Randy did a great job framing our garden shed. He was able to work with my less-than-professional…read moredesign, made use of an older concrete pad, got the framing square and plumb and installed the windows and door. I was able to do the rest with his advice. It's solid, looks great. Randy was generous with his time in showing me the ropes, very meticulous in his work and stayed on time with our timeline. Highly recommend.

Randy Berger made my shed dreams come true…read more He was super easy to work with, very collaborative and builds a damn solid shed. He took my ridiculously crude sketches and created a preliminary design that I could revise. Then we added a portico. He let me save a bit of money by buying my own windows and door from Rebuild. Then he incorporated some corrugated metal I picked up to use as an ersatz side for the portico.(or "carport" if you'd rather). The end result is a much larger shed than I'd have gotten from a kit purchased for what I paid for construction and material, and a shed where I got to pick interesting windows and make a portico as opposed to looking just like every other shed from kit A-20733. Another reviewer was frustrated with the lack of response he got and I can echo that somewhat. There were a couple of periods where I felt in limbo but once I got a date for construction everything came together beautifully. Warning: it's both a blessing and a curse that for pretty much any idea you have to modify the design, he can figure out a way to make that work. It's not always expensive, but it's rarely free. Eventually a drawbridge, clock tower and fireplace adds up. Oh and we did our own painting but I think that's because I was being cheap. But that was an option that saved a bit of money (so I got his and hers built-in spice racks!).

We were warned by two contractors not to use them, but we didn't realize LL Flooring was Lumber Liquidators until we had already made out purchase. Our initial interaction with Andrew at the Salem store was pretty good and we found flooring that we liked that cost much less than other companies in Salem. We scheduled an appointment to get our home measured and returned the next week to purchase and schedule an installation. We were helped by the store manager, Matt. We were told we'd have the installation done before the end of August and heard Matt talk to their installer on the phone and he confirmed we were on the schedule for August 26th. When August 26th arrived, the company they contract their installations with did not have us on their schedule and we had to wait another two weeks to get someone out. The installation was a disaster, but that is a review for the other company. Matt also sold us probably $500 of extra flooring that we didn't need and ordered wrong transition strips for the whole project. If you are a contractor and are looking to install cheap flooring yourself, this might be a place for you. For a homeowner looking for new flooring to be installed, I would highly caution you to stay away.

It was comforting when I first hired them to see the positive reviews, but when I examine further now, I wonder if it's because by the end of using the company, I can barely even talk further about them. So here I go.. I contacted them regarding installing a 12'x10' concrete pad and an overhang for my backyard to my residence. I saw the pictures and was in awe. In hindsight, I should have kept it moving. Nonetheless I reach out to one of the employees over a Facebook ad I saw and he gave me a fair estimate for the work. I almost immediately said yes and stopped contacting other contractors and companies. I sent pictures of what I envisioned and even a drawing to ensure I was communicating effectively. In turn, I was told I would eventually be contacted by staff. I waited to be contacted and wasn't within a week or so after being given an estimate. I then contacted the business directly and explained to them the estimate I received. Communication with this business was HORRENDOUS! It was frequently me following up to configure start dates and timelines. Nonetheless, the project was underway around May 1st or so depending on the weather. I was very excited and when the crew showed up, I found myself slightly more concerned. There was an advisement of possible damage to my garage pavement as concrete was being wheel barreled to the backyard. I said if any damage incurred, to let me know and they said they would. Luckily there no damage. I had work and I did not believe I needed to babysit a crew of people who knew what they were doing (presumably). So I left for work as they worked. After a few days of work, they informed me the project was complete. I did not think I would need to check every day after their work, so I tried to trust them. DO NOT TRUST THEM! My husband alerted me there was concrete splatter all on the back side of my house's newly added grey paint. You would think concrete would be difficult to see on top of grey paint, it absolutely was not difficult. To further complicate things, they didn't put concrete at a tilt slightly to avoid pooling water. My concrete slab pools directly in the middle of the concrete. Shortly after install, it also started to crack! But wait, there's more... The company decided to pour the leftover concrete over my river rock without even communicating to me they planned to dump the extra in my yard. If they would have told me, I had the perfect area they could have dumped it! My husband told me it was normal to pool off extra concrete but in a more subtle place of the yard. Not over river rock which is directly over my tree roots from a cherry tree. I immediately contacted the business and within a week received paperwork saying the project was complete. They were trying to have my complete this paperwork even though it was not complete! They agreed to come fix the issues finally after a little over a month goes by. The splatter, fixed. The concrete over river rock and tree, fixed. The pooling of water, NOT FIXED. So now I have to hire a company to fix the pooling of the water issue as the company advised they could not. They offered $200 off for the inconvenience. $200 for concrete work that elsewhere is going to cost me $1600 to fix. What an insult! They also offered to extend things such as the covering to cover the concrete for another $2800. They almost HAD ME! I wanted so badly to fix the concrete that I was willing to pay them more, to fix their mistakes. I am so disappointed with this company and lack of communication. They will get you with their great estimates but cannot follow through. Buyer beware!
