I came to this cute bakery just after noon on a weekday in between visiting the Rockwell museum and…read morethe Corning Glass Museum. I'd seen the positive Yelp reviews and received it as a suggestion from the young lady at the Rockwell visitor desk. This is a counter service bakery & cafe. There was a line when I got here. It was a bit slow with one person taking orders. There's a handful of tables and short counter seating looking out the front window. I noticed the sweet smell of baked goods when I walked in. I ordered the recommended BLT Turkey & Cheese crepe with the warm cheesy casserole side. The crepe is large, larger than a sandwich. There is a lot of dill sauce on top but it isn't overwhelming. The crepe has good flavor and it is filled well. The thinly sliced lettuce and diced tomato help lighten each bite. The casserole is on the smaller size which perfectly suits the size of the crepe. It's very cheesy with the potatoes adding more of a texture than a flavor. I would recommend this spot for a filling lunch while exploring Corning.

Meanwhile, the "potato casserole" looked suspiciously like a scoop from a crockpot. To top it all off, this masterpiece was served on flimsy paper plates, the kind you find at family potlucks. Not exactly the "artisan cafe" experience I had in mind. And let's not forget the kitchen ambiance: constant door slams and beeps from what was clearly microwaves. When the forgot our bacon, we watched through the kitchen opening the bacon being reheated in the microwave. The baked items in the case looked good and seemed fresh. There was a constant line for cookies, etc. Final verdict? Left disappointed about my breakfast. Would go back and try the baked goods. Hopefully, they will be a better option.

This is a small mom and pop shop so tight squeeze and usually a line out the door but the cannolis...the best we've had in years! It's all homemade and they put the filling in fresh, in front of you, every order! Customer service was top notch as well! The cashier who treats you like family always lets new customers try their filling on a spoon before buying. Highly recommend this spot after a days drive.

Google Maps said it was roughly a 15-minute, 0.6-mile walk from the glen. I had no idea the business was going to be operating out of a residential home. It's not a big deal. It was just unexpected. A few things didn't sit well with me. #1. The service was not very warm, welcoming, or friendly. Customer service could be improved overall. #2. I ordered a dozen small cannoli for $16.50. According to my receipt, I was charged 11 for $16.50, and I only received 11. So, they shorted me one cannoli. #3. The filling was supposed to be Ricotta Chocolate Chip, but the filling had little to no chocolate chips. It would be great if they could add more mini chocolate chips to the filling. #4. The cannoli filling came in a large commercial tub. The commercial tub gave me the impression that they don't make the filling themselves. I do give them props for filling the cannoli to order so that the shells maintain their crispiness. All in all, it was a decent cannoli; just not 100% sure it's homemade.
