This place does not smell of old smoke and thats great. Everything works. And clean. Draw bakes are. If your larger then 5'5" tall the toilet is super small and low to the ground. The shower water pressure is low and temperature fluctuates. So you will get 5 minutes. The pillows look good. But full of air. All 4 = one pillow. Lol. The room has very old carpets which likely contributed to the stench. Stagnate. Bathroom was tiny! Too small for a shower, toilet & sink. Bed was uncomfortable. My back was killing me every morning. Starting with the positive: cute neighborhood setting, the pool is beautiful and the staff are polite and helpful. Bedding is nice and bed was comfortable. Free morning newspaper at the front desk. Price isn't terrible. There is a free continential breakfast, but we didn't get up in time for it. Now the bad: parking is very tight and when you have to park on the outer loop there are a lot of puddles you wind up stepping in. The central hallways have very old carpet and an extremely musty smell. (While rooms are a combination of older and newer they don't smell thankfully). The showers back up and you get an inch or two of standing water while showering (but they do go very hot and have good pressure). read more

We are platinum members & only stay at Best Western hotels. We had a formal event to attend today. Left the Best Western in Monroe Washington driving to Portland Oregon but couldn't quite make it without using a restroom. We stopped at this best western to use the restroom and we're told by the manager there was no restrooms for us to use. Terribly rude I wouldn't stay at this Best Western if it was free!!! read more

Terrible bed. Clean room very nice Ashley at front desk. Noisy. The breakfast was the typical fare but fresh watermelon made it special. All staff are very sweet. I would not stay here again because of the bed. There is a row of work trucks parked next door and they were rowdy but quiet by 9:30 or 10:00 so no big deal read more

The hotel is old with creaky floors that do sink in at spots. I was on the bottom floor and the hotel was quiet until Kelso had a home with a gas leak in a certain area that caused an evacuation of noisy people to stay at the hotel. The room was always cleaned by housekeeper for whom was tipped for her hard work.I wished they had more and better parking in a less than noisy area.The front desk was very friendly and helpful, especially the guy who "ties knots." Hotel has great security and we enjoyed our stay there. I would come again and recommend this hotel. read more

If you're looking to stay at the Ritz, this is NOT the place. It's a typical Best Western. If you're going to stay for a few days, spring for a unit with a kitchen - it's worth it. The drawbacks: the shower. Actually, not the shower itself so much as whoever installed the shower rail. Wow... that person wasn't a candidate for Mensa. It'sa curved rod, the kind that's supposed to give you extra elbow room. Unless... you... install it so the widest part of the rod sticks out as far as a normal rod would sit. Add one of those super-light-weight shower curtains, air movement from the water spray and you have something cold, thin and soggy constantly adhering itself to your defenseless, nekkid self. It gets worse if you get in the shower when everyone else does and the water gets to lukewarm at best. Hmmm. Having written all that, I've lowered the stars to three. It's decent, but nothing spectacular. read more

We stayed here for two nights, it was nice because they asked if I wanted a room upstairs or downstairs, we picked downstairs because this pregnant momma likes to stay on the ground floor. Thank goodness we chose this because there is no elevator. This is an older hotel so floor creaks and carpet has seen better days. Staff was very helpful. Clean rooms, with good toiletries. We enjoyed the pool a lot, breakfast was good, small. I love the hot food option although sausage may have been overcooked. Our tv did flicker, I think it was the signal. Location is a little hard to get to, but lots of food options around, I would stick to the bigger name places to eat. read more

This is a good hotel for the price. There is a Chinese restaurant next-door that serves excellent food,hot and big portions. There is a nice indoor pool but no hot tub. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good two types of sausage two types of eggs waffles potatoes muffins cold cereal. read more

This property in my experience with BW is THE WORST. Hairs found on sheets. Broken floor board. No door closer installed on unit door for safety and security. AC unit pulls in cigarette smoke from BW designated smoking area AT THE ENTRANCE door adjacent to the our room's AC unit. I'll keep my BW membership, but I learned a hard lesson about Aladdin Inn, Kelso. Stay away. read more

This hotel was SO clean. Our room was spotless and everything looked new. The beds were soft but not exactly my thing but that's completely just because of my own personal preferences. Even though the coronavirus issues is keeping all these hotels from keeping their pools open these guys had a super clean pool and scheduled times for each room to go swimming. Honestly this hotel was SOO perfect. All the other hotels aren't offering breakfast because of the Coronavirus but these guys at least provided a small bag with fruit and a granola bar. If I could change ANYTHING... It would be a hot tub lol if this place got a hot tub I would only stay here when were in town. We were able to use our Xbox one with their TV and the wifi signal was pretty strong. read more

I much prefer a Hilton property as I travel often and enjoy their rewards program, so I was skeptical of staying here. Longview doesn't have many options, so we chose to stay here. I thought the hotel was very clean, plenty of hot water with great water pressure, nice pool that was actually warm enough to enjoy, and there was a work out room. The Elliptical was broken but the treadmill worked. The linens are all white which is something that I value. Also, the breakfast was adequate. The eating area is cold and sterile, but super clean. It's not a five star hotel but it makes no promises that it is. If I had to stay in Kelso/Longview again, I would stay here. read more

Very unhappy with the room setup. Never seen a hotel room with a vanity sink outside near the front door. People can see you doing your personal hygiene and can hear you brushing your teeth when they are trying to fall asleep. Wifi dont work, either. No elevators, have to carry luggages upstairs and I have a broken leg. View of a roofing company outside of window. Street pavement cracked, i can hear the traffic when I look out my window along with wires. Area is very ghetto. When you go downstairs to get breakfast people bump into you. read more

We found this motel a bit hard to find. The hall carpets have seen better days, and the single Queen room was small, but clean and comfortable. However, there was no rack to hang the hand towels. The free breakfast had homemade oatmeal and hash-browns along with the standard stuff. If you stay here, make sure that you have the air conditioning turned on at night to muffle the sound of train whistles. At the end of the day, it was probably overpriced by about $15. read more

Very small, no towel bar at the sink, which sounds picky, but that was par for the course with thin walls, no extra towels, 2 soaps and one small Pantene, terrible in - room coffee, narrow hallways with less than clean carpet in the hallway. People were talking outside our door for about 15 minutes at 1:00am. The clerk at the lobby desk wrote our room number on our room keys so it looked like something different, so we were trying to get in the wrong room. Standard' not amazing breakfast. Stayed here one night as it was in a convenient location and also fairly cheap. Room was very clean, no complaints. Shower had impressive water pressure. Bed was firm and comfortable. There was a weird sort of constant ringing throughout the entire stay here in our room...not sure if it was just in our room. I assumed it came from the smoke detector. It was annoying enough to prevent me from falling asleep as I couldn't stop focusing on the sound. The air conditioner is also very loud. I appreciated the hot breakfast in the morning. The lobby is quite small so there's a chance you'll be bringing breakfast back up into your room. read more

This is a local motel under the Best Western brand name. It is located in a sketchy area of the neighborhood. There was no elevator for the 2nd floor. The floor was rickety and uneven; when walking, the windows rattled and the beds rocked. The bath room was extremely small and outdated. The pool was poorly lit and was hard to see. The room smelled like pesticide. The customer service and typical continental breakfast were good, but the hotel itself was not on par with rest of the Best Western hotels. read more

This is not a typical Best Western. It's very out dated inside and out. We had key issues twice so we were finally put into a different room. Small rooms but it was just 2 adults so it wasn't a big deal. Bed was great and the staff were amazing. Room had lots of dust so that made it difficult with my allergies. First thing I noticed was that the staff was not friendly. They were polite at best. The morning guy was just this side of RUDE. I was part of a large group (more than 40 people in total). This was well known to the staff. One would think that a motel that expressed desire to house groups would be more prepared. Breakfast was suppose to start at 6am. My little part of this group was in the breakfast area AT 6. There were already some of our group there and the food was nearly gone. We had to wait for "the breakfast woman" who had just arrived, (as per Mr. Rude at the front desk) to refill everything. The next, and in my humble opinion, more important issue, was the pool. This is only because it is a HUGE SAFETY issue. I stepped onto the stone tile barefoot and my foot nearly went out from under me. The tile was SLICK. More like SLIMY. Every step was a conscious effort not to slip and fall. This motel has taken no steps to make sure that the stone tile is kept clean. The stone itself should be enough to be considered non-skid. Not this place. Lack of care has allowed some sort of slime to grow on the tile, creating an unsafe plane to walk on. The second issue was the steps leading into the pool. Same thing! NO NON SKID and they were slimy as well. I nearly lost my footing getting in, and I watched someone else ACTUALLY slip and fall while getting in. This place is open to a huge law suit if they do not attend to these safety issues. Someone WILL get hurt eventually. I am glad it wasn't me... and the person that that I saw fall while getting into the pool only cursed as he hit, but was not injured. The nest thing that made me cringe was the curly hairs (several of then) inside the shower - on the walls and on the tub bottom. This could have been avoided if someone, anyone, had bothered to RINSE out the area after cleaning it - if it had been cleaned at all. The last thing, and for me the worst thing as it gave me the absolute willies, where the SPIDERS! I killed a couple on the floor, and there was one, and it wasn't small, that was hiding in the pillows! I do not think I will come back to this establishment again. And one more issue. We were a large group. This place was at least $20 more than every other place in town AND THIS WAS THE GROUP rate. I was not impressed. Felt a little like price gouging since there weren't actually any other accommodations large enough for our group to be all in one place, available in town, when the reservations were made. read more

Very clean and quiet and close to everything. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We rented the king room with the kitchenette very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and there were adequate towels. The parking lot was being sealed so that was a little inconvenient but the only down side. We rode our Harley and it was the first time that we had to park it where we could not see it. The staff made sure that we knew there were security cameras in the parking lot. That was a big bonus! As it was the last leg of our vacation we were tired and accidentally left some items in the saddle bags. Everything was there in the morning! If I am ever in need of a place to stay in Kelso Washington I will certainly stay there again. Yes it was a typical Best Western but that is where I chose to stay. Much better than other Best Westerns I have stayed in. It was a nice way to end our vacation! read more
