Barely write a negative reviews, I was holding myself for a months not to do it , but dealing with post problems after last grooming appointment for my dog, I wanted to warned people who especially have a golden doodle ! Do not come in this place !!! this place has no care about your dog at all! I took my golden doodle there couple of times, first one was just a shampoo and light trim, was ok, besides, the lady who is a owner , used sharped clippers on my dog and his lips was swollen for a week and red, I have told her about and warn her not to do this anymore, after second my visit my dog couldn't stop shaking his head for a week, she used harsh tools on trimming, after 3rd my appointment it was completely insane, when I asked her full body trim, she destroyed his long fur I was growing for a years, absolutely ruined his face shaped, I asked her slightly trim and do not cut much face , but trimmed years, she did opposite, like she doesn't speak English or what ? All over his body I saw patches, like something textured and removed fullness, later I took him to another groomer and they said , it's from tools she used , which chopped his hair from the roots, you don't see it right away, because it's fresh and fluffy , but 2-3 days after I noticed uneven depth into his fur and start notice uneven cut and it takes so much time to grow it back and I have told cut all over his body now to bring balance in length, horrible experience. And one thing, my dog after last appointment had throat issues, like she was choking him so hard and don't give a water or something, he was making weird nice when he was walking next to me , like something injured into his throat, month after it is gone , thx god .. GUYS, this place needs to be closed at some point , the way she treats animals... I'm not telling you how my dog was shaking when we walked in into that place, which I barely saw my well trained service dog, we never had that problem and all groomers always said how well behaved my dog and calm ! While visiting my daughter in Bakersfield on family business, I noticed one of her dogs (Teddy) was in dire need of a complete grooming, including nails, ears and glands. Contacted numerous dog groomers and Valeria at Doggie Do's Pet Salon responded immediately and was able to get Teddy in the same day. When I arrived I noticed the waiting area was immaculate and Valeria greeted me and informed me I was her last customer for the day. Another gentleman arrived to pick up his two dogs and they looked very well groomed and quite calm. The gentleman said another groomer had refused to groom his dogs because they were too unruly?? Valeria assured him they were very well behaved during their grooming and I was impressed by her calm demeanor when discussing the issue. Long story short, Valeria did a great job grooming Teddy and he came out looking so good and I was amazed at how calm he was from the experience. My daughter and grandkids were amazed at Teddy's transformation as well (see photos). Needless to say, Doggie Do's Pet Salon is now her go-to pet groomer in Bakersfield. read more

This owner needs to be careful on who is answering phones and is at there front desk. I called at 11:00 am on 4/11/26 and have never received such disrespect. I tried making an appointment through their booking site and it was not letting me continue after submitting the info about my dog's shots so I called instead. I should've have just started looking for a new groomer as I was met with so much disrespect and hostility. The lady that answered was not trying to helpful at all. I was attempting to explain my experience with their booking site and she said oh we're booked today and are getting busy. So I followed up to ask when the next availability is and she was quick to cut me off and just say that they are booked. I tried to explain further that I didn't want the appointment for today but at a later date but she keeps cutting me off and was aggressive. I was just so put off from the conversation I decided not to continue booking at the salon. If anyone knows of a good salon, please let me know! read more

Decided to walk right out. edit (4/26/2025): The owner replied asking me for a picture of the front office? How about you take one yourself? You've got screws sticking out of the countertops where customers could easily get hurt. The entire front office looks like it hasn't been swept or mopped in who knows how long. I've been coming here since the old owners and have never had any issues. I will be honest I was a little nervous when the new owners came in because I wasn't sure how my dogs would react. I have one dog who has bad anxiety and caused herself to rip her nail out during her very first grooming session with the old owners (No one's fault or negligence). BUT new staff has been super wonderful with them and has been doing such a great job! My dogs come out looking great every time! My anxious dog stays calm and does well with them. I love the new pricing it makes it easier to get my dogs regularly groomed! Staff is great! They get me in ASAP. I live right around the corner from this place and I've been going to Petsmart to get my dogs groomed. I recently had a bad experience, so now I was looking for new options. I've driven by this place a bunch of times and didn't think much of it. I just didn't consider using them for whatever reason. I thought maybe they be expensive. I called and made an appointment and the person on the phone was very helpful. They gave me the exact qualification that was needed for my dog to be seen and taken care of. We set an appointment. Appointment day and time arrived and I dropped my little Hutch off. Intend it took all of my information and my immunization records, that I was told about advance. She asked me what I wanted him to look like and I described it. My dog is not hard to take care of. They did a fantastic job. Said he was a very good boy. He looked really good when he came out and he was happy to see me. One of the reasons I'm giving these guys five stars is that they are extremely sanitary. I like the fact that the room was clean. If dogs came in and had an accident they stopped and cleaned it right up with mop an actual cleaning product. They had doggy waste bags in case the dog you got nervous and pooped. I'm telling you, it looks like they were ready for any eventuality and I like the fact that they were clean and kind. I will gladly take my dog back there. Hopefully they'll take bigger dogs because I have a Labrador that needs to be groomed. read more

I wanted to love this place. My dogs had an excellent first puppy bath with them and I booked again hoping to just have their face and paws shaved like I asked. I've been growing my pups coat out to work on his top knot and it was cut so short and crooked and his nails were not done correctly. I specifically told whoever made the appointment I don't cut their hair. Just shave face and paws and that wasn't followed. I paid $124 for two puppies with crappy hair cuts I never wanted. Super disappointed They were able to get them in quickly and that was nice. Unfortunately I don't think this is the salon for us. read more
