Everything was smooth and seamless. Got to the rental facility and remembered what I read online which was that there was no parking onsite and you needed to find parking on a side street. Found parking and made our way to luge rental office. After the safety briefing we made our way to the water. Once we got out to the riding area the floodgates of fun were opened up and we had a blast!! Surprising how fast an hour goes by! Great spot, the guides are great and knowledgeable. Definitely will return and rent again.....if I don't buy my own ski, cause they gave me the itch! LOL. RENT HERE YOU WONT BE SORRY.

After poking around for a bit trying to find the office, a young boy greeted me on the dock. I told him that I was interested in renting a single kayak and he brought me to the spot on the dock where they were stored. The kayaking equipment was in poor condition. There was no back to the kayak, so it was very uncomfortable. The paddle that I was given seemed to be a kids paddle as it was extremely short and thus difficult to use. The area where this dock is located is not a great area for kayaking given that it is amongst many motor boat docks. Despite signs stating "no wake allowed," several boats that drove past me on my kayak ride did produce wakes, which knocked my kayak back and forth. The water in this area also had a dirty smell and some trash in it. Finally, despite the website stating that a 1 hour kayak rental would be $20, I was charged $30. When I noted that I saw a different price on their website, they flippantly stated that they "changed their prices." All in all, this was a poor kayaking experience and I will not be returning.

It wasn't particularly challenging or crazy amounts of fun. There were 12 obstacles dispersed throughout the 5k, and many people walked (so don't worry to those who don't like running). Some of the obstacles were very lame, some of them were interesting. I definitely wouldn't do this again, but I don't entirely regret it. Don't buy this regularly; buy it on Groupon/LivingSocial!

Not a good race…read more That being said, it's not the fault of the Wipeout Run organization, but the rules of NYC. I've done a number of races at Brooklyn Aviator. They were all pretty terrible. One example is Rugged Maniac. Due to NYC regulations, RM doesn't set up the barbed wire, fire obstacles or have any legit mud pits. If you run a RM anywhere else, you will have a PHENOMENAL race. At Brooklyn Aviator? Skip it. I ran the ROC race (former name of Wipeout run) last year. Last year, we had all the obstacles. This year, under Wipeout, 3 obstacles were missing from the course: Monkey Business, Bubble Bash Swing, and Dope on a Rope. The terrain at Brooklyn Aviator is awful. They place all obstacles on an old airplane tarmac. It's 100% flat asphalt. And due to them missing three obstacles, there were only 9 scattered throughout 3.1 miles of asphalt. The majority of the time you're just running/jogging/walking through dead zones on cement. For anyone curious, it's not a challenging obstacle race. It's more for fun and wearing ridiculous outfits. No "obstacle" at the Aviator race is made to challenge your body in any way. Majority are just water slides, and glorified bouncy houses. I would be curious to see what a legit Wipeout Run looks like, but this really isn't a race I'd travel out of state to complete.

The staff at the office along with the staff that went out to the water with us, all wonderful. The one at the water was very patient and highly attentive as we kept falling in the water and he was right there everything to help us. He also took many amazing pictures and videos. I came here on a Sunday morning around 11:30am and rented a kayak for 2 hours and went kayaking on the Delaware & Raritan canal. Doing 2 hours on the canal was the perfect about of time because I was exhausted. It is such a fun and active activity. You can also rent a canoe or kayak for 1 hr, 2 hrs, or all day and the price does vary depending on time length and which boat you pick to use.
