We stayed in a cabin for the weekend and it was so fun! The pool and grounds were clean and safe. The cabin was perfect and it was nice to just walk over to the lodge to eat. There isn't a microwave or fridge so pack a cooler if you want snacks. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We played ping pong and watched a band on Sunday. Swam in the big pool. Cannot wait to come back!!

The only restaurant here so not too many choices to go from. We stopped on our way down after hiking and it was a great way to relax and unwind after. Food is basic bar type food and their prices include tax already. We sat out back on their patio which was very quaint. Service/food was decent. Nothing fancy but very fresh. Inside has nice fireplace as well for when you visit and it's cold. SYOY!

I am pretty sad that I must have come at a wrong day and time. Last time I was here, it was about 24 years ago and I've been talking about how great the burgers are. I was excited to show my 21yo daughter this amazing place. Unfortunately on Oct 10,2025 around 11:50am, my burger was not the best. It was not bubbling hot and juicy as I had remembered it. The burger was warm, the bread was cold, but still had a good taste. The fries and chili fries were really good though. I ended up visiting an old friend who lives down the hill and I told them about my experience. They were really surprised because they were just at the Mt Baldy Lodge a few weeks before I drove out. The ambiance is exactly how I remembered it and the service was incredible. I didn't hate my meal, I ate it. I know it was a fluke (it happens) and hopefully I can come back sooner than 24 years to revisit this place that brought so many memories when I was younger.

300 pm, Sunday, September 14, 2025 First time visiting here. But my friend has been here and was interested in hearing the live music. Parking: uh interesting... We squeezed into a street parking space but there were spaces to be had. Knowing the area is helpful. TIP: place to go order to eat your food poolside as there is no waitress service out there. Beware of bees swarming poolside. Signs were posted. It was a just warm enough day to swim. But the pool was not heated. Swimmer beware! Haha. We were the crazy adults swimming in the chilly pool. I'd been in colder as a competitive swimmer, so be careful. Swim with a buddy. The food was really good. I had a Cobb salad and enjoyed the delicious greens, hard boiled egg, crumbled bacon, and dressing. Eating poolside with a live band playing classic rock was great. I enjoyed it a lot.

Wow! This place is a gem that has been frozen in time. Fire place going, families gathering and food that makes you feel warm and cozy. The ladies working were darling and I can't wait to come back. I got the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend got the chicken fried steak it hit the spot. Apparently only on Sundays the owner wakes up at 4am to make some INSANE cinnamon rolls!

Family Sunday drive up the mountain to Mount Baldy. Clean air and a great view. We stopped off at the Mount Baldy Lodge restaurant. It was nice and toasty. They had the fireplace going. The food looked amazing. We had dessert. The pies were yummy. The waitress was absolutely wonderful. People are friendly and appear to be really happy. Just a note. There's a lot of traffic coming down from the mountain parking can be tricky so keep your eyes peeled. We got there around 3 PM, but I think we're gonna come back and have their brunch which looks absolutely amazing. I believe it's only on Saturday and Sunday. The raspberry pie was delicious and you can't go wrong with Dutch apple pie. They warmed it up for us and we had it with the side of vanilla ice cream. The hot cocoa was yummy. Unfortunately, they were all sold out of the potato skins. That's one of the many appetizers that they offer. Next time we'll go with more of an appetite. We'll go back and do the brunch and I'll revisit this review but as of now it's a great place to go with friends or family or even to take a drive sit down and have some cuppa coffee and people watch.

Cozy restaurant that was perfect for recharging after a long hike on Mt. Baldy. Was not expecting good food quality but was pleasantly impressed. Their clam chowder was delicious. Would go back it we ever hike there again

On a visit to our grandson at Pitzer College, we treated him and 2 classmates to a delightful ride into the mountains to experience Mt Baldy Lodge. It was a wonderful visit, and the Lodge itself is a reminder of the 1950's with relatively inexpensive meals and the ambience of a rustic bar and restaurant. Moose heads, a bison, and wood surrounded us, and a fire was going in the fireplace. Our server, Alisha, was attentive and helpful throughout. We had burgers, nachos, salmon, and soft drinks. After dinner, some of the party played pool (2 tables are available). The food was decent - not to rave about, except that the fries were exceptionally crisp and hot as could be. The chili was also a hit. We spent about $30/person and were quite happy.

    Tacos and potato chips

Went here for taco Tuesday specials. Very easy drive from the San Gabriel valley and a wonderful restaurant. Menu is decent and I enjoyed the local beer. Tacos were ginormous and very filling! Loved the warm homemade potato chips served with the tacos. As a long time visitor to June Lake, this restaurant reminded me of the Carson Peak Inn. Will be back.

These cabins are so cute. It's one of my favorite places to stay. I wish we could stay more often but they don't allow dogs. I did find a bag of dog poo on my porch and the chair sort of smelled like pee, but being a dog person, I didn't completely mind. I just wish they allowed dogs. I hear they sometimes have live music and there is one cabin next to the restaurant's busy back patio, so make sure to get the cabin that has the distance you want. The resturant in the lodge is the only place to get food and there is no microwave or fridge but there is a small coffee maker. The bed is super comfy and the tv has a million channels.

    Cheers

We each walked up to the counter and placed our orders. While waiting, we enjoyed the cozy interior and a live band on the patio. A very satisfying sandwich. Other sandwiches enjoyed included the Meatball, Pastrami Reuben, and Wrightwood Philly. The pretzels were fantastic, hot and soft, and came with a tasty cheese dip. The beers on tap were terrific. I had the Seasalt & Lime Lager, which was cold and refreshing. I got to try Hazy IPA, which was good, and if you like sours, the Plum Sour is worth a try. They also have hard seltzer and non-alcoholic beverages in the cold fridge next to the cashier. The staff was kind, and the service was excellent. Their website specifically says they offer reservations for parties of 10 or more, based on availability. I called about 30 to 45 minutes before arriving and asked if they could accommodate our group. The gentleman I spoke with told me yes, to come in and check in when we arrived, and that he would start getting a table ready for us. When we got there, apparently nothing had been communicated to the hostess. What made it worse was that the same guy then denied ever telling me on the phone that he would get a table ready. If they couldn't accommodate us, that would have been completely fine. Just tell me that when I call and we'll go somewhere else. Instead, we loaded up six kids, drove over based on what we were told, and then were basically turned away. We asked for the manager hoping they could at least help figure something out, but unfortunately the manager wasn't helpful either and offered no real resolution. Mistakes and miscommunications happen. What bothered me was denying what was said instead of simply owning the mistake and trying to make it right. We would have happily gone somewhere else from the beginning had they just been upfront with us. Very poor communication and customer service.

The corn chowder was honestly one of the best soups I've had in my life, it was comforting and filling yet still light, with plenty of veggies (corn, potatoes) throughout- I think it was meant to include celery but maybe they ran out today? But I'm happy mine didn't come with celery haha! The waitress recommended the Oak Glen brand as it was the most popular, and gave us options between the seasonal, the "lighter flavor", and strawberry- we were very happy with the strawberry flavor!! The staff were friendly and so cute staying in character. They greeted & seated us as soon as we stepped in. Life happened, years passed, and somehow I never made it back. Fast forward to today: I was driving my Tesla, jokingly asked Grok to take me somewhere for a beer, and it pointed me right back here. Walking in felt like revisiting a place that had been quietly waiting in the background of my story. The centerpiece is still the incredible bar. Shelves stacked floor to ceiling with whiskey bottles, glowing green tile behind the taps, warm lighting, and enough character that you can spend half your time simply looking around. It's the kind of room that feels both energetic and comfortable at the same time. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched a soccer match on the TVs, and ordered an Old Fashioned. It arrived exactly the way I hoped it would: large clear ice cube, generous orange peel, balanced and smooth without trying too hard. Just a well-made classic cocktail. What stood out most was the atmosphere. These days I'm much more likely to be exploring hiking trails, photographing wildflowers, or driving mountain roads than spending time in bars. Twelve years ago, places like this were a much more regular part of my life. Coming back reminded me why I enjoyed them in the first place. Good conversation, a comfortable seat, a quality drink, and no rush to be anywhere else. The beer taps looked extensive, the whiskey selection seemed endless, and the entire place struck a balance between neighborhood pub and whiskey destination. Funny how a random AI navigation suggestion brought me back to a place I'd been meaning to revisit for over a decade. Glad it finally did. 5 stars.
