Glad to see The Gannett Grill and Lander Bar so busy on a Friday night. I also tried to get into Cowfish first, and was shut down...dining room and bar......all full. I found 1 seat at the bar at Lander Bar. I sat there for 10 mins before the bartender decided to serve someone at the bar, rather than all their bro-brahs walking up every minute. I was not aware you can now order food at the bar. Dude never told me. Found out after I went over to Gannett Grill, and ordered a 12" Dinwoody Pizza...Grilled chicken, mushrooms, red onions, fresh mozzarella, pesto. Was told it would be an hour. No worries. Sat at the bar. The pizza came quicker. Cool. The pizza was affordable, but pretty lame. Not much fresh mozz, small diced dry chicken, and too much pesto on dough prior. Pizza dough was def frozen dough. Dry as... Bummer. $17.50 for 12".

This is combined with Lander Bar, but you walk into one for drinks and the other for the food. I picked Gannet Grill for the review though. This seemed like a nice little spot to try on a motorcycle ride and was definitely Yelp worthy! And they had two of my favorite things... pizza and REALLY GOOD BEER! Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the beer, but it was a rye beer and was bold, smokey and smooth! Great cook on the burger, flavor was on point! Sweet potato fries were a great compliment with the tangy flavor of the bleu cheese and rye beer. Pizza crust was definitely a wonderful crispness, and held the toppings the way a pizza should. If you happen to be on the way to Yellowstone National Park/Grand Tetons, make this a stop. Very busy place and plenty of room. Even an upstairs dining area. The servers were definitely running around getting food out, there was no slacking here! When you have a crew like this, treat them right and keep them!

I want to give this place 3.5 stars, but can't. Hubby and I both ordered the black and blue burger. They definitely were cooked rare, as ordered the meat had more white (fat, connective tissue ??) than mort burgers. I will say the flavor was good and it wasn't super greasy but the meat just didn't look the leanest.. The grilled onions were pretty much still raw. I had barely any blue cheese on mine. The sweet potato fries were delicious. Some of the best that I've ever had. Then it bothered our stomachs the rest of the evening. Just making us belch. So I wouldn't go back, simply because the burger kept coming back all evening! The inside and outside eating area were nice. I do think the outdoor space would be nice to hang at for some food and drinks on a nice summer night.

First time here Doors are open so a lot of FLIES! Cute bar grill with pizza. Ambiance. Little western feel. Service.. slow took awhile for someone to come to register to take our order Drink machine splitter all over me. Food.... Normally salad nothing great about it. Pizza is awesome Pizza was worth the 2 hour ride from Rawlins Wy

This place looks like your standard "Burgers n' Brews!" tourist trap. Don't be fooled like I almost was. It's not that at all! It has some of the best burgers I've ever had, same goes for the fries. It's also got super-fresh, locally-brewed beer. And it also has a spectacular beer garden where you can eat and drink. Really couldn't ask for anything more. If we had place like this in Anchorage, I would go at least once a week!

I live in Lander and I have been to the Gannett multiple times. The food is good enough that I keep coming back, which is why this review js a 3 and not a 1. I have always enjoyed the meals I have and the atmosphere is super great, but I do have to say that the service at this place is piss poor. When you walk into a place where the food is priced as high as this place is, you expect the food to be as good as the service. Unfortunately this is not the case at the Gannett Grill. I have had crappy service more times than I've had stellar service and it just makes me sad. I will keep coming back because the food is tasty but I just wish the people were friendlier and more concerned about their customer service.

Favorite place in the west. I absolutely love this shop, far better than any NYC salad bar I have been to. (I lived there for 8 years.)

Well, if you are one of the coastal elite who have invaded the cowboy town that I've spent summers…read morein for over 50 years, you might like this place, otherwise, steer clear of it. On the positive side, their outside dining space is delightful. Shady, tree filled and charming. If you simply want a place for a coffee and a chat - enjoy! Now to the food. The menu seems overthought from the get go. Constant references to local, housemade etc. It tries to sell a certain experience but completely fails to deliver. My mom and I both opted for a simple grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato bisque soup. Soup was solid if on the salty side. I almost have no words for how bad the simple grilled cheese was. No butter or oil of any kind on outside of sandwich. Cheese on inside was a slice of provolone and some scattered cheddar. Not even melted through. Tasted more like stale bread than grilled in anyway. Vessel for soup had such a small top opening that it was impossible to dip without cutting the sandwich beyond halves. (Isn't dipping what you order grilled cheese and tomato soup to do?) Water was never refilled at table despite two requests when they came by to refill coffee. My friends had a quinoa bowl with poached egg on top and the other a simple cheeseburger. Neither even finished half which tells me a lot. The friend who ordered a cheeseburger decided to try their "signature " sautéed spinach instead of fries as a side. His spinach side could have fit into a teaspoon. This place might appeal to the NOLA/girls with unshaven armpits crowd but for honest, hungry people- walk away. It's just a very bad presentation of cali style casual cuisine. BTW, four of us. Two grilled cheese/cup of tomato soup plates, two coffees, one quinoa bowl and one cheeseburger with a teaspoon of spinach- 100+ Unbelievable. The more I see all the gentrification of californication of Lander, the more I hate it and unfortunately, the Middle Fork pretty much sums up what is wrong with Lander's "emerging " food scene.

I previously reviewed this restaurant and loved it. Visited today and ordered the exact same…read morebreakfast featured in my earlier review (2 eggs to order). It was awful. Potatoes were burnt, scrambled eggs overdone and rubbery, spinach slimy and greasy. If that's still "locally sourced" bacon they should save themselves some money and go to Safeway. Solidly underwhelming experience. Will not be returning.

$63.30 (food - crab & corn toast, lobster bucatini. drink - Tall in the Saddle) Mulino monologue:…read more During my time in Lander, I wanted to celebrate something special at a special place. I came across Mulino and really enjoyed the information I read on their webpage (this really is a family restaurant), checked the spot out and fell in love with the open kitchen concept, the interior placement of the decor and outdoor dining option. I decided, at that moment, that this was going to be the place to celebrate! I was accompanied by 11 friends. Yup, we made an evening out of it. We sat outside and indulged in drinks - adult and kid friendly beverages, although there were no kids with us - Italian cuisine, storytelling and laughter. It was a great atmosphere and great weather for all of that. The drink and dishes that I consumed were items I never tried before. (See above for my order). So, I figured today was the day to experiment. The concept of the toast I enjoyed more than the actual item. Personal preference issue: It came out hot, which was great. I like toast, but not well done toasted bread. It was like eating a big crouton that was submerged in a dipping spread. I had to use my knife and fork to create pieces to eat. Because it was so large and hard, there were crumbs jumping everywhere. Maybe I needed a finely sharpened surgical knife for clean, precision cutting. The spread cooled quickly, which was to be expected after all the work I had to go through just to get one bite. I liked the spread better when it was hot. I think that if the spread was created and served in a cast iron dish, with a side of "croutons" to dip in it, that would have been better suited for this concept. The lobster buccatini, well, again, a personal preference issue: The sauce was tasty, the noodles were fun, the peas were, well, peas (you either like them or you don't) and I do love microgreens. I have no suggestion for what could have been done differently here; it was good, but one time was enough for me. Like I said, I just wanted to try something different. And different I did...in Lander, Wy! Oh and the drink was tasty. In all, the experience was enjoyed by all. Definitely an upgraded, large city type atmospheric restaurant, compared to what Lander has to offer (or not offer). P.S. - If you are interested in reserving space for a large party, when the restaurant opens, know that you may get some pushback (The reason for the 3 stars). If we were sitting at an open air restaurant right now, enjoying a nice brunch surrounded by people in cute brunch outfits, I would give you all the details. But in the end, it all worked out (but not before I took some deep breaths, and vented to a few folks to make sure I wasn't the crazy one. I even had to call my mother on this one. Sheesh!)

Large craft beer menu, Crimson Keep whiskey barrel aged was perfect. I came here thinking spaghetti and meatball, my Olive G fav. But I went all in on the short rib pasta. What?
