The staff is open and friendly, and you have their full attention. They were prompt, they paid attention to my questions and requests, and they were really wonderful about talking and working with me to get me the best of what I needed and what I wanted. Personally, I rather enjoyed that they offered sunglasses to wear during the appointment, as it's much easier and less stressful than dealing with a potential migraine from too much too bright light. The dental hygienist, Susan, is incredibly kind and thorough. Dr. Lubet has more than once happily given a little extra time and work to worrisome trouble spots. All in all, I dropped in on a whim, and found myself being listened to, being worked with, feeling comfortable and accommodated, and actually pretty sure that I'm in good hands. But this review is going to be positive. I have been looking for a good dentist FOREVER! I am scared of dentists, I have problematic teeth which need a lot of work, and the bad experiences in my childhood left some deep scarring in my mind. My fears are not even about the pain, but more about the carelessness of a dentist. I switched a lot, I compared a lot. Bottom line - Dr. Tepe is not only a good dentist from a technical perspective (did a great job on my crown and fillings), but also a great consultant. He listens to you, he talks to you. I have a lot of questions, and unlike some other docs Dr. Tepe had the patience to listen to the end, he NEVER made me feel like my questions are irrelevant or stupid. When I asked about materials used for crown/fillings, he noticed that it was important to me, and explained to me all of the options. Don't get me wrong - he is very efficient and does not carry on endless conversations, but he manages to show that he cares while being straight to the point. I really liked that. During the procedures Dr. Tepe always made me feel comfortable, talking to me, frequently asking me if everything is alright, and explaining what was going on. Maybe I am too needy, but I really appreciate that kind of attention. There are many good dentists in Madison area, they are all technically well schooled and trained and could take on such complicated projects like me. BUT only a few are socially capable of establishing a personal connection of trust with their patients. Dr. Tepe's staff is great as well! Dr. Tepe found himself a new loyal customer!
