Hear me know friends-believe the hype and good vibes dropped by previous sweet citizens who stopped in for their auto needs. The shop is clean, the staff is friendly and depending on the crowd you can get in and out super quick. My total time in the shop had to be less than 40 minutes, and I enjoyed some friendly banter with the shop owner and a Crane Operator from AL who was getting his truck taken care of in the other bay. Fast Forward a couple of days I I heard some rattling from the undercarriage. I stopped back by and the guys took care of a heat shield that had come lose. A quick spot weld and I was on my way-no charge! These guys are great, you won't be disappointed. I recommend them fully.

They stated that the repair would cost around $1200 and they would look at it first and call me. I received a call about an hour later and they told me that I was just low on break fluid and that was causing my clutch peddle to not engage properly. They filled it up and said No Charge and it was ready to pick up! They could have just put in a new clutch and I would have never known the difference! I will recommend this shop to everyone that will listen. They also rebuilt the transmission in my sons 1967 Suburban and did a great job at a reasonable price! So I called around and landed on this gem of an establishment. I spoke with Wilson on the phone for a bit telling him what was going on with my truck. After picking up my truck from the dealership (the codes were cleared and it was driving fine) I brought it to the Transmission Masters. They looked it over, plugged into the computer and test drove it. Just like I said, nothing was appearing to be wrong while in there so they couldn't tell me anything except keep an eye on it and bring it back if it happens again. This wonderful company charged me $0 vs the dealership charging me $130 for a missed diagnosis. All of the conversations I had with them both over the phone and in person made me trust there abilities to trouble shoot problems, fix vehicles properly and communicate in a professional way like they are treating you as if you were family. I hope I don't have any further transmission problems with my Tundra, if I do though Transmission Masters will be the ones to earn my business. We stopped at an Advanced Auto to get a code and it was one that could mean something serious or something simple, which added stress to our trip. We looked up local auto repair shops when we found Hobb's & Son. They already had great ratings so we thought lets just hope for the best. We quickly learned why they are so liked. Extremely friendly and willing to work us in to make sure we did not have anything serious going on so we could continue our trip without worrying. I am to come back if fails again, but not expected. I value the advice about steps I should take to pass the next test...advice you don't find in the owners manual. I also value the extended hours until 7 pm, M-F. I will return for regular maintenance, and pleased to have an alternative to dealer service that I trust but always the most expensive. That night was coming back and noticed people there so I decided I would go back. Going back did not happen for a couple of days due to work / forgetting about it / etc. Just re-read the second paragraph and you'll know what happened this time. So, not bad service, not good service, not service... I seriously felt both times like I was breaking into the place in the middle of the night. So yeah, if you run a business and leave it, lock the door or put a sign up or something. Can understand once, but twice is getting a bit weird.

THEN I read that that's a no-no and I started stressin about it pretty hard so when I got the funds I looked for a shop nearby and up comes Snider's. I don't have a European car, as their sign states their specialty is, but front desk guy assured me that they can handle my Toyota Hybrid. So I made an appointment for the next week, and came in. Same nice guy at the desk, I told him I'd be waiting on site for the work to be done. They have a big room with nice, old leather couches and a kitchen table and a recliner and aTV for us to sit in while waiting for our cars! So I'm posted up on a claimed couch (the place was all mine, tho) when The mechanic AND the nice front desk guy came out and told me that I didn't need a radiator flush!! And they then when I said I couldn't afford an oil change, they checked the oil said it's OK no need for that to change right now (cuz we couldn't read the oil change sticker.) I told nice front desk guy that I had gotten spooked when trying to change my own oil on my car and he walked me thru what to do to get unspooked. So I can change my own oil again. They just saved me a bunch of cash, and they were so helpful and nice and reassuring! 10/10

I find Snider automotive to be very honest, reliable and affordable. Even when I asked them about working on a specific model of car that they don't normally deal with they referred me to another amazing garage in the same neighborhood who is also very reliable and affordable. My wife and I also had an issue with a stick shift that James gave us a temporary fix until we could make it into the shop to have the appropriate maintenance done on the car. The previous owners of the car that I've taken to Snider automotive I've also been going there for years and are very satisfied. I'm glad they turned me on to this garage in Madison. If you have a Volvo this is the place to go.
