They can be tricky regarding waivers and riding when it comes to minors. I know it is a liability but you literally need to get a form notarized before being able to ride. Once inside raceway park it can be tricky to navigate and know where you're going. There are no signs telling you where or what tracks to go to. (there are multiple) Track is always groomed well but it can get very muddy. With all the money this place makes all they have is porter potty's that are gross and hot inside. I really can't complain due to the fact this is the only track close to my home but they can definitely brush up on some loose ends.

Our whole family loved the experience, and the staff was fantastic. A special shout-out to Isebaia, who took great care of us. She clearly and patiently explained all the options and was a fantastic ambassador for the front desk. We bought the 3-ride bundle. Since a couple of the kids were under 15, we started with a Semi-Pro race. Unfortunately, my kart wasn't working properly--it braked going uphill, downhill, and pretty much whenever it felt like it. Not exactly the ideal start. The next races we switched to Pro, but there were still quite a few racers on the track. If you're hoping to set records, I'd definitely recommend coming at a quieter time. When you have slower drivers who haven't quite figured out how to drive yet, patience becomes part of the experience. Despite that, everyone had a great time, and the staff really made the experience enjoyable. A couple of negatives: the karts should be checked more carefully before putting them into a race. Losing a race because your kart isn't functioning properly is frustrating. And then there's the price. Three races each for the whole family gets very expensive--almost approaching what you might pay for a full day at Universal Studios. That definitely puts the cost into perspective. I would give a 5 star for the racetrack and the staff, but the price and the broken kart brought it down to 3. So 4 in total Would I do it again? Absolutely. Would my wallet agree? Probably not. Still, for a family of racing and motor enthusiasts, it's an experience worth doing at least once.

Everything was spread out and didn't feel on top of each other. The location was way bigger than it had appeared to be. Bathrooms were spotless. I initially had my Dad and I to do one race and an hour of axe throwing but after our race my Dad lit up. So I asked the helpful associate Angel if we can sub our axe game for another race. The manager Nicole was such a sweetheart and did it no problem. Amazing experience, 10/10 recommend. My only dilemma is for people who carry most of their height in their legs beware. The go-cart seat can only go back so much. But otherwise we had a blast.

While it is like driving an oversized Go-Cart, there are no speed governor's and you are in control. These TQ Midget Cars can go up to 120 mph. However, for us average drivers, you can get up to speeds of 60-70 mph. You get 5 laps around the 1/3 mile track, with laps averaging 15-30 seconds. For $30 more, you can get 5 more laps. The whole experience lasts 1-2 hours from check in to completion. They provide you with Cotton Socks, a Fire Resistant suit and shoes and Helmet. All you need is your License and CASH if you plan on purchasing a Photo, GoPro video, or additional laps. Otherwise, leave everything else in the car because there are no lock boxes available. No experience is needed. They give you a personal presentation about driving the vehicle and then bring you to the vehicle to learn everything you need to know about it. After this, you are ready to go! Everyone goes separately, however, you will follow an experienced driver in a "pace" car, but this will not limit the experience. Without a Groupon, I do not know if I would pay full price to do this experience. They do offer a Two for One special as well for $220 that includes 10 laps instead of 5, so that may be worth it. It is also worth noting that they only run this Experience during the summer time at 9am and 1030am.

Frankly, I didn't go often enough to say I'll miss it but truthfully. I'll miss it -- as it's just another sunset on an era that spanned almost eight generations. I've been completing Rugged Maniac events for the past four years. It's a fun and slightly…read morechallenging mud run ideal for both beginners and ocr pros. For less than $50 (on average), you get access to the 5k course with 20+ obstacles. Upon completion you get a finisher's medal, free tee shirt and a beer for runners 21+. If one free beer is not enough there are vendors where you can purchase additional beverages. Rugged also hosts an after party with a dj and contests (beer hoist, pull up contest and etc.). The race is held at the Old Bridge Township Raceway Park which is flat aside from a few dirt hills made specifically for the course. Most of the obstacles were doable, none were overly difficult. The most challenging for me are the obstacles requiring upper body strength like the rings and monkey bars. There is no pressure to complete any obstacle-you are able to skip without penalty. I consider it more of a laid back/less challenging Spartan Race. The flow of the course was very good-there weren't any bottlenecks or delays at any the obstacles. The course is super muddy and you will get mud/dirt in every nook and cranny of your body. There are outdoor showers to rinse the dirt off so bring a change of clothes and a towel.

Have you been to Atlantic City? Once you get past the Boardwalk and the Casino strip, the town is an impoverished mess. Springsteen said it best... "It's a place where when you hit a red light, you don't stop." Personally, I hope they make it since I enjoy watching these magnificent animals run but it's New Jersey where the uninspired reliance on gaming usually leads to snake eyes.
