My friend and I decided to stop by at this batting cage for a quick source of stress relief and…read morefun. The facility itself was pretty small and it was completely empty but wasn't able to use the automatic feeding cage since it had reservations, which was fine. Since the manual feeding cage was our only option, we decided on that option for 30 mins. The manual feeding option was $30 for 30 minutes which I thought was a little expensive but this place had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. So, the guy helped us to set up the projectile machine and showed us how to feed the softballs manually. For the first 3 minutes, everything seemed fine until almost 70% of the softballs were projected straight to the floor. As a result, the softballs ran out pretty quickly and had to spend time picking them up again pretty often. Since it was projecting to the floor too much, we asked the guy if he can readjust the projection angle. He ended up increasing the speed and adjusting the angle a bit more upward. As I was feeding the softballs manually for my friend, I noticed that the projectile feeder machine motor could not stand the speed changes and started to rattle and move side to side causing inconsistent throws which lowkey turned into a dodgeball session and also caused my friend getting hit. Overall, poor maintenance of equipments and poor handling of the situation from the staff. If you decide to come here, I do not recommend the manual feeding option.

We rented a cage not lessons but it's our first ever season in softball so we were kinda clueless haha he was so friendly and patient, he brought us a T that I didn't know we even had an option for and showed her the correct form and a few more pointers that really took her to the next level! She left feeling so great about herself! We are definitely coming back and are so grateful for Will!

She trains with her personal coach as well as a group, and we're there almost every Friday. The facility offers 10 small futsal fields, perfect for focused, high-energy training. The staff is always friendly and eager to help, which makes for a welcoming environment. The snack bar is a nice bonus, offering hot dogs, pizza, and a variety of other snacks and drinks, including a few beers on tap for parents looking to relax while the kids train. Parking is generally decent, though it can fill up quickly when little league baseball is in season. Overall, SoFive Covina is a great spot for training and enjoying some downtime while your kids sharpen their skills on the field.

It's conveniently located in a local small…read moreshopping area, and I have to say, the convenience is fantastic. it's open from 5 a.m., which is super helpful for early morning workouts. There are plenty of parking spaces available, so you don't have to stress about finding a spot. The gym is relatively cleaner than others in the area, though it still has a long way to go: some areas are still in need of a better deep clean. The equipment is a mix: some of the machines are brand new, while others are older, but I'm really happy they recently opened a new section with fresh equipment. Plus, they have big plans: soon they'll be updating the floors and adding a VIP area with massage chairs! I'm really excited to see how that all turns out. On the downside, I do wish they would improve some other areas for example the steam room always has a bad odor, and the restrooms need more attention. But overall, I'm optimistic about the upgrades coming soon!

Machines are often sweaty, trash cans get full, and the locker rooms and bathrooms don't look like they're being cleaned regularly. A lot of members wipe down equipment themselves, but the facility still needs consistent cleaning from the staff. For a gym that has this many members coming through every day, basic cleanliness should be a priority. I like the location and the equipment, but management really needs to do a better job maintaining this gym. Right now it just doesn't feel clean the way a gym should.

This is going to be a personal and detailed review, so I'm going to start with my physical and…read moremental condition before training with Dan, and ending with where I am currently. I was raised in a traditional Chinese family, where the parents focused strictly on studying, piano, tutoring, and no video games. I was definitely pretty good at all, but I was not enjoying anything that my parents made me do. I wouldn't say that I grew up miserable, but I was definitely confused and didn't know what the point of "ME" was since I was forced to do what my parents wanted me to do. In high school, I participated in lots of clubs, got really high GPA, and student body president, blah, blah, blah and I ended up in a top 20 university. Here's where the story gets interesting. After I left home and started living by myself, I tried lots of things in college. Drugs, alcohol, partying, just everything a young college student would do. But the worst of all, was I blew up. I gained 80 pounds in my college life. My physical condition was in horrible shape, and it had a dramatic effect on my mental condition. I was depressed. I came home after college trying to start or pick up my life before I left for college. But I was just in bad shape. Then I met Dan during my junior year coming home from college once, and we trained on and off. But it wasn't until after I came home after graduation did we start training consistently and effects where shown. What Dan differs in training is that he really helps you with your mental state. He listens to you each day and focuses on you each training session so you don't have doubts. Fast forward 1 year, now it's 2018. I've lost 80 pounds. How I did it, I'm not gonna go into details, because that's my journey and I don't want to spoil it for you if you train with Dan ;) But if you have lost hope and stopped believing about weight lose, just give Dan a try. Trust me. It will be worth it:)

However, after meeting Dan, I knew that I was going to gain so much more than just a toned body. Dan not only trained me so that it was ideal for MY body, but he also taught me very valuable tools that I can use during my everyday life. For example, I learned that working out is so much more than just having "a butt and abs"; it has so much more to do with your mindset and attitude. Through Dan, I've learned to have a calmer peace of mind and to actually get excited to work out, as well as eating healthier. Now, I'm about to start my second year of college and I can still say that after training with Dan for two summers, I still learn something knew about myself every time I work out!
