Contacted this company when looking to replace a center-hinged patio door unit. New exactly what we wanted and met with the "sales guy" on July 9, 2024. Wrote the spec, did the paperwork, wrote a check for 50% of the contract and was told 7-8 weeks. One week later, July 17, a guy comes out to measure. Told us 8-10 weeks. When the door was received and we were contacted we were told the install date would be the afternoon of October 8. We got a call just before Noon on the 8th and were told the install could not be undertaken that day. We arranged for the install to be done on October 10th. On the 10th the installers arrived that morning and took less then 2 hours to do the install. I gave them a check for the balance of the agreed upon amount but the screen door was not delivered or installed. There were three other hiccups, all three of which I took care of personally and notified the office of the issues and the fact that the screen door was not delivered or installed. On October 17th I called the office to complain about not having heard anything about the screen door. The next day, October 18, someone came out to "have a look" at the situation. The next morning he returned with the screen door but could not install it because he did not have the track that goes across the top of the door. "We will have to order it." Did not hear anything further so on November 1st I called the office to complain and was told they'd have to order it and they'd have it by Monday. Next contact was a voicemail at 5:44 PM on November 13 looking to schedule the installation of the door. Replied by text at 6:10PM saying Thursday November 14 late afternoon or Friday morning November 15 would be fine. Got a reply text at 6:15 PM saying they would be here "Friday morning between 8:30 - 9:30 AM." Friday morning at 10:00 AM I texted asking where they were, no response, so at 10:07 AM I called the office. At 10:24 AM I received a text saying the install person had needed to run a missing door up to another job in Carmel that had not been loaded onto the truck for that job. The installer that had done the original install arrived around 1:30 in the afternoon and installed the screen door that had been on my patio since October 19th. 18-1/2 weeks! Here's the bottom line. This company, Window Man Inc., is not well managed (sorry, but it's NOT). We love our door, but waiting much too long to get it and then not being able to take advantage of one of the most beautiful Fall seasons we've seen here in Indiana for year and years because of the lack of a screen door is just too much to take. The lack of communications amongst the employees and with the CUSTOMER, lack of proper work instructions for the crews, attention to detail and quality control overall, all spell disaster. Hello yelp lovers! This review is for window man. I had shopped around for basement windows and I decided on window man. They were installed today. They look spectacular!!! From the first few times I had called the office. The ladies were well informed and very nice. The salesman..ryan..was laid back, answered all of my questions, measured, showed me their line of windows and I signed the contract. Adam the installer he is a quality stand up guy. That I really liked about him. He was very nice & explained the process from start to finish. He was excellent about cleaning up! There was alot of work involved for 5 windows & 1 man! The windows look sensational. They not only look magnificent but have changed the look of my basement. My roommate rusty loves the Xtra sunlight too! Rusty is my 21 pound cat. Going on 13 August 4th. Anyway I made a new friend in Adam window man's premium super installer! Adam definitely has the gift!!!! Thank you adam!!!! You made my day!! read more

These guys are awesome! Our sales rep Ben came out and gave us a quote that was half the price of another quote we had gotten from a major window company . He was extremely helpful in going through the options with us . We were so excited with the deal we got on our windows , that we asked him to come back out and quote us for new doors and he was more than happy to help . The owner of the business , Rance, came out and personally measured our windows and doors just to make sure that they got the perfect fit. He was also extremely friendly and made sure that we knew they were going to make everything look perfect. I cannot reccomend doing business with Ben, Rance and Window Man enough. Regardless of whether you haven't gotten any quotes or have already got a hundred, you need to call them and set up a sales appointment before you purchase anywhere else! read more

What horrible customer service. I had an appointment for an estimate today at 1:00 pm. By 1:15 no one had showed up, so I called the office. A woman answered and she called the person who was supposed to be out at my home. He stated he did not have it on his schedule and just off the top of his head quoted me for the one window, without seeing it. Anyway, the called the business back and told them what I thought about this and asked to speak with the owner/manager, and she said she was. She stated that the person that took the call was new and did not follow the appropriate procedures when it comes to one window only. I informed her that her company was unprofessional. We hired Window Man to replace all of the windows in our house in 2 batchs, half in the spring and half in the fall. We chose them over several other companies because their rep (who has since left the company) was relaxed and not pushy. Both the rep and the installer who measured the windows listened to everything we wanted and assured us they could do the job and would fix anything we weren't happy with. We even had windows already done the way we wanted in a house across the street so they saw exactly what we wanted and agreed to do our new windows the same way. When they arrived to install the windows it was only a single guy, the guy who had measured the windows. So he knows what we want but how is a single guy going to install a large, heavy 3 section picture window? As it turned out not very well. Here's what went wrong: 1. He chipped our concrete window sill putting in the picture window. A big 1 inch chunk that can't be repaired. He didn't bother to mention this. I wonder what damage this did to the window frame. 2. He did not remove the aluminum framing from the storm windows. They said they would do this but instead covered it with ugly vinyl boxed molding. (later we had the remaining windows done by window world and they removed the framing on the remaining windows no problem and they look great. We wanted to pay to git the original framing removed but was told it was too late to fix this mistake due to how Window Man had covered the framing hoping that we wouldn't notice they hadn't removed it). 3. He did not use the spacers provided with the windows. So the sections of our picture windows do not allign smoothly and the divider strip doesn't sit properly. (We paid window world to fix this and apply a new flat strip rather than the bulking block strip Window Man used to hid the misaligned windows becase they didn't use the installation kit provided with the windows. ). 4. he did not wrap the window seal an inch around the frame. we caught this on the first window but he didn't replace it. so it is wrong but the rest are correct. 5. he used firring strips on the inside window trim even though we had requested and he had agreed to put rounded moulding. the strips he put in bulged and looked awful. (We paid someone to pull this out and redo it correctly and with the wood we requested) 6. He did not tool the caulk around the windows. The caulking looked very amaturish and was different widths and thicknesses. All it needed was to be tooled. (we had to pay someone else to strip and redo the caulking correctly). 7. When we pointed out things he was doing wrongly, he would correct them but started complaining. And complained often that the job was taking way longer than other jobs and he and the company were losing money. I don't think they was likely. they were not the cheapest and we are talking about doing a job properly and as they agreed. they set the price. 8. he began rushing the job as the day went on and you could see the quality of the work begin to suffer. 9. They installed half-window screens. The rep admitted this was his mistake and they ordered the full screens. The quality of the screens was not very good. they sag and don't fit snugly. The joins are poorly made and unaligned. 10. they left bits of aluminum and broken glass around the house that we had to clean up after they left. 11. they were supposed to do the whole house but backed out after doing half. So we had to find another company to complete the jobs and the windows don't match. We hired Window World to complete the job and what a difference. They were slightly cheaper and they sent 3 guys to do the windows. They installed the windows exactly as we liked and made moderate adjustments when asked. They were pleasant people who were focused and worked hard. You could tell they loved the work, wanted to do quality work and wanted to please the customer. Which they did. They also cleaned up after themselves. We ended paying $490 to fix all the mistakes and poor quality work that Window Man had done. That certainly wasn't in the budget. Window Man did not deliver what they promised and did poor quality work on what they did deliver. Without supervision they would have done even worse. We are actually glad now that they backed out on the 2nd half of the job as it allowed us to find a company that did the job right. read more

Called to schedule an appointment for someone to come measure window we needed replaced and give an estimate. We were told Ryan would come Monday (today) at 10:00. Moved some furniture so he could get to the window more easily to measure. At 10:15am Ryan called. Asked what the window looked like. Gave a price he said was based on what we'd bought in the past. We've NEVER bought a window from anyone. I told him he was supposed to be here at 10. He said he did estimates over the phone if it was one window. I even got two texts confirming he would be here at 10:00am. Told him we would not be using Window Man. Why make an appointment to measure if you're just going to call? We didn't need to be home for a phone call. Nor did we need to move furniture. read more

I absolutely loved my experience with Window Man! The staff was friendly and forth coming with information. The fact I was able to talk to the sales consultant outside of normal business hours was great. I loved the no pressure sales technique and thought my quote was very fair. The installer did a great job and kept his work area clean. He went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the job. I have had several of my neighbors comment on how great the window looks too. I was more than happy to refer them. read more

Job: Windows, Gutters, Siding...actual completed job: Windows and Gutters The owner, Rance, could care less about customer complaints and issues with a job. I specifically discussed reverse sliders for 2 of 4 'slider' windows with the owner and the salesman, neither wrote it down apparently. The windows came in wrong and the owner said; 'It wasn't written down, it must not have been discussed". I also made sure to tell them that I knew all the gutter boards would need replaced, the installers had no idea and had to come back, then I was charged extra. Again I was told; "it wasn't written down, must not have been discussed". The owner also doesn't stand by any estimate given by his salespeople...They gave me 2 estimates for siding, 1 of which I agreed to (and was already fully financed for) The owner came to measure for the job and blatantly disagreed with the estimate. Instead of honoring it like any business would, being I/we had already agreed on the estimate and it was funded, he refused to do the quoted job. Then he spun some story about possible damages behind the siding and liability, what??? That's your whole business, any co. that does siding, windows etc. factors in possible rott/ damages when quoting the job! Finally, they neglected to tell me that certain features on the expensive windows don't come on the mid grade windows. Terrible way to do business!!! read more

I had other companies come out listened to a long presentation only to be quoted close to 20,000 dollars with a down payment for 5-6 windows. I contacted Window Man they sent Mike and he walked through my house and even said "we can replace that window too" a block window that I was afraid was going to cost too much so I didn't mention it. One of the windows was so big I just knew it was going to be pricey. When Mike told me how much it was going to cost for 12 windows with the big one, I was floored there had to be a mistake. There was no mistake. The owner himself came out to measure the windows gave me a guesstimation when they would be installed after they were made. A few weeks later the guys showed up and on time and had my old windows out and the new ones in. They came back the next day to finish up. The windows look great and flawless. I can't express how happy I am that I called them. I'm very happy with the windows so much that I don't even mind leaving their sign in my yard:))) I give them 10 stars. If you need new windows don't bother calling anyone else just call Window Man you will be surprised how much money you'll save you won't be sorry you did! One stop shop with no bull!!! read more
