The driveway entrance can be a little tricky to spot but once you are in there is lots of parking available. The employees at Weatherbee Nursery are very knowledgeable and helpful. Frequently at check out they will have great tips for the best ways to keep your plants thriving. I really appreciate the knowledge and kindness they show to us. The nursery itself is quite large and they have lots of native trees, shrubs, fruit trees, cover crops, flowers, herbs and veggies. Off to the left side when you checkout they have soils and fertilizers to help keep your plants thriving. The prices are a good value as well I've found. I'll certainly be back to Weatherbee Nursery. Great people, great plants and great service.

We were to get our delivery on a Friday afternoon. We decided to head out there to the plant and get some compost to go with our impending mulch delivery. We had problems finding the plant and gave them a call, Taylor was very helpful. She got us to the right spot. When we got there there were no signs or directions. We saw a guy ahead of us his name was Lamoine. After asking us why we were there we told him we were looking for compost. He told us to go over to the white truck. We had to pull off to the side before loading to get our bed emptied. Lamoine took great offense apparently that we didn't immediately fill our truck bed filled with ropes, bungies, chains and other items with the compost making one hell of a mess. Even when we informed him of our oulling over to the side where other vehicles were parked to get the bed cleaned out for the mulch he had such an attitude I found my fiancé getting gruff with him, something he doesn't do. It got to the point we had to call Taylor in the front office again who was very apologetic for his behavior and sent out mikes son to talk to him. Even the guy loading the compost had to apologize to us for his behavior. Apparently he is an acquired taste. Overall the price was good ($180 for 7 cubic feet) but the shipping was expensive ($100, Home Depot charges $70 with unlimited quantity) We did not get the original order of mulch but they are supposed to bring it in a few days. They accidentally brought us 7cu feet of compost instead The service by the delivery folks was great. The service from this guy Lamoine was less than desirable. He really shouldn't be in a customer facing position. I wanted to give this a 3 star review but given everyone but one guy was fine and when they made a mistake they fixed it without issue. It deserved a 4 star.

Poor costumer service and sick plants have changed my mind about Giverny Gardens…read more I moved here about 2 years ago and have used this nursery for all my soil and potting needs. I don't often buy full-grown plants, but decided to treat myself to a cute English ivy. I brought it home, kept it isolated while it adapted to my place, and within two days the plant was teeming with spider mites. I threw it out and figured it happens sometimes, but went back to Giverny about a month later to buy the same plant along with some other goods. Again, I kept it quarantined from my other plants and, again, spider mites erupted within days. Before tossing the plant, I called Giverny to explain this English ivy issue and asked if I could get a refund or store credit. The woman on the phone was curt and rude, telling me that my home was the source of the problem and she would not issue a refund or credit of any kind. I reemphasized to her that both times I brought home a plant from her store, I kept it isolated from my indoor plants. Heck, the last time I dealt with this infection was years before I moved to Florida! But she said it wasn't possible it was Giverny's fault, blamed my home AGAIN, and that she wouldn't remedy anything. It's just dumb considering I've spent probably $500+ at this store over 2 years and she went on the offensive over a $10 plant. It's a headache dealing with spider mites, and it was ridiculous she wouldn't oblige me for a disease her store sent home with my plant. Nurseries get infections--I've been gardening for 11+ years and seen some gnarly places. As beautiful as the plants at Giverny look, I doubt I'm the first person to buy an infected plant from them. Hopefully the woman I spoke with reads this settles down and learns how to communicate with wronged customers--especially loyal ones. I've been shopping at Amelia's Smartyplants since and highly recommend.

Alex helped us select the perfect bamboo for our specific application and we knew from the first few seconds that we were in expert hands. Last year's tree was so fresh I had to water it almost every day and the needles stayed green with very little needles dropping for close to a month! Unfortunately, this year's tree was the opposite. I checked the water daily but the tree took almost no water in. It started dropping needles within the week. Next year we will try here again, but perhaps earlier to get a fresher tree.
