I was visiting Portland for the first time and found Mudra on Yelp. Ashley gave me the best massage I've ever experienced in my life! And I get A LOT of massages. She's incredibly intuitive and found every single knot/sore spot in my body. Her pressure was also perfect - I love deep tissue but she knew exactly when to ease off so it didn't become unbearable at any point. It's rare that a therapist could deliver such a perfect massage that I have zero feedback. Since returning to LA, I've been on the hunt for a therapist who is as skilled as Ashley but no one even comes close. Portland, you are lucky! read more

I rang the door bell and texted my arrival and I recieced no communication back They wasted my time by confirming they could accommodate me when they couldn't and left me waiting when I could had made other plans. Was pointed in the direction of this location and I truly needed a massage after all of my travels. I opted for the 2hr massage. I put multiple requests in to have cupping added but that did not occur. I tried to trust the process. I felt really relaxed after and I felt like the therapist truly listened to my pain areas and worked within them. I chose the therapist based on her skill set and my understanding that she would/could utilize all of those skills in the 2hrs but that was not the full experience. It was still an amazing massage and I would return. The staff are incredible, very communicative and the environment is super peaceful. My shoulders dropped in the waiting room. read more

I went to a massage about a week ago, and while I was naked under the drape sheets, Dan lifted up my sheet, completely exposing my naked body while I was laying on my back and then asked for me to turn onto my stomach and waited, exposing my body and lifting up the blanket very high. Had my first prenatal massage ever here and it was wonderful! My sister gifted me a certificate to Mudra and it was very easy to use. Easy to book as well, can be booked online. I was able to book day before, and they had good availability for the weekend. Jebrahn was so kind, and receptive to feedback. Good amount of pressure. I felt so relaxed after! Facility felt very clean and had a relaxing environment. They had a bunch of cushions so I could lay on my belly too, which was amazing since I haven't done it for a while now. I had my massage at 32 weeks pregnant and it was great! They started promptly, had massage oils and hot towels as part of the package. Wound definitely recommend and return again! read more

I had an AWESOME deep tissue massage here with Cory! It's hard for me to find a massage therapist that will give me enough pressure to actually help my muscle tightness, but I found what I wanted at Mudra. The next day after the massage my traps and low back (problem areas) felt sore and then the days after that I felt MUCH better! Beautiful waiting room, relaxing environment with soothing music and tons of CBD products. You can even upgrade your massage to a CBD massage using topical lotions, which I would be interested in trying in the future. read more

I wanted this to be an amazing and relaxing experience. What was supposed to be a treat to myself ended up being medical bills and months of pain. I was working a lot of overtime hours during the holiday season a few years ago. I decided to treat myself to a "fusion" massage here at Mudra. Not knowing what to expect, the massage therapist explained that she would be using bars on the ceiling and walking on my back, etc. During the session, she didn't bother to check in on how the pressure was, not even once. Since I was unfamiliar with this massage technique, I also wasn't sure how deep it was supposed to feel myself. Since neither party spoke up, I ended up getting INJURED with bruised intercostal tissue. I couldn't inhale without pain for more than 2 months! I had to get several treatments from my chiropractor to deal with the issue. When I emailed the manager at Mudra to notify her of what happened, she was at first very nice. I forwarded her my medical records from my recovery and explained what happened. After a while she casually mentioned she could offer me a discount on my next massage. I then requested just to get a refund of the massage (not even asking for help with the medical costs of the injury!) She then ghosted me. She stopped responding to my emails. This is not the kind of behavior I would expect from this kind of establishment! I am writing this now because I'm still angry that the issue was not made right. read more

I went to Mudra about ~6 years ago and had a great experience, so when I needed a last minute appointment, I booked a deep tissue massage. The massage I got was very light in pressure -- somewhere between a gentle Swedish and craniosacral. Before we started, my therapist asked if I would be open to craniosacral and I said no, I booked deep tissue and yes, I'm sure. I've had craniosacral in the past, and it's not what I wanted. During the massage, at several points, I asked for more pressure. After the massage was over, she commented that even though "it wasn't deep", I still might be sore and to drink lots of water. So she knew that it wasn't deep tissue, so it wasn't what I booked?? I STILL TIPPED 15%. Ask me why, because I honestly do not know. I should have left nothing as tip, since I already paid for the service, and it wasn't what I wanted! I emailed the business and gave this feedback. They offered me a 20% discount if I wanted to book again. That's a hard no. read more

I brought my mom here to celebrate her. I scheduled the massage about two weeks prior online, nice easy booking. We got to the location and it is really nice inside. My mom got an excellent massage so she was happy. I can't say the same for myself. I was pretty clear that I have had many massages from all over the world and I like deep pressure. I selected deep pressure on the forms and still had to ask for it to be more deep 2 times during the massage and after that I found it pointless to keep repeating myself. It wasn't a terrible massage, it was just okay. There were good parts but the therapist didn't listen to what I specifically wanted. I also asked for attention to my wrists and that didn't seem to happen either. I do have bracelets on that I cannot take off but I've never had any therapists in the past have trouble with that. So I tipped on the lower end of the recommendation and here I am back on yelp trying to find a massage because my back is still uncomfortable. read more
