The place was quiet when I stopped in today, so I was seated and served right away. I ordered the A1 Steak Sauce Burger, and it was absolutely delicious! The fries weren't really my style -- a bit on the thin and crispy side, and I prefer fries with a little chew inside -- but that's just personal preference. My waitress was friendly and attentive, keeping my Dr Pepper topped off the whole time. Overall, a great visit with good service and a tasty burger. My son took me for my first visit to Mugshots. We were very pleased to be seated quickly on a Friday night. As an older woman, I felt out of place, but that's to be expected in a college town. The atmosphere was great, and I loved our raised booth seating. The waitress was very attentive and cordial. We got the Tees Cheese wedges and chose half mozzarella and half pepper jack cheese with marinara and ranch. They were outstanding, and the ranch tasted homemade. For the entrée, my son chose the Mac Daddy burger with fries. He mostly enjoyed the burger but said it was really too much cheese and needed a sauce. The fries were good. The three-star rating is for my food. I ordered the Rajun Cajun pasta. The dish did not come out looking anything like what is pictured on the menu. Although the chicken was moist, it was definitely not blackened. The alfredo sauce was watery and had no taste. There was no Cajun-spiced topping or parsley. It did have a few tomatoes, but not nearly enough. I ordered the dish thinking I was going to get a spicy Cajun punch, but all I got was a tasteless, watery disappointment. I ate some of the noodles and boxed up the rest, as I didn't want to waste it. I enjoyed snacking on the fried cheese and my son's fries instead. Tuesday night, empty restaurant, slow service. It took about 10 minutes before my drink came out. There were, at the time, about 4 people dining. The workers were friendly and the place was clean. On to the food....I had the Cranes salad and when I tell you they only put one small chopped up chicken tender on top of that huge salad, please believe me. The ginger dressing was very tasty but I could never recommend that salad unless you aren't a fan of chicken tenders. My husband had the turkey burger and fries. The fries were served fresh and crunchy and the bun was so pillowy soft and tasty. The turkey patty itself was so thin that the bun completely dwarfed the meat. The cheese wasn't melted, it was just a cold sad slice of cheese. I don't understand the hype but I guess for a sports bar-restaurant it's good enough. read more

Usually food is great, but the air conditioning is too cold and the food always takes awhile to come. But still we decided to try it again. Our waitress today was great, air wasn't as cold as usual and our food came pretty fast. But then I looked down and a cockroach was crawling under our table. I started to look for more and found cobwebs in the corners and layers of dust on the duct vents. Let's do better Mugshots! Get a good deep clean and treat for pests. read more

Good food and service on a busy game day in Starkville. I got the appetizer combo and it was really good.

Good luck getting any service. I've been in multiple times and always have to wait at the front for 10+ minutes while servers walk by multiple times and ignore anyone waiting to be seated. During my most recent trip I tried just getting a to-go order and of course, still had to wait forever for anyone to pay attention. When a server finally came to ask what I was waiting on she told me I had to sign saying I picked up the order. When I told her there wasn't a pen anywhere for me to, she ignored me and walked away. Oh well, my food didn't get signed out ‍ I had ordered the Buffalo Bleu salad and when I get home and checked my order, there was no bleu cheese, tomatoes, or bacon. Literally just a plate full of lettuce and chicken with some shredded cheese thrown on top (doesn't even come on the salad?!) There are better places in town to go. read more

Had the Savell burger along with an appetizer of the southwestern eggrolls. The burger was highly disappointing. The bread was hard as a rock to the point of being inedible. The meat wasn't seasoned and overall the burger was below average. The eggrolls were pretty good but maybe a side of ranch would go better than the sweet chili sauce as an accompaniment. First time at the new location. It is a much better setup than the previous location. I was very tempted with the brunch menu but ultimately settled on a favorite with the Comeback Burger (Hickory Smoked Bacon, Melted Pepper Jack Cheese, Comeback Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato and Onion Ring) and Fries. As at every other location I have been to, the burger was cooked perfectly. The bun really adds to the overall taste IMO. The comeback sauce lives up to the name in making me want to comeback for more. I recommend you ask for extra to go with the fries. Speaking of the fries they are beer battered steak fries and always crispy outside but nice and soft inside. My daughter chose the Middleburger (Mayo, Mustard, Pickles, Red Onion, Lettuce & Tomatoes) with a vegetarian patty substituted. She prefers ranch with her fries. Dad went with the Pat O (Middleburger with melted Cheddar & Swiss Cheese) with Onion Rings. Service was great. Only negative is the parking situation. There is a limited restricted parking lot that is shared with another restaurant. We had issues with the access gate both this visit and when we tried to dine the previous week. When we tried to dine the previous week was told an hour wait but there appeared to be tables available. I understand that staffing plays into that as well but, should anticipate crowds on game day weekends. read more

Took an hour and 20 minutes to get six chicken tenders while sitting at the bar. I had two beers and the chicken tenders and because I was sitting next to some guys at the bar they charge me a 20% gratuity fee, even though I wasn't associated with them. I left my vape at the restaurant. I came back later on that night to get it and the waitress, walked out from the back, saying that her and the kitchen staff didn't hit it as she was wiping off the mouthpiece with her kitchen towel, absolute horrible service. The food was tasty. The staff was friendly. But dang, why is it sssoooo cold inside?!?!? It's Mississippi, it's always hot, so if are complaining it's too cold inside, it's super cold! First, I'm a frequent customer. Second, I found out tonight, after I ordered curbside, they weren't really doing curbside. I had no way of knowing. I also found out that if you push the button on the Mugshots site, to let them know you've arrived to pick up your order, they don't know, so you have to call them; another unknown variable. One of their two curbside spots is usually occupied by the manager's car. That's an awesome "customer first" attitude! Let the customers walk across the street. A "manager" shouldn't have to. Then, the fried mushrooms were a potpourri of shrooms, onions, and pickles. Plus, the mushrooms were the size of a small apple, not bite sized. The "wangs" we're horrible. The skin had the consistency of silicone and they were pitifully cooked. So, I paid for the appetizer combo, ate my cheese wedges, ate the three mushrooms that were bite sized, hence, cooked, and took one bite of an undercooked wing. Mugshots, stick to burgers. And, if someone orders a hamburger steak w/no gravy due to diet restrictions, do t make them scrape gravy off when they get home. And, if you manage ANY place, and think you're too good to walk across the street, let the customers walk, then maybe you should be in charge of cooking fries. I ordered a glass of wine while I was waiting for the rest of my party to arrive. When it finally came, there was less than 2 ounces poured and the wine glass was filthy. I asked the server and she said their pours are not good and there was nothing she could do. I sent it back and walked out. I have been here several times the past couple of years and this was probably the last. Please clean your restaurant and train your staff on proper drink pours and customer service. read more

I ordered a burger from the Starkville, MS location. It was very dry and bland. There was no flavor whatsoever. It also was supposed to come with pimento cheese on it but it didn't have it. The only good thing I received was the fried pickles. I am really shocked at how bad my experience was having eaten at this location prior and I enjoyed it at that time. read more

In town for business trip. Staying at the Courtyard just two blocks from this cute bar/pub/restaurant. Looks good- walked in, no greeter at the hostess station. No problem. I'm solo so I walk into the bar. One guy looking over a menu and drinking a beverage so I sit down. The bartender walks into and out of the backside of the bar twice to grab beers and walk them to customers at tables. She looks at me as she gives a server a beer to deliver into the restaurant. I wait 5 minutes as she returns, then walks into the kitchen never engaging me, asking if I wanted a menu, a beer, or anything. I got up and walked back to the hostess station- still vacant. So I walked out. With service like that, this place is at the least hemorrhaging money- at worst, will be a vacant building shortly. read more

Really hate to write this review b/c we want to love it here. For the past few years, we come for a special occasion and remember why we don't come often. There is NEVER anyone at the podium waiting to sit people. And if employees do rarely happen to come by, they just ignore you and seem to be miserable working there. My husband waited at least 10 minutes to be seated last time. This was not a busy time, about 2pm. Had to wait for a waiter/waitress to come by to get our drink order. Philly wrap was not good and fries tasted old. Chips and queso were not like we thought they would be according to the description. I love the philly sandwich, which is why I keep coming back. I recommend not using the hand-held devices. It takes away from the experience. We asked for napkins before touching the hand held device so we could use it. Overall, I don't think we'll be back. It costs too much not to have a good experience multiple times. read more

I've been coming to this place for a while now and it has the best burgers and onion rings . The fries are great too but I just feel as if they are too salty ( to me.) Overall this place is great and has a decent wait time . I prefer sitting outside . If you want any beer and burgers this is definitely the place to come ! read more

I stood in the front for about 5-10 minutes before I was greeted as employees walked passed doing absolutely nothing besides conversing with each other. The awful part about it is The food was definitely not worth the wait. Fix the Texan burger please??? I was so disappointed when I finally worked up the nerve to try it. The fried opinions on there were somehow burnt and soggy at the same time. They burger was also burnt and very dry. They only put like 2 jalapeños on my burger and the rest was also disappointing. The picture on the menu looked so good but when it came out it looked nothing like what they advertised and it tasted even worse than it looked. Disappointed.
