Dr Multani did my discectomy 25 years ago when I ruptured my L5S1 and had to walk around with it for a year had to get a job and work for 6 months before my insurance came good and it was at a architectural firm lifting heavy heavy plans anyway when I was finally able to get the surgery she did a fantastic job really gave me my life back. She said to me, "you know, sometimes I have these success stories... where they wake up from anesthesia... and the pain is gone-- of course there's some pain at the incision site, but the sciatic pain is gone and when she told me that I just knew-- I didn't hope that I would be one of those success stories... I KNEW I was going to be... that was my destiny, I knew it. I was so happy I practically skipped in there the morning of surgery cuz I knew it was going to be an end to the agony I had been living with for a year. She fixed my broken neck after a car accident and I would not be here if not for Dr. Multani. That was 14 years ago! Dr Jenny Multani has been my Nurosurgen since 2004 when she did my first cervical C6 to C7 fusion. The work she did was amazing with no complications, however I still experienced pain and was refered to Pain Management Clinic. I was told by Dr Jenny Multani to return in 2 yrs which would've been in 2006. Well I finally returned, not in 2 yrs...but 14 yrs later 2020. I went as long as I possible could with pain management. I even returned back to work full time. When I finally returned to her office I was told I will need to have two part surgeries, part one cervical C3 to C5 fusion and part two C3 to L1 decompression. Even thow I've been home for 5 days Im still having pain and alot of muscle spasms. I wouldn't change my Dr Jenny Multani for any other Nurosurgen she's one of the best I know in Alameda County. I know I'm still not out of the wood and will probably need surgery again in about 10+ years. She will be the only Doctor to do my surgery. Having the two surgeries I immediately notice I can swallow my food and drinks much better and it no longer felt like I was being strangled. I feel much better and do beleive the decompression surgery is just what I needed. Hopefully I will not need to return back to a Pain Managed Clinic. In March 2002, my husband had a brain aneurysm & I "Thank God" every day that Dr. Multani was the Neurosurgeon on call that day. When we were finally able to meet her, after they were able to stabilize him, so that she could share with us what needed to be done to save his life if he could make it the next 4 hours. I told her from the start to not "Sugar Coat" things & to give it to me straight. She explained the surgery that she was going to perform to try to save my husband life in full detail that common people would understand. After 6 weeks in the hospital, we got to know Dr Multani as a top notch professional Neurosurgeon, excellent bed side manner, takes the time to listen to your concerns & answer any questions you have, treats you with respect & always has your health as top priority. A few years later, she performed back surgery on my husband which he hasn't had any issues since that surgery. The very next year, Dr Multani performed surgery on his neck do to an injury. He has full motion in his neck & to this day has no pain. In 2019 I had woke up one day & couldn't walk. Went to our primary care physician & was told I had a sever case of Vertigo. Was told it would go away in time. After dealing with what I thought was Vertigo for 3 months, I went back to primary doctor & that was when he ordered an MRI of the brain. When that was ordered, I immediately called Dr Multani's office & made an appointment. Before she ever looked at the CD of the MRI, she performed her own testing in her office. She expressed that she believed all my symptoms were coming from my neck, but would need an MRI of my neck instead of the brain. I had neck surgery in Oct 2019 & I have not had any of the symptoms that I had months prior. I have followed her instructions to make a full recovery, which I just had my 1 year follow up today 10/2020 & we were very happy with my recovery. I have full range of motion in my neck without pain. Dr. Multani is the best at what she does & I would argue with anyone that say's anything differently. We drive 2 hours to go see her & she is worth every mile. We are proud to call her our doctor but more importantly I feel like she is a friend to our family. read more

We were referred to Dr. Multani because the first Neurosurgeon we met with was not covered in my moms "network". I will never go back to Dr. Multani's office and wouldn't suggest you do either! They did get us in quickly, so kudos to them on that. Mu aunt was unable to be there yesterday and being that we are a close family, we asked the nurse if we could record the consultation. She said, "I will let the doctor know." When Dr. Multani came in to the exam room, we immediately began recording the audio. At some points I did pick up my phone to film some of the perception tests my mom was doing to document how she was doing. Didn't sit well: Dr. Multani was going over my moms medical history with her. At one point she states, "Is there anything you haven't had?".. Ok a bit rude and unprofessional but we brushed it off. We then proceeded to her office to look at the MRI scans and discuss options in further detail. My grandma and I both put our phones on her desk face up, right in front of her and began recording as this was the most important part of the consultation. Not once did she address that we were recording. Didn't sit well: She told us the tumor was 4cm. I asked her what she would compare that to as none of us new how big 4cm really was. She said it is comparable to a tennis ball. We later looked it up, 4cm is comparable to a golf ball. I don't know about you, but I don't think that a tennis ball and a golf ball are anywhere close in size especially when your talking about brain tumors... While discussing the severity of the tumor, she really was rather cold and didn't cushion or ease anything in. After discussing our options she created this high sense of urgency and stated that she was going to work on sending in an approval for the Craniotomy immediately! We left our disk with her and headed down to the car, all of us extremely shaken up about what we had just heard. Not even to our car yet in the parking lot, we receive a call from her "office manager" Monica. I got on the phone and she began accusing us of "recording the conversation without consent, which is illegal." I explained to her, we did have consent from the nurse. She argued with me, "No the nurse said you needed to ask the Doctor". Immediately I got irritated that she was accusing us for something that we did ask and received consent for! She heard my frustration and immediately changed her story, "Oh, I was just trying to get both sides of the story"... after she has just sat there and argued with me telling me that my story was incorrect. Really? She then calls back later telling me that she spoke to the nurse and that exactly what I said had happened but it should have been common sense for me to ask the doctor. Pause, question.. If it is not common sense for your nurse, why would it be common sense for us? She then let us know that we left our disk. I told her that Dr. Multani may need it to receive the approval for the Craniotomy. She said she'd call us back. She never called back and we later stopped by to pick up the disk. She handed us a manila envelope which we found when we got back into the car had a letter in it terminating the doctor patient relationship due to the "recording without consent, which is illegal" signed by Dr. Multani. You have got to be kidding me. After Dr. Multani made it seem as if we don't have any time to waste, she terminates the relationship and wastes an entire day of my mom's precious time. And why? Because we did receive consent to record. This office is extremely unprofessional, insensitive and rude! I would recommend getting a second opinion. read more

Dr. Multani performed major back surgery on me in October 2014. I had a fusion surgery. Prior to seeing Dr. Multani I was under the care of a Orthopedic surgeon who was not able to provide me with the care I required. Dr. Multani saw me on a Friday and operated on me within 3 weeks. Her care and attention to my needs were incredible. Her bed side manner was caring and sincere. I cannot believe how her expertise saved my life. Dr. Multani was very professional, sincere, and warm. I have seen many surgeons that were not detailed regarding my condition and I wanted to run out of their office. I left dr. My father was referred to Dr. Multani by a chiropractor. She was rude at best. When I walked in the room with my father she didn't even introduce herself or display basic courtesy. She seemed disinterested in helping my father and seemed annoyed with our questions. She gave me a referral to physical therapy, because I asked for it for 4 weeks. I later called the office and informed her less than capable office staff if she could write another referral because it was helping him. She refused and said he would have to come back in again. He condition was bad enough that 4 weeks wasn't going to fix the problem. I think she wanted us to come in so she can bill his insurance. I asked her intellectually challenged office staff to thank her for not helping us when we needed it and hung up. read more

I am just learning about yelp and reviews. I normally go by word of mouth of those I trust but now that I can voice my opinion I have to write it. Dr. Multani is an angel sent by God. When I went to see her she was the third Neuro, the minute I walked into her office I felt secure. Her staff was great because they always lughed when i joked especially about the mirror across from the exam bed. When I walked in there my lip was droopy and the side of my face numb. She was so reassuring, she talked with all of my children the pros and cons. My surgery went great and I was moving my neck with almost complete rotation. The fusion in my 5,6,7 was a success. Then she did my lower back after several years of epidurals, spacers were placed. I wanted to go dancing the same day. Walking and standing suddenly weren't such a big deal anymore. My prayers are with her continously. May God guide her hands. And to Medicare and medical ins that feel these surgeries are not worth it. I have had a quality of life restored. read more

Dr Multani has to be one of the best in her field. I was an extremely tough case of GBM, where the tumor was very close to some optical nerve in my brain and she did a resection in 2008. I was actually back to work developing software within a month, and felt fine. The tumor re-occured just a few months later, but during that time I really enjoyed the freedom of not feeling like death was always around the next corner. I think the position of tumor prevented her from doing the full cleanup the first time. The second resection & chemo/radiation did mullify the tumor, but with some adverse effects to my left side and misalignment of my vision giving me double vision. I believe she KNEW what could happen to me (total paralysis, blindness), and that she did everything she could to prevent it. I've had a rough ride, but I feel she made ALL the right decisions to keep me alive with as few donsequences possible at the time. Dr Multani shoots straight from the hips. Meaning She did not sugar coat my situation. In a case like GBM (death sentence) you need to be able to prepare for the worst. But hope is always there, which worked well with me. I write this after completion of my 3rd resection, that came EIGHT years later after the first one. This has been a wonderful period of my life. read more
