Then went back following Monday (same reason) - then back that Thursday - SAME REASON!!! I had the mechanic come to the car, showed him the issue then he said, oh now I know what is needed. UMMM - that should have been apparent on day one but ok. When I picked it up on Friday morning on my way home from the shop, my brake light came on. I went to drive it on Sunday to the shop and I lost my brakes, needless to say I am so beyond upset. I was able with my husbands help to bring it to a shop near my home for repair. I will never go back to this place! For reference, I moved to FL a year ago and this has been the first experience with a shop. I do want to note that Dawn at the desk was quite pleasant, but the shop itself needs a lot of work.

Then they charged me for two hours labor and parts $459.... could have got same work done at Pep Boys for $350. They don't have a window so you can see what the mechanics are doing. They just go in and out of the door, like they really care. A few months ago I took a car that i wanted to drive to Penna to keep it there. I wanted it checked over so it was safe to drive. . I got there but the car left me sit in a snowstorm in the middle of the road...a sensor was bad. They never caught it. My PA mechanic found wires that were not soldered and were starting to burn from exposed metal. Could have caused a fire. I took the wires to them after he spliced it and showed them where they were burned.. they just said "oops sorry". One of the hoses was completely rotted and should have been caught. The initial interaction was spoken with me in Spanish and I had to confirm I called the right place, he couldn't even tell me the name of the business. Then he had that tone that I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm a woman. He started lecturing me on how to find a car shop and why they don't give estimates(which is very odd because most places do that) and the price of the estimate is added into the price they charge(doesn't logically make sense because if you frequently do the service, it's within a price range). From that interaction, I have no confidence in their ability to put their hands on my car. The recommendation I'll take from you is that I definitely take my business elsewhere.

They said, while I don't have to replace them right now, I should consider it in the next couple months. They were quoting me around $1300. I only drive this car about 4k miles a year. I had heard good things about Mavis and decided to drop in on a Saturday to ask them to look at my tires. The manager was able to come outside and look at my tires. He said, yes they have minor cracking but nothing urgent. He asked about how much I drove the car, etc. I also have run flat tires (it came with them) and he said - based on how I drive and how much, that I probably shouldn't replace with the run flats. That I could save some money, also, given how little I drive it. I don't need super high mileage tires, as they'll rot before I wear them out. He said, as much as I'd like to sell you tires right now - I'd be doing you a disservice. I SO APPRECIATED his honesty. I told him when I do need new ones, I'll definitely come back to them. He told me come back in about 6 months so they can check them again. I asked for a ball park on a full set of tires and he told me maybe $800-900. I was just really impressed with their honesty and integrity. I will be taking my car there when it's ready for new tires. They also do all kinds of repairs too. Once I'm outside my warranty, I'd definitely consider them for service.
