I worked with Ms. Scarlett's for my brother's wedding. We scheduled a consult and were really impressed by the attention to detail in the estimate we were given. We felt like we knew exactly what we were getting for our money. I wish I knew the gentleman's name who did our consult because he was wonderful. He named the flowers in the pictures we showed him, he talked about how many he would use of each type in the arrangements, what we could substitute for the more expensive flowers, etc. I would highly recommend them, we couldn't have been happier with how the flowers turned out. I am so happy with Ms. Scarlett's Flowers and Gifts and Ryan who took my order. I ordered a bouquet of hot pink roses the day before my wedding and they had it ready by 9 am on the day of my wedding. The bouquet was beautiful and affordable, unlike other places that I had called whose prices were ridiculous. Always feel nervous about sending flowers - even more long when it's a long distance thing, but Ms. Scarlett's did a wonderful job! I'm writing a review about a very poor product and subsequent service I experienced with Ms. Scarlett's flowers. A friend sent me a bouquet of my favorite flowers, sunflowers. There were approximately 10 medium to small sunflowers nestled into a vase with a large amount of greenery . I later learned the cost including delivery was $89. On the second day, over half the flowers started to wilt. The directions stated to add water daily and packets of flower refresher had not been included. Within another day the bouquet was completely wilted. I had company and left the flowers in the vase out of sight until my guests left. I then dismantled the bouquet and discovered all but 3 of the sunflowers had metal wiring secured through the base of the flower and had been wrapped with a green tape to hide and hold the wire in place which kept the flowers from drooping. I took pictures and a few days later called the flower shop and shared the pictures. I was told they had a 7 day policy (which of course I was unaware of) and given excuses which included the "fact" that sunflowers have a high bacteria count and don't last very long. There was no apology, nor was I asked what would make things better, only excuses. I reluctantly shared this unpleasant experience with my friend who said he will never use their service again. Both he and I prefer to use local businesses , but when they refuse to standby their product, they will not get any repeat business from us. I always check with Yelp as I prefer real customer reviews, both good and bad. I'm sorry this has to be an unfavorable one. read more

Bought flowers to be delivered same day to a friend for a loss in her family. They are absolutely beautiful flowers, look exactly like the picture on their website and have lasted a week. Same day delivery (even came back a second time because the people weren't home the first time). I'm from NH and needed two different flower arrangements for sisters in the Bradenton area. After reading reviews it was obvious this was the business that I wanted to support for my floral gifts. The person answering the phone was extremely helpful and listened to what my ideas were for each arrangement. I explained that both arrangements would be going to one address and they made sure they had all the correct information to complete the transaction. When my sisters received them they were very appreciative of the gift but said the flowers were gorgeous, made with such fresh flowers, and put together in a more unique/attractive way. It made me feel great that this could mean so much since I'm so far away. It's not easy finding a great florist when you are depending on the honest written word. Coming from out of town, I wanted to find a local florist and this outfit popped up. I ordered an arrangement after seeing a cute pic on line and when I arrived at the funeral venue, I was appalled by what was delivered. It was tacky, falling apart and had no card. I called the florist and spoke with some rude dude who demanded I remit pics. I'm thinking well I ordered from you and you delivered so...I sent pics and was then contacted by a rude lady who wanted me, the out of town guest, to pick up the arrangement and bring to them. Wait, what??? This was a funeral service and I'm not leaving with anything. She offered 10% refund which was completely unacceptable in my estimates. I've now waited months and she still hasn't even accomplished that so I'll have to dispute the charge. Lastly, this shop actually framed out the order. Wow - I am impressed! I was limited on time and scrambling to let someone special know how much I loved them, and was thinking of them. DO NOT FREQUENT THIS SHOP! One of the plants they delivered for my father s funeral were infested with a bug that ate all the leaves, the other was rootbound in a cheap plastic container and obviously dying if not dead already. They refused to replace either plant, saying it was my fault, and I returned them less than 4 days after the funeral. With regard to the 2nd plant, which was part of a much larger basket, he said we only used that as filler, the plant s not worth anything. It was a hibiscus plant!! I m sure my friends who sent them never knew, and I won t tell them because I don t want to hurt their feelings. But I was treated rudely by the owner while I was mourning my father and will never recommend this shop again nor patronize it personally. read more

Our children had an arrangement delivered to us for our 65th anniversary with a Yankee Candle. The candle was great, but the arrangement was totally, in one word, awful....Very disappointing.
