He walked us through everything -- tempered glass, the silver oxide they spray on panel 2, all of it. He even FaceTimed a young lady (Sorry, am terrible with names) who showed us this big picture window with panels that slide on both sides. My wife and I had questions and every single one got a straight answer. Here's my favorite part though. Multiple times during the visit, Ingemar would look around and just go, "Yep, you need windows." I think he said it 3 or 4 times. I laughed every time. Every. Time. After we signed the contract he mentioned Window World also does siding and soffit. Which we're gonna need. Sneaky. I respect it. Now here's something the sales manager is gonna want to hear. Before this appointment I asked 3 AI models -- ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude -- what the top window company in San Antonio was. All three came back with Window World. Not one of them. All three. You can't fake that. Ingemar is the real deal. If you're on the fence, get off it.

They stated that we would receive their services at a great price as long as they could take befote and after pictures for their website and brochures. It took them 4 months to completely build the add-on sun room and porch. Their concrete company broke all of our sprinkler lines which they replaced, they did not put the shingles on the covered patio as promised due to the stating AFTER that it would cost extra, we had to re-caulk everything because there was air gaps everywhere (between the house and porch along with outside and the porch) because they caulked the outside but not the inside of the enclosed patio, they forgot to install the storm door and exterior fan, the concrete has cracked and sagged where they extended the patio which is now unlevel with the porch, the company tried to pay us in order for us to make a payment on the patio so we wouldn't mess up their rating on the Better Business Bereau, the insulation is absolute garbage and makes the enclosed patio into a sauna even with blackout curtains and a 14 seer A/C pumping 24/7, and overall, it looks like a half-ass job. We wished we would have just done it ourselves versus paying this company to build a half-ass enclosed and extended patio.

So we started the process of shopping around for replacement windows last year and interviewed many vendors. we were quoted and listened to many sales people about their products and installations. We narrowed it down to three vendors and brought the sales people back in for a final presentation and quote. Larry Bindel, the owner of First Place Windows, was not only the most thorough but he was also the nicest guy we talked with and he delivered a professional quote. His price was not the lowest but my wife and I liked him and his delivery and we spoke w a few of his customers. We believed and had it proven that Larry really loves his customers and does right by them. Our windows came in when he said they would and the windows were installed from 1:30-6:30 the afternoon we set up. His installers, 2 guys, worked in the heat and did a great job. They laid plastic over everything nearby before they started and then cut the two large windows out and replaced the old with the new. They caulked around the new windows and cleaned up the mess and left. Larry and his son were there also to oversee the job being done. The new windows let no heat in and we cannot even hear our water fountain against the window. The difference is incredible! Silence is golden. Lol. Plus the windows that Larry installs have a much lower bottom window than the other windows we looked at. We liked this because u can see much more. I believe like 85% more.
