Since my last review, no real improvements to the Gym. compared to other LA Fitness this place is a joke. Same machines are always broken. Takes forever for the mechanic to fix them. The free weights are all over the place never organized, and some of the weights are hidden inside the trainers room preventing you from getting a workout or costing you time looking for them. It is very disappointing that Management does not put a priority to this. They're always at the front desk, not doing anything but trying to look busy on their computer, what would it cost for a few of the employees to just to walk the gym and actually do some cleanup or re-organize the the weights. there are the wet naps everywhere and especially on the cardio Machines stuck in the cupholders totally disgusting when I'm trying to put my actual cup inside the cupholder it is stuffed with those wet napkins. Some of the cable machines are still locked where you can't interchange some of the cables. I only visit this location due to the proximity to my house, I would rather go to the other LA Fitness locations. read more

I've had a great experience at LA Fitness. The facility is clean, the equipment is well maintained, and there's a wide variety of machines and free weights, so I rarely have to wait. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help with any questions. I also enjoy the group fitness classes--they're fun, motivating, and led by knowledgeable instructors. Worst L.A.Fitness in California.... Nothing but 80-90 year olds coming in for a spa day. Never enough hand towels as the clientele take 15-20 pieces at a time. Hocking loogies in the sinks and toilets. Shaving, and grooming themselves! In the weightlifting room the elderly people fall asleep on the equipment. There is absolutely no dress code!!!! The kids come in wearing crocs, and pajamas! The old people are in street clothes and flip flops. Management couldn't care less about what goes on. People sit on equipment for extreme lengths of time. And the parking is "RIDICULOUS"!!!! There is "NEVER" any parking spots available. Everyone I run into at other L.A. Fitnesses talk about how horrible this gym is. The only good thing about this gym is the guy who runs the juice shop. read more

This place looks nice from outside. There is parking outside around the facility. They have a pool with a co-ed sauna next to it. The main floor looks modern and there are plenty of cardio machines. They only have 3-4 steppers and stair masters. The main floor has the same amount of weight machines as my main gym. I was impressed was the multiple ceiling fans. The steam room is in the locker rooms. It's extremely loud when it's activated. There must not be a family room because the moms bring in their kids to the locker room with full view of us undressing. It was nerve recking when I had to change because I had to listen for the kids' voice. The bathroom is super outdated and unkempt. The floor was filled with napkins in the vanity area and it was the same condition after my one hour workout. Overall, I got a good workout but the locker room made me uncomfortable with the kids passing through and the unkemptness. I'm just glad that I'm just passing through and this isn't my main gym. read more

I would give a zero if it was possible... I hate that this is the closest LA fitness to me. The dumbbells are never racked where they're supposed to be, if they're even there. People working out take 3 and 4 sets at one time and just have them sitting next to the bench not even using them, while they are on the phone. I saw one guy jumping up onto two stacked dumbbells just waiting to topple over and bust his head. And there's been a few times seeing people not use a towel to wipe off the bench and just leaving a pool of sweat on the bench. A few women come in with 2 and 3 bags leaving them next to the benches and then change and do whatever, like there's no locker room. People sit in the parking lot in the front, in the Red zone just waiting for a front row parking spots or park clearly where it says no parking. Just seems no one cares here. read more

If I could give this place a 0 I would. It is the most disgusting gym I've been to. I've been going here for about a year and every time I go I hate it even more. People here do not care for hygiene. Planet fitness is better and they don't even have janitors!!! 1) People will go straight from the pool/ hot tub SOAKING WET into the Sauna. WET. I've been splashed on by an older man before. GROSS. It smells like wet butt cheeks in there. 2) There's an old man who goes in the sauna everyday and will rinse out his sweat onto the wooden bench. If you use the sauna just know you're sitting on old sweat from this man. The sauna reeks of wet towel, sweat, dog, and mildew. Actually you can smell the mildew from the locker room. The whole gym smells like mold!!! 3) There are women in the locker room that will brush their teeth inside the steam room and spit. Why? I don't know. People here love being dirty for some reason. 4) No matter how many times you complain about the wetness in the sauna nothing will be done because none of the Managers here care at all. I slipped once too and they didn't care. I asked for signs to be put and nothing was done. They love a stinky wet gym DO NOT GO HERE IT SMELLS LIKE ASS !!!! read more

I'm have been coming to this gym since opening day and seen many different manages go by... this last three years definitely the worst on keeping up the weights in place . You ask them for the bars and they are always locked in the training room. I have ask several times if the trainers after done will put them back in the common area , but they never do. People are not courteous as well , always breaking the equipment or stealing it. The only person that takes care of the place is Maria de cleaning lady . Since she's here the restroom are clean as smells clean. Managers really don't care about the organization of the weights at all. I have been coming to this LAF since we moved to this area about seven years ago. This gym is on Golden Springs Drive near Lemon Ave. in Diamond Bar. I like that they have many fitness group classes, including my favorite Zumba and bodywork classes. I joined the group classes before the pandemic in 2019. Other fitness types of equipment are maintained well. The restroom is clean but they may need to update some parts. This gym is always packed though. read more

This is an LA Fitness to avoid during peak hours. It gets super busy and there aren't enough machines and benches to accommodate everyone. There is way too much cardio equipment and not enough of anything else. I waited half an hour to bench one time to give you an idea. I personally feel like the dumbbell quantities are sufficient but there are only 7 adjustable benches for them in the weight room. There are two deadlifting platforms and a single smith machine tucked away in the corner. Cable machines are locked so if you bring your own attachments also be sure to bring your own carabiners. read more

This is the worst LAF location I've ever been to, and I go to different locations all over. It's sad because I signed up here in 1999 (I know LAF corporate doesn't care about long term customers but just saying) when they opened and I've seen such a decline in recent years. Now all the patrons are Asian people who don't speak English and when they're not sitting on machines staring at people (not even working out) they're in the locker room taking all the paper towels and hocking loogies all over the floor and clipping their nails and dyeing their hair in the sink. This location is absolutely disgusting and the manager does nothing about it and is unresponsive when you mention your concerns. Anyway after almost 30 years as a member I'm now going to 24 Hour Fitness. It's been real, LAF. read more

Why is that the discipline in La Fitness management doesn't enforce re rack weights after use. LA fitness has the worst free weights all over their racks: LA Habra, Diamond Bar. District Manager should start visiting stores and get graded. Chino Hills started off this way, corrected. One other suggestions for all facilities; rack the heavier weights 60-100 should be on the bottom and lighter should be on the top. This could be the reason members are not re racking weights due to too heavy. read more

This is my home gym and there's no other place I'd rather be at. Club manager Sirui is always checking the gym floor to make sure it's clean and in order. I've been debating switching locations for years now but I stay because of the convenience of it being close to my house, but I'm so over this place not being taken care of. This location is constantly out of toilet paper/paper towels, and when I brought it up to an employee they told me I can go up the street to target and use their restrooms or just use the toilet seat covers. Are you kidding? The bathrooms are dirty half the time and there shouldn't be toilet paper with poop on the floor for multiple hours. My family goes to this gym and has also brought these issues up to management but it still continues. And the stairmasters smell like a sweaty moldy lockerroom read more

i' ve been a menber over 9 yrs. Under my membership, i can bring 2 guests going with me for workout. Today, I bought my 21 yrs old son to the gym , the front desk lady told me i could not leave briefly and that i had to stay inside the gym the whole time. I said I have conference call at this time I have to leave. But she insist to ask stay in gym.It was vidiculous! I asked her to show me any policy regrarding these rule. she can't show me anything. I went to the staff desk, asked the guy to show me policy on the agreement. Under guest privileges it clearly states i can bring guests age 13+ once per day. it didn't say the memer must remain in the gym. only section with such a rule is for " Kid's klub childcare", which obviously does not apply to 21-yrs old adult guest. The front desk lady and office staff were mixing up policies, creates unnecessary frustration for paying member. I asked them to make an exception just this once because I had to attend meeting and needed to leave first, but they insisted on not allowing me to go. it felt completely unreasonable and lacking in compassion! I missed my meeting and ended up wasting time stuck at the gym! read more

Some guy hit me in the face in the pool and I almost blacked out. The guy looked at me and said your big so you can take it. I told the front desk to have manager call me and she never did. I had to follow up multiple times and finally she called. I asked she do something about how chaotic it is and asked her to call me back for a solution. She never did. After reading other reviews, I realized my experience was not unique. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. As others have mentioned, the front desk staff--two young female employees, one wearing glasses were unprofessional, aggressive, and dismissive. When I attempted to use a complimentary guest pass, I was met with laziness, hostility, and unnecessary hassle. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I was unable to use the facility at all. I want to commend Siri, manager of the gym for her dedication, friendly attitude , good communication skills, good customer service. When I canceled my LA Fitness membership a few months ago, it was terrible. I went to the gym to cancel and the person at the front desk told me I can only cancel IN PERSON when the manager was present, which is between 10AM and 2PM Monday - Friday. I finally found out that there is a corporate number. They actually have surprisingly good customer service and if you get mad and say you absolutely cannot cancel in person or mail in the form, they will cancel for you.
