From the start, communication was extremely poor--I had to initiate every interaction. No one provided updates unless I repeatedly asked for them. Our vehicle was towed to the garage around 11 a.m. I was told the part needed to be ordered and wouldn't arrive until late that day. Since they closed at 5 p.m., the repair would be pushed to the next day. After 4 hours of no communication the next day I started calling once an hour--for status updates and was consistently told vague things like "they're working on it" or "they're finishing up." I never received a proactive call from them. It took them two days to switch out an alternator. Eventually, after all those follow-ups, I was told at 5:30 p.m. that the car was finally ready--but again, only because I called. When I asked the receptionist why I hadn't received any updates and why the delay occurred, she became aggressive and shouted at me, claiming they didn't receive the part until that morning and that it wasn't her fault. She continued yelling, to the point that I had to ask if this was how she typically treated customers. From the start of my experience I stood in the office many times without being acknowledged at all. The manager gave off a noticeably dismissive and possibly misogynistic attitude. Interestingly, things only began to move forward after my brother called to ask for an update. The one positive was that they provided transportation to a hotel, though we had to stay there for two days due to the extended repair time.

I called got the owner and told him what I was looking for, he said to go see Kenneth, so I dropped by to see if they could help me with the fronts and I would do the back shocks. Kenneth got me scheduled and Jerry was a warrior putting on the front struts and I was happy to pay them. Jerry said "if you need help on the backs, give us a call." Prophetic; I got one on that took me 4 hours and waited to work on the other side in the morning - right. Obviously, I needed help so I drove back up there later, talked with Kenny and he said sure, c'mon back at 2 and we'll get her done. Showed up at 2, he was busy and asked (Jerry wasn't there) if I could make it the next morning at 10? Sure. He checked with the Office Manager and she said that would be ok. Got up the next morning and saw there was a voicemail from Kenny, he had a semi coming in at 10 could I come in right away, but it was 9:30 and so we agreed that Kenny would call me as soon as he was done....it got to be close to 4 and I had some running around to do so I drove by and no truck, nobody answering the phone when I called, so now I'm very unhappy. Called and left a message then decided I would call Furr Automotive on the other side of town (an old client and VERY good mechanic) he couildnt' get to me for awhile so call Person's Auto, which I did. (I didn't go to Furr originally because he's usually very busy - that hasn't changed) I would have loved to finish up the work with J Kelly's, but there is no excuse for bad manners and so I graded them as best I could. The next day Jerry responded to my voicemail - but the damage had been done and lost my business. Plus, Persons is veteran owned and he will get my business. if it's not tires don't call and if it is, good luck. Don't deal with Kenny. OH yeah; they have 2 billing rates $85 p/hour normal business hours labor rate and $125 "after hours" billing rate....make sure you use your stopwatch function on your phone to count the hours, they overcharged me, but I didn't dispute it cause Jerry really worked at the fronts I watched him and he deserved it.

Read all the reviews and I was impressed. So I reached out through Yelp. Received a response within 1 hour or less. Talked with them and they told me to bring it in. Took the car in. Walked around the car checked out what was going on and then I set an appointment for the next week for a diagnostic. They took pictures and I agreed to move forward with replacing front and rear brake pads. Came with a warranty of 24k miles/or 24 mos. They offered the bundle deal which I thought was a great deal. Although I am a woman and show up by myself, I know a little bit about cars, and got a pretty good idea about the current market value of parts, labor, and tax, these guys gave an honest quote. Dropped off the car at 9 a.m. and they texted back at 12:30 p.m. that the car was ready. I will use them again and definitely will refer them to others Thank you for the great customer service. This dealer has rarely fixed a problem I had and has made it a point to fleece me at every turn. I highly recommend you go elsewhere. Here is my experience. 1) Car creaks when stopping or starting. I have driven 100's of cars in my life and never experienced anything like it. Signature says normal body noise. 2) Water pools in the door after rain or car wash and gushes out. My fear was freezing water would damage the paint. Nothing they can do. 3) Paint on my Blue Hyundai peels since 30k miles. I made the mistake of thinking I could take it in later because I bought the 100k platinum warranty. Blue paint only covered for 36k miles but white is extended. 4) Engine light came on for several days and went off. If they scan the code and find one in history its covered. If they don't have to pay them 170 dollars to scan the codes. One hour of a techs time. Sorry but a tech doesn't make 170 dollars an hour that is the dealer charging profit. 5) They put their dumb sticker on the car when I asked them not to. Refused to take it off. I had to peel it off myself but little did I know I just had to wait for the paint to peel off anyway. 6) Poor design from Hyundai exposes a lead screw that moves the driver seat. Seat was jammed. Turned out a dime cut lodged in there because it is exposed. 100 dollars to tell me that. If you still want a Hyundai Kia go to Michigan City. I have gotten multiple people to not buy from Signature and one of them had a problem that Michigan City took 3 weeks to fix. They gave them a brand new rental and through on a set of tires for the trouble. No way Signature would do that. Avoid Avoid Avoid.

Their service fees were amazingly affordable/low I couldn't believe it. I called the shop and a very nice young lady answered and I asked her if those service fees were accurate and she said yes. And I don't just mean he knows what he's doing about the car and extremely nice.. He has beyond that. He has a family that works with him and they are all hard-working, and honest. And have love. I've had roadside assistance where I've been treated rudely I've had my car damaged I've been spoken to disrespectful, as I imagine many of you have."
