Out of all the mucho burrito locations this one is the one to avoid. Small portions, they really give you the tiniest amount of toppings - then charge you if you want any extra. My entire family avoids this location because they are cheap when it comes to portion sizes, and the quality of the ingredients & service at this location is bad. Amount of burrito contents they add is just a small fraction of what other locations do, the burritos arent cheap, and if I'm getting a veggie burrito and they only give me a half spoons of toppings then what is the point. Have tried this location few times, and me and my entire family have tried to give this a chance but this is the WORST mucho burrito in the lower mainland, we have all stayed away from this one and have told others to do as well. If they finally choose to get proper training, and give people the actual amounts that they are paying for then I would choose to return and recommend people but for now, don't waste your money here, go to any of the other locations. the food at mucho is good, however the service, staff and products at this location are a rip off & not worth your money or business. read more

Ridiculous service! I placed an online order at 10:32 for pick up at 11:30 am. I reached at 11:32, firstly as I enter no one is there behind the counter - one employee is sitting on the seats herself, talking on the phone. Two others at the back see me and ignore me... until I call them out! Which is when they come out and ask me 'yes' so I say o am here to pick up my online order - clearly she is surprised to hear that - reflected in the big 'oh' that she said!!! She then says okay, give me a minute ... picking up the order in from of me ! When asked why is it not ready yet, she lies to me and says 'oh, we JUST got the order at 11:15' !!!! At 11:35, 11:15 was 20 minutes ago! Especially when you have placed an order at 10:32, you don't expect to wait ... she then blamed the machine that it doesn't notify us!!!!! Wow, as an employee are you being paid to stand and chat?!!! I will not be surprised if this location closes soon - food is okay for the money but small portions as well. This used to be my most frequented location but I'm noticing they are really skimping out on toppings, almost like it hurts them. At first I attributed it to perhaps a staff member being new but this has now become a consistent pattern. I went looking for this place after I saw an ad for it on TV. I researched the menu and the reviews posted on a couple of services. They share a parking lot with another restaurant and a vet, soo can see that parking might be an issue. Fortunately, it wasn't the day I tried them for takeout dinner. The food was fresh and crispy where it was supposed to be crispy. I tried one of the standard burritos, as well as a design it yourself one. This convinced me that I should leave the burrito destining to the professionals. Theirs was great. Mine used some lovely ingredients to make a mediocre burrito. Next time I'll pick from the standard menu. The staff was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and wanted to help. The restaurant was clean and tidy. I'm going back. read more

I'm typing this review as I munch on the kids combo: kid size burrito with choice of 2 toppings (or 3, I can't remember) and juice box and nachos with choice of salsa or sour cream. It was $5.95 plus tax and worth every penny. The lady stuffed the burrito and the portion was just perfect for me! Why do I ever go back to this shitty chain? The only good filling, the shrimp Always causes a shit show. So I ordered another bland boring veggie burrito. Decent burritos, but don't bother ordering online to save time or to limit time in public places. Four of the four times I've ordered online, they haven't even seen my order by the time I show up, sometimes 25 minutes later. Really disappointed in the service I got. The size of your burito depends on who's making your meal. My co-worker and I both got a regular burito and mine was half the size of his. Pretty choked. I would have said something but we were on business and it would have been unprofessional. This is place is hit or miss. I have been here many times where the same guy serving does 1/4 scoop of meat, and 1/3 scoop of tomatoes, and skimps on everything else. Pretty damn good as far as fast food 'Mexican' goes, although not convinced that anybody who's actually Mexican would agree. That being said, the only truly authentic Mexican place owned & run by people from Mexico which I've been to in Surrey was far from fresh or even decent tasting, unfortunately. This establishment however, is decent. It's clean, the portions are honking with a few exceptions, the food is quite fresh and the employees seem to be pretty good about using fresh gloves when they come out of the back to prepare your food. No crotch-scratching-booger-picking-preparing-your-food employees working here that I've noticed yet (I'm looking at you SUBWAY). Big plus! My favorite are the quesadillas with choice of meat/seafood, loaded with extra cheese, fresh cilantro & black beans. Not a fan of their 'refried beans' though, which are more like whole-bean soup *bleh* They could also do with some extra seasoning of lime juice, salt & cilantro in their shrimp as the little peckers are pretty durn bland. I always ask them to slap some rice & veggies on my quesadilla in addition to everything else they put on, which has never been refused, and which makes them more filling than normal. Bloody awesome bc Canadian customer service in general is really lacking at the majority of places we have been in. It's usually service with a sh1tty attitude & a groin-grope, rather than with a smile. Or you get the employees whose just altogether ignore your simple requests (light on the mayo & heavy on the lettuce, you say? &*%! you Customer Bob, not today!) Tried the tacos as well, with shrimp, which weren't bad for a quick snack. Apparently available with soft shells or hard shells. Have only tried the soft. Bit pricey for what they are & the small size, though. Have had much better seafood tacos elsewhere for approximately the same price, gotta say, but they weren't revolting. Won't be ordering them again, however. One thing I truly did NOT like was the fact that the sautéed veggies can start looking pretty jacked up - meaning discolored & mushy *gag* They should *not* allow them to get to the point that they look seriously unappetizing, don't care how long they have or haven't been sitting there. I ask them to quickly whip up some fresh ones when necessary, which also hasn't been refused - another plus for them - but unfortunately they just dump the fresh on top of the nasty *double gag* When the veggies are nice, they're crispy & still have texture & flavor, rather than being wilted & mushy. But FFS throw the nasty ones out before refilling the container! I don't touch the salsas, especially after tasting the mildest one, which the tomatoes definitely weren't fresh in. I think they may keep what's left over at the end of the day & serve it again the next. That, in my opinion, is an absolute no-go. If you're lucky, they made it that day. If not *BARF* It's salsa roulette, I tell ya. Raw, chopped tomatoes do *not* keep well overnight. Their sour cream is also very thin & watery, bland. Not a fan at all. I want THICK, creamy SOUR cream. So I use my own condiments at home if that's where I happen to be oinking. If not, I'm just SOL. Overall, pretty good, but definitely room for improvement. Keep in mind, this ain't cheap fast food. No $1.49 cheeseburgers here. Even with a coupon, 2 regular sized burritos & 1 quesadilla (which is made with ONE tortilla folded over, so you're essentially getting HALF a quesadilla) with a can of pop comes to over $28 Woulda been well over $30 without the discount *HOLY CRAP BATMAN* But I'd sooner drop that kind of cash here than at McVomit's down the street. The extra bonus to this place is you can see the Surrey RCMP very often visiting the pub next door in the middle of the day, still uniformed, still packing, driving their obviously marked cars, showing your kiddies & the local crack-heads a great example. They're usually there much longer than would be necessary to calm any 'disturbances', so bring your video gear one & all! read more

We have came here a total of 3 times. Thinking it would get better with time. WRONG. It is getting worse. Staff are not friendly or not smiling. We get the feeling they don't want to be there working. I certainly question food safe practices.For example cutting chicken and steak on the same cutting board. They have items in drawers below the main top serving area. No idea how long items have been in warning trays. Newly cooked product was refilled into old empty dirty trays. If you want better food and service. Go to the Burnaby location. It is certainly worth the drive and not worth the risk of getting sick. read more

My regular place lately for burritos after switching over from chipotle about a year ago. I find mucho burrito has more diverse toppings and the flavour is always great no matter the meat etc. I like their mucho size too great deal for 12$. I find the veggies, beef and chicken to be super fresh and flavourful and not just kinda blend in like the other major burrito chains. read more

We went to Mucho Burrito today after googling taco deal mar and seeing bad reviews and reviewers telling us to try Mucho Burrito instead. We were not disappointed! What an amazing Mexican restaurant, superior service, excellent fresh food, huge selection of topping choices, and the beautiful Mexican music playing was just fantastic! Vegetarian, meat and various spice options (mild - crazy hot), and such friendly staff! We Will be back and I will tell all my friends to check out the Mucho Burrito in Surrey on King George! Finally Chipotle has a competition. I'm huge fan of Mexican food. Regular fast food joints like Taco Bell etc don't cut it any more. I love how it's made I front of you and you can pick the stuff you like to add or skip. I like to keep it vegan so they didn't put cheese etc as per my request. I had veggie mucho size. It was so tasteful. Their service is fast and friendly and nice decor. This is my go to place if I need quick lunch. read more

Stopped in for dinner anticipating my usual Veggie bowl. As a vegetarian, it is rare I can dig into a bowl of food with gusto. Usually go to Langley shop and had been at this Surrey location a few weeks back and the food was great. Tonight I was very disappointed and I think may become a continued trend. No veggie crumbles, instead of ancient grains was given lots of brown rice (neither was even offered) and some sad wilted vegetables. Certainly not the selection provided in the past. 1st time I heard of the "choose 4 toppings" My meal was flavourless with little texture. I can only hope the Langley location continues to provide the delicious hearty fare that we have come to expect from this chain. read more

I ordered a small Barbacoa burrito. I chose the white cilantro rice, veggies instead of beans, and added guacamole. First off and worst of all, the rice must have been sitting there all day, because as I ate my burrito the rice was not moist and soft, it was dry and rock hard. For a moment, I thought I had broken a tooth on it, but luckily it was just crunchy bits of rice. The rice warmer definitely needs to have a lid kept on top of it [which it did not], and additionally, someone should be adding a bit of water to it throughout the day to keep it from drying out. And lastly, if there's going to be various sizes of burritos, then there should be various charges for the different amounts of guacamole that are going to be added to the burritos, not just one price. $1 for 1 1/2 tablespoons of guacamole on a small burrito is a bit much, don't you think? After taxes, I spent near $10 on a small burrito that I didn't even half eat and had to throw away because it was inedible. I will not eat there again. read more

I feel like this place is extremely underrated. To put it in perspective, it's way better than chipotle. They have way more options as far as toppings go, more variety in the menu. Horrible customer service! I ordered two vegetarian burritos through skip the dishes, and it was a horrible experience! I've been a vegetarian for over 3 years and they gave me two meat burritos, I bit into it fully trusting that they would be capable of getting an order correctly but I was wrong. I then called them and the person that answered the phone continued cutting me off when I tried to speak. They even tried giving me various excuses trying to pin the blame on others, when all I wanted was an apology and to be heard. I asked for my full refund and they said I'd have to go in personally. Even after already causing me such an an awful inconvenience. My stomach is no tossing and turning due to their mistake. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. If I could give them no stars I would! It disgusts me that they pay such little attention to their customers dietary needs, had I been allergic to meat I'd now be in the hospital thanks to them. read more

First time at Mucho Burrito and I don't think I will return. I felt like I was an inconvenience. There was nobody in line and only two people in the restaurant. They skimped on the ingredients, even when I asked for a bit more. The edible bowl was overcooked. It was put in the bag sideways so all the ingredients spilled out. They didn't explain anything when I asked but just pointed to the menu board. They didn't put the food on the loyalty card and refused to re-do it for me. A great option if you have to get fast food but don't want anything too greasy! Everything tasted very fresh and was very satisfying in the sense that it tastes like real food instead of processed junk. The service is always clean and very quick and although the prices aren't exactly cheap, the portions you get are quite large and it's honestly worth it instead of heading over to some burger place.
