Stopped there while cycling the Natchez Trace and had a good, well-deserved meal. Ordered the chicken fried steak with a baked potato and the salad bar. The place is very close to the Trace which makes it a good stop for cyclists since there are very few restaurants along the route. There is also a Piggly Wiggly Supermarket close by where you can stock up on supplies. read more

I was traveling the Natchez Trace and stopped by this highly recommended roadside cafe. It's only a half-mile off the Natchez Trace which made it a great option. The service may have been a bit slow however the outstanding food made up for it. I have the shaved steak sandwich with fries and a bowl of gravy and it did not disappoint! It took me back to my childhood to one of our families favorite spots in North Louisiana. Highly recommend! read more

This is a roadside diner. It fits that niche well. The food is cheap, and it's not a Michelin star winner. It serves to feed the people of the small town it's in, and man does it do that job. The place is dated. It's an old building. You bring your ticket up to the front when you're done eating and pay someone sitting at a little counter. There is no alcohol here, it's in a dry county. You can get tea or soda. They have a DIY salad bar, a side you get with some orders. The star of this place is the Trace-Way burger. A 1/4lb burger, fully dressed burger with a side of fries. It's a healthy portion for anyone. All for the low price of $5. Cheaper than a subway footlong, and better than it too. The fries are always cooked just right. They offer a bunch of home cooking too. They serve livers if you're into that. They have hamburger steaks that are awesome and smothered in onions and gravy. Overall, this is a diner. And a good one. This diner represents what we all want. This place has been a staple in my life growing up. And continues to be one of the best burgers I've eaten in my life and travels. It's just a small town diner, but the food is great. It's a little on the greased side, but can't beat the taste and home town feel. Also, one of the cheapest meals you'll find. I make a point to come up here at least once when I'm back visiting. Tuesday nights try serve breakfast for dinner, and Friday is always a great place to find some good fried fish. read more

Been here years ago, when plates were 3.99, now 5.99. Same servings but the quality of the food has gone down so much. If the dining room is filthy, can you imagine what the kitchen area looks like? My daughter and I went in after my doctor appointment. We sat down and waited at least 10 minutes before my daughter went up to the counter and asked if I give my order at the counter or will a waitress take our order? The man behind the counter gave her 2 menus. She brought the menus and proceeded to get my order, then the man behind the counter came to our table to take our drink order. Fish plate over cooked but hot; neither burger was made correctly and both are cold with side of fries only half a bag of fries with each order.
