Good food. We've been several times. I've never tried the brunch but the menu items are good. Cute interior!

Great little coffee shop we stopped at on our road trip back to Houston coming from Broken Bow, Ok. Service was nice and coffee was good considering it was just a machine they used. They had a man singing with a guitar too which was nice. Not too busy when we were there but I think it will be grow as the word gets out. Definitely stop in for the live music vibes and good cup o joe! read more

Fantastic Gem in Daingerfield. Check it out ASAP Much more than a coffee shop. Quality meals from sandwiches to entrees. Fair price for great food that is made with care and passion for quality relative to the typical, fried quick service food available on the area. Has a drive thru that isn't as intuitive to find as you would expect. Needs better signage directing customers. read more

Best travel stop I've made in a long time. The food was delicious and portions were huge. Sophia's service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was down home style in a renovated old building. We stopped here for lunch when taking a road trip. We really enjoyed it. Very clean with nice ambiance and design. We had a late lunch so we were the only ones inside, service was great! I ordered the club sandwich. My husband had their fried fish special, and my daughter had a burger. All the food was fresh and flavorful. No complaints. We enjoyed every bite. However, we got coffees to go and discovered that this was the true star of Mug Shots - we drank ours so fast and wished for more! The best food around in Dangerfield and outside of Dangerfield. The prices are right and you get so much food., the only thing that I would change is the sweet tea. It was a little too sweet. I tasted more sugar than I did the team, but other than that everything was perfect. read more

I really should leave two reviews- one for the coffee- which was great! I had the Bonnie and Clyde frozen style. It was cold, sweet and refreshing. I would've given them at least 3 stars for that one.. And one for the food.. I ordered over easy eggs and got hard, dry, fried eggs. My husband ordered sunny side up and got over medium. My thing is don't ask how I want my eggs if you don't know how to cook them correctly. The bacon was good but the waffle was cold and hard. The syrup was ice cold so it wasn't too appetizing to say the least. The service was odd- everything I asked all I got was a "Yes." No further explanations whatsoever. I think part of it is I'm not sure they know what they want to be- a coffee shop, or a hipster restaurant with a limited menu. Next time I'll just skip the food and only get coffee. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Fair coffee. I'm an espresso purist - breve latte every time. No flavoring or sugar. I want to taste the coffee and cream mix. Don't expect to hear the familiar pressurized whine of an espresso machine and steaming milk. Mug Shots uses a push-button style coffee station that might be seen at a high-end convenience store. In Daingerfield, TX this is probably as good as it'll get. read more

We enjoyed having lunch at Mug Shots! The food was very good with good portions. We had the grilled catfish, chicken fried chicken, and boneless chicken and were pleased with all of it. The atmosphere was quaint and clean. It's off the beaten path but worth stopping in for a meal. read more

Driving through town, looking for lunch and map search found this place. So, so, soooo good! I had the sweet, salty and Turkey sandwich which had smoked Turkey, bacon and sweet blueberry jam. Perfection. My husband had the shot- caller, a yummy burger with bacon jam. He finished it off with the sweet Bonnie and Clyde coffee. Atmosphere reminds us of an urban coffee shop though it's in a small town. We love finding local gems on our travels and this is a first rate food and coffee spot. read more

Several of us stopped by and had dinner on a Wed evening. Three of us ordered the catfish and fries. The servings were very generous. We could have shared a meal in fact. All of us really liked the catfish, and the fries were very good. One person had the Blackened chicken and Mac/cheese. She said it was delicious! Ordered a dish that consisted of fried chicken over biscuits, covered with scrambled egg, bacon, sausage and gravy. Definitely in the top 10 breakfast meals I've ever had. Coffee was good. Wonderful brunch on the way through town from Houston. The brunch menu Barn Burger was a 9.5/10 from my husband and teenage sons who have made an art of rating burgers. They have several wonderful sounding burgers and for brunch the one with bacon and a fried egg sitting perfectly on melting cheese was the one. The eggs Benedict was also delicious! read more

I have been Mugshots at least a half dozen time, twice for Sunday brunch, all previous experiences were great, especially brunch. Unfortunately this morning we went for brunch to celebrate a dear friend's birthday, and the food was terrible and the experience not so good. We arrive just before noon before the brunch crowd had arrived, we got our drinks very quickly, the wait staff was wonderful as usual and continue to be very attentive throughout. There were five of us, two eggs Benedict orders, two omelettes all the way and one stack of pancakes blueberry. The food came out on time however they had out of spinach for the omelettes and used Romain lettuce instead of spinach. We sent both on much back expecting a pretty quick turnaround however a large party of 12 or 14 that come in about 10 or 15 minutes after us and the chef did not remake our omelettes for close to an hour. The other three people had finished their breakfasts for at least 30 minutes before ours came out. they may also have run out of pancake batter as the pancakes tasted like cake batter rather than pancake batter. I eventually did complain to the wait staff who was again very attentive and understanding, however no adjustment to our check was made and the chef did not come out to speak with us about the mistakes and the poor quality of food. None of the five of us will go back to mugshots again based on this experience. read more

I went in for a second visit for the great waffles I had on the first visit. After waiting for 25-30 I asked how much longer it would be. I was told it should be anytime. In about 10 more minutes I asked if there was a problem in the kitchen because we had been waiting for over 30 when there was only one other table of people when we arrived. The second time the manager said they were having problems with their waffle iron and did no one tell me, I said no and that was the kind of thing I appreciate knowing. After a little longer I said can I just please have my money back that 40 plus minutes and no food was ridiculous. The manager kept putting me off and then the waffles showed up. So I sat back down to eat and the knife was not cutting the waffle like a bad cut of steak. I went to the counter and said I want my money back because the waffles were burned. Once again the manager said just a minute and went in the back and came out with the owner. The owner said to me in a condescending manner, so what seems to be the problem and I told him that I we have waited over 45 minutes for the waffles and they are burnt, he said it did not look like it to me!!!!! Are you kidding? I was told by the OWNER he could not give me my money back and that it would have to be a gift card. REALLY!!!!!!! So is that how he wants to be treated? I think not!!!! So needless to say I will NEVER go in there again and gave the gift card away. So here is the thing, I really do not know if he even put any money on it. read more
