They sent out a letter congratulating themselves about how they handled it and tossed me a link to a credit monitoring bureau. They do not deserve your trust. Their medical staff is excellent but their management appears to be inept. read more

My physician submitted an emergency referral for an MRI due to a knee injury and needed the imaging completed quickly so my treatment could move forward. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment, the scan was canceled over a bracelet that required a small screwdriver to remove. I explained that staff had assisted me with removing the same bracelet during previous visits and asked if there was a way to remove it or temporarily cover it, but no alternative solution was offered. Because the MRI was canceled, I missed my follow-up appointment with my doctor and my care was delayed. Shortly afterward, I received voicemails from management stating that incident reports had been written and that my next appointment was being canceled. When I finally spoke with management, I was told I would no longer be allowed to return for imaging services before I had the opportunity to fully explain what had happened. The situation was stressful and frustrating, especially given the urgency of the referral. I have since had my MRI referral transferred to another imaging facility. Patients with urgent imaging referrals should be aware that scheduling issues or unexpected cancellations could impact follow-up care. read more

Receptionist said I could get a CT done at the 4545 Cordata pky, you can't and I went there for nothing. Huge waste of time,big hassle.

In Dec. I received a statement from a collection agency in Bellevue, doubtless the same one referred to in other reviews. It informed me that I owed nearly $800 on a CT Scan with Contrast I received in February of last year. This was the first inkling I had in the intervening 10 months that there was a problem. When I called MBI to inquire about it, they pointedly refused to talk to me because the matter had been referred to collections. When I called the collection agency I asked for any detail -- about 2 months later I received from them a 9-page report listing all the procedures I've ever received at MBI covering 7 since years since I moved here in 2018. In other words: "We can't be bothered to answer your question, so here's a mountain of data. Have fun trying to figure it out by yourself!" I actually have received the same identical procedure from MBI three times in the 12 months between Aug. 2023 and Aug 2024 -- every 6 months. The procedure I'm being dunned over was the second. I've reviewed the Evidence of Benefits I received from my insurer for all three, and it appears that each was handled in the same way, with the same amount paid each time. When I talked to them and their claims processor, the phrase 'balance billing' -- where a provider attempts to collect from the patient what they can't from his insurance -- a practice which is, in their words, "highly illegal" in every state in the Union. It is worth noting that this when I had this procedure in August 2024, NO MENTION was made of this dispute stemming when I had the same procedure 6 months earlier. Nor was there any attempt to collect what was by then a 6-month old debt. And yet, 4 months later, they wrote off the dispute amount and sicced a collection agency on me. Also, there was apparently no controversy or dispute over the first occasion in Aug. 2023. The bills I receive are virtually indecipherable -- I pay what they say is owed at the bottom, but I can't really figure out how the total is calculated. Not myself, but my partner. He had a service completed a year ago. Mt Baker Imaging's billing department is full of complete fucking morons. Either that, or MBI is intentionally trying to screw people over. 1) He's been getting bills all year, with the WRONG insurance company listed on them. Despite the fact that he called and made sure they had his correct insurance. 2) Approx. 7 months ago, he called his insurance company, confirmed that they covered the service, and the insurance guy called MBI himself as well! And yet STILL his insurance has not been billed for the service a year later, and WE are getting bills. Even bills that have already been paid!!! Avoid MBI at all costs. Wife and I both had appointments but four hours apart--my wife early morning and me at noon. We were trying to figure out what to do for 4 hours since I couldn't eat and she didn't have breakfast. After my wife returned to the car, transmission in reverse, I received a phone call they can take me now due to a cancellation. GREAT timing. Checked in and scan performed. Now we are eating breakfast. No complaints here. read more

Had an MRI done a month ago and still can't get the report from them. Was told initially 3 days, then 2 weeks. Now it's been a month and no one is able to help me. Save yourself some trouble and go to Bellingham Advanced Imaging instead. read more

As many others have written, the actual procedure went fine but the billing department is a nightmare. I have always paid ALL my medical bills once they make their way through the insurance process and yet MBI managed to completely screw me over by sending an invoice that I have NEVER seen to collections. I have never had such an experience in my life and will do my best never to deal with MBI ever again. read more

DO NOT GO HERE AS A COLLEGE STUDENT I was recommended to get X-rays here but the WWU clinic. Procedure was fine however, no one in the front understands how billing works or how it will work with your insurance. The bill will be a surprise that no one is able to inform you on ahead of time. They are not in network for most insurance companies so you will likely be stuck with the full bill. Unless you are able to handle large fees, don't go here. Like most college students we don't have much money so getting a surprise bill really hurts. read more

Mt Baker Imaging was able to get me in quickly for a CT scan before seeing my surgeon. Smooth, professional check in at the front desk. Just a couple of minutes wait until Jessica and Heather did my scan, and I was done in less than 10 minutes. Clean, bright office space and waiting area, with ample distancing and seating. I observed excellent adherence to CoVid cleaning and distancing, and everyone was masked, which really calmed me, as I was a little apprehensive coming in. Overall, a great experience ! read more

The procedure itself was fine. But like so many others the billing was ridiculous! I got my first bill for the entire amount. It a bill for thousands of dollars. The billed my insurance incorrectly and when insurance denied it, they just sent me the bill. I got one corrected bill then sent to a collections company in Bellevue Wa. The creditor even said "that seems to happen." I've literally NEVER had anything sent to collections in my life. I will go out of my way to refuse using Mt Baker Imaging, and I will be making a complaint with my insurance company. read more

Located across from the hospital this location has its own parking lot the building has stairs or an elevator. The signs are pretty clear what is located where making it easy to find. Reception were all smiling and had friendly greetings when you walk in. Efficient check in process, clean building and friendly people are part of what make this place top notch. read more

Like a number of people below the billing department is a joke. The first I heard of an outstanding balance was after receiving a notification that the bill had been sent to collections. If your going to send someone to collections perhaps use certified mail or some other method that assures the person actually received a bill. In addition, there billing is such that bills are getting paid for other members of my family while the one that is past due is never getting addressed so it can be taken care of. read more

I recently had 2 MRI scans, one with an arthrogram injection. I was called by the office to schedule each MRI, with pre-authorization already taken care of! All of the staff members I interacted with were kind, courteous, and knowledgable. Wait times for scheduling were totally reasonable, as was wait time in the actual office. Finally, I received my bill fairly quickly without any billing issues/errors. If I need imaging in the future, I will not hesitate to go to Mt. Baker Imaging. read more

I went here for a heart CT Scan with iodine contrast a few days ago. I had had a couple of CT Scans last year, once with iodine and once with something I had to drink. Both times I got a significant reaction from where the IV went into my arm. The vein got inflamed and hard. So when I went in this time I was kind of anxious. Natalie, who took me in and got me prepped, was awesome. Turned out I had to chill for about an hour so my heart rate would go back down to normal. Natalie talked me through the entire scan process, every step of the way (which I really appreciated). She was my cheerleader and my caretaker. She was so amazing. Then, in a blink, it was all finished, and I hadn't felt the IV at all. And no sensitivity and no inflammation. Four days later and not even a mark on my arm. I am so grateful for the care and attention they gave me. read more

I went with my grandma so she could get a CT scan and the reminder call person told her the wrong time. Once we got here "2 hours late" according to them we luckily got put back on the list. So she got checked in and signed all the papers then we sat down and waited for her name to be called. Almost an hour later my grandma asks what this sign says. It said to go to the front desk if you've been waiting for more than 30 minutes. So I go and tell them we've been waiting about an hour. Turns out she wasn't even checked in. The people are nice but they should really pay more attention to detail. Also the parking lot lines should really be repainted, you can barely see where to park. read more

I needed an MRI recently and asked two friends, who happen to be doc in the community, where to go. Both recommended Mt. Baker Imaging. The radiologists at MBI are local, known to the docs in town, can be easily called with questions, the pictures are in the electronic medical records of the community so my doctor could look them up easily in their office (and can see what else I've had done), and their equipment is state-of-the-art. The staff was friendly and professional. They called my insurance before I even went in to make sure it was covered and my bill was exactly what I had been told. Even though they had my phone # they just automatically forwarded my bills to a bill collector agency in Bellevue WA.
