Finally getting around to posting this review. This place is my go-to place for nails and they never do a bad job. I came back in May for acrylics after being in France for 6 months. I brought my boyfriend along to keep me company and Kenneth was the absolute best- cracking jokes with us the whole time, being very considerate, and making my boyfriend feel welcome- even having my boyfriend lotion my hands to feel included in the experience lol! I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years and will not go anywhere else. Steven and his team (Sophia is technician) have always listened to my concerns about the way my feet are handled during a pedicure (I have MS and my feet are in constant pain). They are taking proper COVID precautions and today, I was able to be the first one to try out their new pedicure station. And oh my, was it a lovely experience. Please do not let these negative reviews sway you. There is complete new managment over the last year and their service is TOP TIER. Kenneth the owner-manager is very kind and personal and made me feel extremely welcomed the second I walked in. I usually have terrible experiences with every salon I go to but this place was phenomenal. I live down the street so I'm glad to see there is new managment. The atmosphere is great. Cynthia did my pedicure and took her time on me and didn't rush. They came out great and she relieved my stress. Prices are extremely reasonable. I've been going to Ms. Z for about 4 years. I've taken friends there, had bachelorette parties there, gone there myself. It used to be a really nice experience. Unfortunately, it's really gone downhill. Pedicures are fine, but the powder dip application is sloppy and legit painful with careless use of the file drill. The tech nicked my cuticles numerous times, causing stinging and bleeding. She got nail polish all over my fingertips and rather than taking the time with acetone she just clipped it off of my skin. This is not the first time this has happened, and for this mani I actually asked her not to use it. She said 'just a little' yet it was enough to cause bleeding and pain. She was very unhappy with the tip I left ($5 on $68) which I understand, but I had asked her a number of times to be more gentle and she just rushed through the whole thing. I'm finding a new place. I go here all the time and the one women I always get is so good i love her she does my nails beautifully but the last 2 times I got the one man that works here and he did a horrible job both times. The first time it was very busy in the store and I ended up with him to do the chrome design that I wanted on my nails he rushed and the chrome was all over the sides of my fingers. The second time was about a week ago I got a French tip and 2 have already fallen off and the ones that haven't look just terrible and like they're about to fall off. I use the word attempted because I had to stop the nail tech in the middle! This girl cut all my nails different lengths and some all the way down to the skin! After being very clear that I wanted to keep my name nail shape just a little shorter, I now have round, square, and triangle shape nails!! No apology was offered and I still paid for the take "off" of the no chip... which I can still see bits and pieces remaining on my nail. I had given a generous tip to the nail tech subsequent to paying and the lady (who I have no idea her name) had the nastiest look on her face and DID NOT even say thank you, goodbye, have a nice day or anything of that nature. She simply did not utter a word and was looking down the entire time. Do not go here if you want to be treated like you don't even exist. I heard about Ms Z Nails from my Mom and the first few times we went there it was so/so but overall good. A young man named Steven did my no chip and he did such a phenomenal job not only on my nails but on my toes as well. His attention to detail and precision is outstanding. He told me to try the dip on my nails instead of the no chip and insisted the no chip was weakening my nails. I followed his advice and my nails lasted over a month! There were no chips and prestige condition. He is my go to guy and I will never go to anyone else!! I now recommend Ms Z Nails to all my friends and tell them to specifically ask for Steven!! She doesn't know how to fix a simple broken nail and when I asked her to be careful with my nail since it was broken she proceeded to be an animal and aggressively file off my no chip after I told her multiple times to be gentle. I stopped her after she continued to break my nail even more then it already was. I have no idea how she's even employed when it's clear she has no idea how to do nails. I have been here twice so far and I couldn't be happier. I got an acrylic set just before a vacation and had them filled as soon as I got back. Both times my nails were exactly what I wanted, and I even got a broken nail fixed without any hassle. I feel bad that I always end up staying a little after when they close since I don't get off work early, but they always make me feel welcome and don't rush me out. Have been here a few times (right when it first opened and more recently over Labor Day)! Always super impressed. I came here with my mom to relax for a gel mani and pedicure. Was super impressed with their color selection (lots of opi gel options). They were busy but we didn't have to wait more than 10ish minutes to get seated. They took their time and both my pedicure and gel mani lasted over 3 weeks... would have lasted longer but I've got an event this weekend and wanted to freshen them both up. He did an amazing job which it is say he took his time and even clipped my cuticles.
