Everyone is so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. They are also really good at following up on upcoming appointments or vaccinations due to make sure your pets are up-to-date. I called around 8:30 a.m. this morning to establish care for my two French Bulldogs and was told that they were accepting new patients but it would be a month out. The receptionist began collecting my information to create patient charts, discussed scheduling appointments for June, and was in the process of preparing the required $40 per pet appointment hold fee when the call was disconnected. When I called back later, a different receptionist informed me that the clinic was not accepting new patients and that I would not be able to establish care there. When I explained that another staff member had literally begun the intake process and was preparing to collect payment for appointments, I was simply told, "I don't know, but we're not taking new patients." The complete lack of communication and consistency was incredibly frustrating. Based on the glowing reviews, I expected a much more professional and organized experience. While I cannot speak to the quality of the veterinary care itself, the customer service and handling of front-office communication left a very poor first impression.

I knew I couldn't keep Marina home with my other two dogs because I hadn't socialized them yet. Breanna was recommended to me by the Rescue that I got Marina from. Although I was nervous about leaving my new girl with a stranger, Breanna wasn't a stranger after my first meeting with her. Her philosophy's on dog care and training were exactly what we needed. I also felt comfortable asking her questions and suggestions on some skin issues that Marina was having. Knowing that she had been a Registered Vet Tech made me feel comfortable taking her advice. Marina stayed with Breanna during the day while I was at work for about 2 months. She gained social skills while interacting with her family and other dogs. She actually bonded with her cat. Marina's best friend at home is my rescue cat. I have to thank Breanna for giving my girl the start she needed in life when I couldn't be there.

After searching for emergency vets and pet urgent care centers, I tried getting my cat, Gumdrop,…read moretreated for pyometra at a place in Lancaster but they were going to charge me around $2000 just for diagnostics alone, then another $3000 for an emergency spay! I couldn't afford it and was so scared I'd have to get her put to sleep. Then I called Bishop Veterinary Hospital and was able to get a walk in appointment the very next day! The staff was so helpful and communicated very well, and even the veterinarian himself communicated directly with me about Gumdrop's treatment plan. Gumdrop needed to be spayed anyway, so the vet did not require me to get Gumdrop any diagnostic tests. We decided to just have her spayed without any tests. I paid under $500 for an emergency spay, antibiotics, the walk-in fee, and the post surgery pain medication. I am so grateful to Bishop Veterinary Hospital and can't recommend them enough!
