I never saw the car I was interested in. A ploy I assume to get me snagged into a more expensive vehicle. I negotiated new tires since the ones on it had little tread. He was irritated by this and decided to try and find another vehicle. He said he couldn't find another one and rudely asked me if I would purchase the car if he would add the the tires in the negotiation. I agreed. I was told to give it a week or two and service would call me to make an appointment. 2.5 weeks later I hadn't heard anything so I called the salesman. He said he would look into it and call me back in the morning. I ended up having to call him that afternoon. This time he said he would call me back in 10 minutes. Again no return call. I waited until the following day before I called him again. I ended up having to call his manager. The manager was very helpful in getting the ball rolling. He was apologetic and in a few days I received a call from the salesman with an appointment with the service department and would have a loaner car for me as well. Which was great since I purchased a used car. He told me to pick up the keys to the loaner from him. He was nowhere to be found when I got there and nobody else knew what was going on. After about a half an hour another salesman showed up with the keys. When I went to pick up my car he again was nowhere to be found. It was another goose chase and another half an hour before I got my car. Now for the dealership review: the manager was great in resolving the problem. Because of the manager I would buy another car from them however as I said in the beginning I would not deal with that salesman.

Local Business Review -- D & S Auto Service - hamersville, Ohio…read moreToday I found myself with a hole in the sidewall of my tire I needed to get a used tire until I could get the new ones, I live 3 minutes from D&S so I call ask for a used 225/60/17... he says he has one a little smaller 225/50/17... Go up he puts it on, I get 5 miles down the road and the tire comes completely off the rim, I call D & S they say someones on the way. My husband shows up at D & S they tell him someone is on the way, my husband arrives on the scene and still NO D &S we call numerous times no answer. They finally answer proceeding to tell me my rim was junk and would not take a bead to get the tire, yet 30minutes ago when I left the shop and paid was told I was good to go. YES I knew the tire was smaller BUT it would work for now, I was NOT ONE time told by anyone there my wheel was junk as they said, and I would expect any decent auto service to be honest tell your customer, your wheel is junk I can't put a tire on it, not send me and my KIDS on the way. Anyway they finally arrive put a tire on, follow them back, they continue to blame me, put my tire WITH A HOLE in the sidewall back on my vehicle, refund my money, cussing me and says they are DONE! Bottom line is I found out just what kind of people OWN D&S auto and many other businesses in Hamersville ( yes they were the owners) and it's important to share this , I awlays try to shop local. DO NOT do business with these people. Money isn't everything, true colors were displayed today. Thanks for the "help" as you called it. Running a business requires good ethic and honesty and you severely lack that, if I ever treated customers as they did, it would certainly reflect in my sales. Please share, your families safety could depend on it!
