Excellent, more than fair service. This is truly the most honest place you can go! I felt so welcome, I literally HAD to bake them cookies. Vaughn is unlike any auto servicer you've ever encountered. He will give you his exact opinion ("To sleep at night.") even if is not to his benefit. I happened to (thankfully) stumble across this place at the recommendation of my car wash servicer. He assured me this was the place to go and I baked him cookies too. There is not a more honest, compassionate mechanic than Vaughn. The wait is always long, and they are constantly busy.... But if there is something wrong with your vehicle take it nowhere else. These guys know their stuff and charge a fraction of what other flakes in the area would. On numerous occasion they never even charged me for a simple repair. Vaughn always has taken care of my family's cars since we moved to the Villages area, and I would trust no one else. Tip - they don't have a receptionist, and they rarely answer when you call, because they are talking face to face with their customer. I am new to the Villages so I had to ask around when all the lights lit up suddenly on my dashboard. Neighbors mentioned Quality Tire and Break repeatedly as being reliable and honest, but still, I didn't know what to expect. I was at the work place for only 5 minutes before a service man diagnosed the problem and made the repairs. He explained that a loose gas tank cover allowed air in the tank which was probably the cause of the problem. He also explained that my make of car has a history of faulty repair signals. I had the pleasure of meeting Vaugh while visiting friends in The Villages, Fl. I was having car issues and they had taken their car to Vaugh and thought I should do the same. After meeting him I quickly realized what the local people already know, he is kind, honest and just an all around good man! He checked out my car and realized he couldn't fix my problem. I appreciated his honesty!! When I went back to pick up my car he refused to charge me for his time! Customer service is not dead! Great friendly service at a very reasonable price. Brought my vehicle in early in the morning and was told he already had more cars than he could repair today, Asked what I needed & I replied "rear brakes", he asked if they were grinding and I said "yes". He then said leave it here and we'll get to it today, he didn't want me driving it like it was. Picked it up later in the day, great job completed, can't say enough. This is the only place I would ever take my vehicles to be worked on. Vaughn is probably one of the nicest guys out there, the prices are always more than fair, and above all else they are honest and do quality work. Had an electrical issue with my defrost/heater fan and these guys were able to solve the issue quickly........the fan motor needed to be replaced. Not being from the area I was unsure where to go but a friend recommended them and he was spot on they did the job quickly for a fair price.... Mike's right. Vaughn is always busy and he's almost impossible to reach by phone, so you need to just go by and talk to him about your car. I've used Lady Lake Quality Tire & Brake since I move to The Villages in 2002. No one is better with cars and no one is fairer or more honest than Vaughn.
