices just didn't feel worth it. The food would have been much better if it had been served hot instead of warm or nearly room temperature. I wouldn't recommend this place for a family with young kids. Overall, very disappointing.

The Armory has fantastic beverages and always has live music or a dj. Tonight there was a DJ, and since we were just grabbing dinner, opted to sit around the corner so it wasn't quite so loud. The place was moderately busy when we got there with only a handful of tables empty. Food service is simple with a qr code placed at each table for you to order on your phone and they deliver it to the table. The food came quickly and was yummy! I adored the homemade ranch and the breading on the halloumi cheese curds. Yumm-o . I ordered the Halloumi burger sans onion with the chips. It was delicious. The curry chutney is sweet but tangy. He chose the BBQ Burger without the onion or the coleslaw and tried a side of the truffle fries. Everything came out with very healthy portions and I walked away stuffed. The truffle fries were good, not too thick, but very potato-y, a bit like small potato wedges. Be warned, everything was messy! Deliciously messy. I'm definitely excited to go back and try the breaded mushrooms.

When we pulled into the parking lot some of us were hesitant based on the outside, however, I thought the outside was awesome! The murals are quirky and fun - my kid's loved the Yeti! The inside doesn't look big, but it fits a good amount of people - and they have a large bar, as well. It was fairly empty when we arrived at 1230, but by the time we left after 2pm it was busy! Lions were playing, too :) We had 10 of us and they quickly put tables together for us and were very accommodating. Jennifer was our server and she was AWESOME and handled our large group easily and with a sunny disposition. The menu is large, but not intimidating.. but makes for hard choices! They have some unique items on their menu that sounded SO good - like the peanut butter burger and walleye Ruben! Lots of apps, salads, daily soup, burgers, sandwiches, mains, and pizzas! Their kid's menu is large, as well with great side options instead of just fries. Our group started with the pizza rolls and the garlic bread balls - huge hits! Especially with the kids! Two people got the walleye Ruben and said it was great! One got the pot-roast meal and loved it. I had the smoked wings and thought they were awesome - especially the sauces - you can tell they are homemade! kids had pizza, mac n cheese, buttered noodles, chicken tenders, pulled pork, and probably some other items i am forgetting but the kids loved their food! We definitely had leftovers because portions are generous! We tried a porter they had on tap and 3 of us really enjoyed it - they have a nice rotating tap selection! All in all we enjoyed our meal and would recommend Oh Brother's for sure! We'll be back our next time in the area.
