I contacted Larry through Yelp, and he was very responsive. He came out a few hours later to give.me.an estimate. The price was fair and he seemed reliable, so I hired him to do the work in 3 or 4 days. Due to weather and scheduling other projects, he actually came out just 2 days later. It was fantastic to drive up to my house and see a brand-new gate. Larry and his assistant were finishing up with the post. They had to remove a patch of concrete, then pour new concrete. The new post is very sturdy. Both of them were polite and friendly. Larry said he prefers cash or cashier's checks for payment. Based on this job, I highly recommend Heartland.

I did a quote just for materials on my own and it was $15,000.. I've done the job before so I know what it takes and I can understand trying to make some money but don't try to retire off of me. EDIT: the owner called and attacked me over this review. They have a very "everyone else is the problem" attitude. They take their name too literal and try to be their customers' "BOSS". Go somewhere else. She called and said: "Last year I had family health issues and its been hard! how dare you try to hurt our business with a 1 star review!". At that, I stopped her and said: "look I'm sorry that happened but I'm not going to deal with this" she then said: "whatever jerk!" and hung up.. I'm still sorry that happened to you but you're out of line. my fence quote was for my large yard. 2300 feet of vynal fence (I left my OnX overhead picture that I outlined the fence location and provided to them before the quote). My property is 13 acres and appx 2.5 of it is actual yard. I specifically said I didnt want fence in my woods but instead along my woods line (where it looks like the lines are in the "woods" it's just tree tops with yard underneath.. why would you want fence in your woods??). 56 grand would make more sense for all 13 acres.. if you mis-quoted for all 13 acres, then let me know and we can work it out so I can take this down.

We were told after the materials come in, usually about 30 day, they call and schedule the date for the installation of your fence. We were told Jamie was confident that we could achieve this whole process by September 9th, 2023. This was the date we discussed with all vendors because my husband had a business trip and my disability often prevents me from walking the dogs several times daily. So as 30 day date arrives when materials should be arriving, we hear nothing. So my husband tried to contact her at least 3 times by phones, he was able to leave one voicemail, thereafter the mailbox was full. Prior to calling her he had had also wrote her an email, which was not returned. I arrived at idea whereby I might be able to speak to the owner after failure to contact after multiple attempts. I called as a new customer with my maiden name requesting a quote for a fence. I believe it was less than 36 hours until my call was returned. I confessed almost immediately that we had already ordered and paid for our fence and that I felt like she was dodging our calls. She stated that she could not believe that I was wasting her time. I asked why she had not returned our calls or emails, she said all her focus is on bringing in new business. I asked how she planned on delivering products and installation if she couldn't even be bothered to answer the phone. At this point she began giving me all the excuses I am now reading in the complaints above mine...product delays, trouble finding help, illness in family. Now she is really angry and sarcastic; saying I am trying to ruin her business, hurt her family and abruptly hangs up on me. So I wrote a review, during which time she called me back. So at first she apologies for flying off the handle, stating that she has really just had a hard year. I told her I can understand, it has been a lot for everyone. However, when I tried to get back to the subject of money VS fence, she couldn't participate in this conversation anymore. I let her know that I had no choice to open a case for dispute of the charges with my original form of payment. She was furious and said, "well good luck with that". Shortly thereafter she sent my husband an "excuse" email. She did not offer any information regarding our money, our fence, possible installation date. However, she did evacuate her business address, shut down her website and is unreachable by phone. Please don't repeat our mistakes, pay for goods and services after you receive them.

Issue #1: They forgot to concrete in 3 posts. Issue#2: They damaged a panel when they were installing it, they noticed this and then proceeded to turn the panel the other direction facing my neighbors house so that we wouldn't notice. My neighbor witnessed them do this. Issue#3 The gate latch ripped completely off of the gate week 1. Issue#4 The gate installed at the back of our yard was not installed properly and would only open about 6 inches. Our fence is now almost 3 years old. The vinyl fencing has many cracks. The company claims that this is normal and to be expected.
