I REALLY love my hair. I just woke up this morning after falling asleep with it wet, and it curled itself cute. Quality hair cut that it still looks great, and it's growing and the color and new growth is indistinguishable. I also had the thought that it looks cute like how it would naturally lighten if I had the time to surf. I don't have time to surf...but I like how natural all her skill and effort looks effortless and beautiful. Mary is amazing!! I have been going to Mary for over two years consistently. She has been the longest member of my glam squad! When I first came to Mary, my hair was not growing. It would not grow past right below my shoulders whereas before my hair went all the way to the middle of my back! I was so frustrated and sad. I wanted my long locks back. Whenever I went to other hairstylists, they would chop off my hair and start the whole, painful process again and my hair WOULD NOT GROW. Seriously, people, I was devastated. Mary is an incredible person, as well has stylist. She is easy to talk to, able to delve into depths of human experience, while at the same time focusing on giving a great cut. She is thoughtful & intelligent, and has great creativity in matching a cut that works with my personal features. As well, she does great color. I've had many bad experiences with colorists attempting to lighten my natural blond to the color of my younger years. (As I've grown older, it's darker & to me, it looks strange with my skin tone.). Other colorists have turned my blond an unnatural caramel-tone, strawberry-tone, yellow-brassy-tone, etc. But Mary is expert in taking my color lighter, while keeping it the flax-tone that it always has been. Sometimes it takes me longer than 6 weeks to get back in her chair due to travel, etc. - and it grows out naturally & beautifully. I appreciate that, as I can't always keep a strict hair schedule. Mary has created a beautiful, clean, well-designed space. It's lovely to spend a few hours there. Mary also is well-researched on using products that have a lot less of the harmful chemicals of typical hair colors & products. She is very willing to work with me on avoiding the most harmful chemicals, while still achieving great color. I appreciate her care in choosing her product line. Lastly, Mary is trained in Reiki, and I feel her energy-healing skills when she washes my hair! It's an incredible bonus to the great hair cut/color.
