I found Greg through Yelp. It has been almost 3 years since I've gotten a haircut. I've just been trimming it myself because I don't trust anybody. Not only did he give me exactly what I asked for, without me, sacrificing length, but now my hair is beautiful and healthy and and has a beautiful shape. He was so delightful to talk to you during my session as he is a beautiful being a flight spreading his joyfulness everywhere. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced the haircut is compared to some of these crazy star studded hairdressers here that cater to all the people in the film industry. They charge absolutely ridiculous prices. I will definitely be coming to him from this point on. Another bonus is as a parking is pretty easy where he is located and his window looks out right onto Broadway so there's always interesting characters walking by as you get your hair done. As a woman with really nice long hair I feel like it's very hard to find someone who doesn't butcher or chop your hair or give you weird layers and that doesn't keep your hair and it's integrity. It was tough to find someone who could stay open after 6 pm, but Greig responded quickly and immediately worked with my schedule. Where do I begin! I recently had my hair cut, colored, washed, and blown out by Greg. I got a balayage with face framing highlights and wanted it to look natural - I have brown hair and do not like bright blonde highlights because of how unnatural they look - and he did exactly what I asked for! I have dark hair so it took way longer than expected but he was so insanely nice and patient with me -- he even offered me to eat half of his sandwich because I was there during lunchtime. He is truly an artist and you can tell he really loves what he does. My hair wasn't quite the color we envisioned so I came back a few days later and he retouched my hair for free. I absolutely love how it looks and I will be coming back to him as a regular! He's just a really cool person too -- used to be a pro skater, was in different bands, and has lots of fun stories to keep you entertained while he's working on your hair. Greg does great work (at least four stars) but is far too touchy (0 stars) for a professional setting. 1. Too many hugs, requests for hugs, and hugs that last just a little too long. 2. Great shoulder massages but they feel strangely too intimate for a salon (given the other things listed here). 3. Wonderful hair washes but there is no reason for him to cradle your face in his arm - I don't need his forearm pressed to my cheek. 4. Compliments - everyone loves a compliment but these feel like he is hitting on you and it's just too much. 5. Asks to take a sip of your drink. Given the above, I won't be back. I loved how he did my hair and overall a nice person but there are boundaries in stylist/client relationship and he most definitely made me feel very uncomfortable at times. read more

Stumbled across this gem due to my regular hairdresser getting sick and my roots being super trailer trash.. I'm usually apprehensive about new colorists - however Greg is AMAZING! He somehow managed to squeeze my demanding behind in today, is an absolute sweetheart and did such an incredible job. The color is exactly how I like it - classy blonde not peroxide hooker. I feel so lucky to have found him at such short notice. His prices are so reasonable and he works quickly and efficiently. So I booked an appointment and same day got in to see her. First impression: Very kind, Happy and easy to have conversation with. I showed her my pictures of what I was wanting (very nervous because I was chopping my hair!!! Please note: my hair is my baby, my security blanket and I rarely even let people trim it) Anyways, she walked me through how she was going to cut my hair based on my texture and thickness of my hair and SHE ROCKED the style....not to mention the head massage with the wash. She does have a policy that in the first week if I need an adjustment I can come back for no extra charge. I did and that is only because I had her play it safe with the cut and I went home played with my hair and decided I wanted more off. Go big or go home right?! She squeezed me in same day again like the amazing person she is and she AGAIN killed the hair cut. I truly felt my hair was in great hands and she chopped about 8" off my hair. Before my appointment my hair was long and dry/ damaged from recent bleaching (it would seriously tangle every 10 minutes).
