Tucked next to the Becks and out of sight off of Westheimer, it's a small classy dive bar with a cool owner in Louie and some nice bartenders. As you walk in, you'll be greeted by the 70's/80's/90's bar music of rock/disco and chessboard floor pattern. Then you get your drink order from one of the many pleasant bartenders (or Louie) and sit either inside or outside and think to yourself you're the luckiest person in the world. So they specialize in three things: cocktails/liquors, cigars, and patio seating. When you combine all three of those, it's the perfect bar. Cocktails such as ol fashions and cape cods are plentiful here. I also appreciate they do a new york sour here which is an underrated cocktail. Cigars are sold here too and they have cutters and plenty of torch lighters to spark them up. Outside on their patio deck has plenty of seating with some of those heaters in case you houstonians can't handle the cold. Only gripe is I wish they had a larger wine selection as they only have bordeuax or a red blend. Not sure if they serve white wines either. But there's wine bars for that. We always enjoy our visits here, which don't happen often enough. There is a small parking lot which we tend to be lucky in getting the last spot every visit. Theres a beautiful patio and a small amount of seating inside. The bartenders are always super friendly and welcoming. Every cocktail has been crafted expertly and is perfection. Cool, intimate bar. Much smaller than what I envisioned however, it serves it's purpose. We ordered a couple of drinks, Long Island iced tea and what I think was called Dirty Down South or something like that lol. Greatest aspect of this spot is the outdoor seating area. The drinks were good and the patio is nice, but we came in with a small puppy in a crate on the patio and they told us we were not allowed to have pets on premises. Now, the sole reason we came here was the pets friendly tag on Apple and Google Maps. So they should maybe clear that up with Apple and Google and get the "Pets Welcome" tag removed. read more

I lived next door and took my dog for a walk, and I wanted a drink, so I came in. My first impression was a man making the STOP sign and saying "WE DONT'T ALLOW DOGS IN THE WHOLE PREMISES!" in a very RUDE way!!!! Ok... This is my first time bringing my dog here, but there are ways to express your rules; which I respect. But, I would appreciate a more friendly way of saying, " you and your dog can walk back home because you're not welcome here", or at least, that's how I felt it. My bf & I have been coming here for like 2 1/2 years now. They have really nice drinks/ tasteful drinks. Every time my boyfriend wants a really good old fashion we come here. We do not come here all the time because the prices but I do believe their drinks are quality drinks. The manager Louie is amazing! We came for the first time in like 6 months & he still remembers us & what we ordered. Great hospitality. The inside is small; has a bar along the inside with like maybe 5-6 tables. I kind of didn't want to write a review for this place. It's one of my favorites little getaways and well kept secrets. Tucked away next to Beck's Prime, is a chill spot for the perfect quiet night. Nestled beneath the might oak canopy and lights, sits a small bar unassuming bar with a lovely soft lit patio. While I myself, am not an aficionado of spirits, my friend is. They have a nice selections. There are a few bar seats and tables available, but otherwise the seating is mostly outside, which is okay because of their gorgeous patio. Excellent spot for a night cap. The bartender Louie is very friendly and knowledgeable about his spirits. Nothing but great experiences, and I'll return again and again. read more

My spot to hide and sip on Old Fashion cocktails. Leo is the top mixologist in the area. Great back area patio and small interior to sit inside. This is more of an industry hang out. I used to think this was a bad thing. Its a big win though because everyone here understands personal service. I will continue to go here every chance I get. Nice patio, tiny bar that fills up quick. Zero TVs (Which I like) good old fashions and cocktails in general. This place has been around a long time and has been a consistent low key spot. Location is great, great staff. I think it's better to come here with friends because of the small bar. This place reminds of somewhere only locals would know about for some reason even though it's no secret. I really enjoyed this very interesting place. It has a great patio and ambiance to it among the old oak trees. The drinks are great, but it is a small bar with little parking. However, I believe almost everyone will enjoy their time there, especially on the patio. Louie has been there for a long time and is very accommodating with making drinks not on the menu. There is no food there but you can purchase food from the restaurant next door and bring it over. read more

Muldoon's the Patio is tucked away on the corner of Westheimer and Augusta next to Beck's Prime. It's a small bar with only a handful of parking spots so it's easy to miss. It's a hidden gem. I came in on a Saturday night with a couple friends. The inside isn't very large. It's narrow but there are several table tops where you can sit. I went with one of their craft cocktails and it was great. Service was friendly. The best part is their nice patio. It was a little too chilly while we were there so we stayed indoors but I'll have to return when the weather's nice. read more

I've frequented here a few times and don't really have any complaints nor anything to rave about except that I can see why everybody seems to find here a comfortable bar when the whether is nice and you can sit under the tree. My favorite thing to order here is the Blue Moon because the bartender has the decency to place an orange wedge in the bottle whilst it seems that everybody else do not practice this or just don't have the citrus delight. Was not expensive here I think it was maybe $4 for the Blue Moon. I came here a few months ago when it was a little chilly outside and they had the outside heaters on, the one that stand about 8 feet in the air fed by propane. Inside, noisy! But it's a bar but just that the layout of the floor and walls have everything one says inside seem to bounce off everywhere and amplify. Bartender was pretty friendly, helpful and wasn't snobbish about anything I ordered. Wish they had food here. read more

I am a regular due to the fact that I live in the area. Typically, Muldoon's has a great atmosphere with satisfying music. It is a great neighborhood bar. Louie and his co-tender are always exceptionally nice and charming. However, I went there today and had a terrible experience with one of the bartenders. She seemed new; I made this assumption based on the fact that I have not seen her working there before. She was a bit snobbish when I asked if Louie would be working after I realized she had a terrible disposition and poor attitude. I left immediately without getting her name. I called to ask for names but no one answered the phone. I'll be back but from now on, I would ONLY recommend Louie! He's a great guy who understands the service industry very well. read more

The place has a nice patio but is not pet friendly. The server was nice about it and I have nothing bad to say about him, it's not his choice. But owner should reconsider the decision to not allow well-behaved pets on that large patio. Until then, I won't be back. read more

Came here for a drink and cigar, left with a new favorite bar. First things first, Louie is THE FREAKING MAN. So I came here to kill some time with a cigar and drink. Upon arriving Louie greeted me and I told him exactly that. Starting off he actually recommended another cigar lounge where I can explore a bigger variety of options for cheaper. I truly appreciate someone that doesn't want to price gouge me as they do serve cigars there, but are pricey. Not only that, he said first round of drinks is on him! So I did exactly that, grabbed a few cigars, and came back to enjoy them with a drink. It was a warm but semi-overcast breezy day so perfect day to enjoy the outside. I was in the mood for something refreshing so I asked for a Moscow mule. Louie actually ended up recommending me try his very own drink called the Dirty South Side (something along those lines). That was fire! I enjoyed that drink so much I literally let him pick the next 3 drinks for me. No clue what they were called or what was in them, but NONE of them disappointed. Great little hidden gem that I frequent when I'm in Houston. I hate to tell others about this place because it is a very laid back setting where you can enjoy a cigar and a cold beer amongst friends. This bar is located off of a Augusta and Westheimer Rd. I was actually quite surprised that this bar was empty on a Sunday night. It's a pretty small bar with the small parking lot. Small enough where I feel like I can put my bedroom furniture in there. This was around 8 o'clock that I went and it was completely empty. The only people that were there was my friend and I. And he was there before I even got there. By the time we left three people came into the bar and that was about it. Not the bartender was a young lady with short hair and brunette and she was really nice constantly checking on us to make sure if we had everything we needed and were okay. I felt bad because it wasn't much business for her. I didn't really care for the drinks too much with the flavors however I guess it was okay. I would have preferred a frozen margarita however they don't have frozen drinks and no sangrias. There was a drink menu that was very small and some of it was written up on a chalkboard.
