Ms. Scarlett's did an INCREDIBLE job decorating a large booth table (one that can seat 6) next door at Bonefish Grill for my 2008 birthday. She was hired by, in retrospect, a suspiciously guilty (in the first degree, considering the arrangement) ex. He was certainly not a willing romantic, so had to be to pull something like that off. I still have to give the asshole a high five for the tainted effort. The arrangement itself spanned the length of the table with a metal candelabra in the middle and short fat candles on either end with a variety of fresh complementary greenery and lush flowers of all kinds - lilies and roses and such. Several people stopped by the table to pay admiring comments and well wishes. I truly felt like a rock star. I just have to break from reviewing for a moment to throw down for the ladies here because guys are friggin' clueless sometimes: A general word to guys/men/boys, there's NO excuse not to bestow the occasional arrangement upon your lady a few times a year on non-special occasions. I mean, you can pick up a bouquet at the grocery store for $10 bucks or less (that are not carnations), so don't be lame. If you want to do it up to the nines though, and you're local to Bradenton, FL, DEFINITELY give Ms. Scarlett's a try. She will bowl your lady over. But I am sure she can accomodate a less than nines budget if the economy is kicking your ass like so many out there. read more

Through a series of mishaps, I had to call 4 times to assure the order was cancelled. My intention was to spare them having to spend any time and money placing the order. In the end, I was charged a $5 processing fee. One of those situations where good intentions and repeated efforts were not appreciated. While I think they may be a florist that gives beautiful arrangements, their business practice leaves much to be desired. read more

I called this florist after getting a ripoff treatment by Wesley Berry Flowers, which I thought was local until I realized they are an Internet-based company. (Wesley Berry tripled the cost of my original product selection with junk fees, unexpected add-ons, etc., so I canceled that order and came to Yelp. Glad I did. Ms. Scarlett's was exactly as their high rating suggested. They were personal, friendly, and they gave me FAR more for my money than the national service. Most importantly, there were no surprises on the bill. Then my elderly mother called me to rave about the flowers. She's something of an expert on flowers, and named many of them over the phone. She went on and on about how beautiful and full the arrangement was, how fresh and nicely arranged the flowers were. So, thanks, Ms. Scarlett! I ordered them on the Thursday before Mother's Day and chose an arrangement featured on their web site. Service was friendly and efficient on the phone and the customer service person assured me the arrangement I chose was popular and beautiful, adding to my confidence. The flowers were delivered on time, with an email confirmation of delivery to me. My mother absolutely loved the arrangement and said she will send a photo. My mother is a "flower person" so I know her comments are genuine and I have not gotten that response from her in the past when using other Sarasota area florists, who by the way did not always offer such friendly and reassuring service.
