I found Gianni Electric on Yelp, requested a quote on the app over the weekend, they replied quickly with a few extra questions and took down my contact info. They got Alec out the next day for a quote, and he came back the following day for the install. We probably could have gotten the work done a bit cheaper if we went with some self-taught handyman off of thumbtack, and I could have done the work myself (though it would have taken me a lot longer and probably would have made a mess in the process); but plumbing and electrical are two things that are worth paying a professional who has a license and insurance for. The price was reasonable and pretty much spot on what we had guessed it would cost us before reaching out. The whole process was pretty painless, and we'll definitely use them again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends.

This electrical job required a complete service panel upgrade and the installation of a backup generator. I met with several electricians before I chose to go with Dan from Tier 1. Dan's pricing made the most sense, but most importantly we spoke the same language when it comes to quality work. My old service panel was a rats nest of wires with double tapped breakers and neutrals. I regret I didn't take a before photo but you can see the quality of Dan's work in the photo's attached. His work shows straight runs with 90 degree angles, labeled wires and even the load shed modules mounted in the crawl space are all organized making any future diagnostics much easier. The service feed to the generator is almost 80 feet all of which is straight and tucked up tight on the crawl space ceiling. As the project progressed Dan identified that the meter box had suffered extensive corrosion and recommended replacement rather than suffer a future service call. Just as importantly, Dan did an exceptional job keeping me apprised of schedule updates and completing everything on time. He routinely responded to emails and texts in a timely manner and answered any question I had as the job progressed. If you're looking for an electrician with fair pricing and who performs high quality work completed on schedule, this is your guy.
