The wait is always minimal 2 hours. Staff are very uncaring. Take the extra time and drive to a different one.

I went through a lot in 2024 and because of my divorce I was left with no insurance! CHAS accepted…read moremy state insurance I had to temporarily sign up for and they got me in ASAP today at their urgent care. Everyone was so so so so helpful, friendly, and just all around fantastic. I was able to be seen and get everything and more taken care of in a timely manner as well! Thank you and everyone at CHAS. From the moment I walked in at the front desk to the moment I left I was more than taken care of. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and just the whole team for making life a little easier. I appreciate you!!!

This urgent care had the best ratings (all the rest were poor in the area) & I go to Chas Clinic…read morefor provider svcs which is pretty good so I expected different from what happened. This was last Wed Dec 6th. Not a good experience overall unfortunately. I went in before 9am w/ only 2 people in front of me. One had a slight cough. I checked in w/SOB, chest pain, temp of 102+, massive shivering/chills, body pain so bad I couldn't sit still. "Oh...I'm sorry." front desk says. This place does not triage at all. Obviously if I needed emergent care I would've gone to one of the "quality" ERs (lol) in the area..I get it ok. Waited over an hr to get called back, waiting room was really filling up by then. Get checked in w/vitals, etc. "ooh you've got quite a fever going!" The MA says. NP comes in gives me a 5 min look over I say I just need some antibiotics please I'm coughing up green/have temp, etc and I just want to go back home. I have everything else to treat this. I have hx of sinusitis & bronchitis & I didn't say but I'm a nurse. He says sure yes that sounds appropriate "I'll be back in a few minutes" after 2 COVID tests & a flu test. I'm laying on the exam table curled up in a ball shivering & in pain thinking he's (or anyone) will be back...those MF's left me in there for an hour!!!!! When I got home I looked at my missed calls log & could tell. I couldn't get off the exam table to get my phone. I started feeling really nauseous and REALLY HOT so had been calling out for a barf bag & some help NO ONE CAME IN. NO ONE. Couldn't even pop their head in to check in, you know like even doctors offices do when you've been waiting a while? Understand, I was in a pretty bad state as the last time I was this sick I had leukemia w/neutropenic fevers. That's what it felt like, it was horrific so prob had a tinge of PTSD anxiety mixed in too. Which may make my case a little more dramatic but that's healthcare- you never know peoples backstories or what they're going through. Or what they've been through. Anyway I could literally hear them cackling & chatting *right outside my door* completely ignoring me. I flopped off the table almost falling down I'm so lightheaded, open the door & say "how long are you guys going to pretend like you don't hear me?" "I can literally hear you verbatim out here & I've been calling for help waiting patiently for someone to come back in" I said "YOU LEFT ME in there with a triple digit temp, wracked with body pain, didn't offer me Tylenol, water, a blanket, nothing. What's up w/that?" They're all bug eyed lmao. Like they'd been caught/called out. Huh. One woman had the audacity to look me in the eye & say "I didn't hear you". Grrrrrrr.. My NP was SITTING THERE (right, I mean right outside my door) ON HIS COMPUTER (what, catching up on charting? Facebook?) he says "I'll check with your provider on the Tylenol. Huh?? Comes in 10min later w/Tylenol & water & apologizes for them not having a call light system? Uh, okay? Brings my paperwork I'm thinking finally! Nope, meds aren't even ready!!! Hahahhaaaa. Says I can cont to wait there, in the (now crowded) waiting room, or in my car. Gee let me think. I go check in w/the pharmacy to tell them I'm waiting outside they say they will call when my meds are ready. NP was trying to prescribe all this OTC stuff I knew my insurance wouldn't cover so I said no to allll that please, just the antibiotics. "Sure, it will be fast, just a few minutes" he says. Almost 45 min later I get a text (not a call so I didn't hear it right away, thanks guys!) I go in there and they had pulled EVERYTHING. Say my insurance didn't cover anything but antibiotics. Hahahhaaaaa OH.MY.GOD. I'm delirious at this point. Grabbed the pills and drove home that whole ordeal took THREE HOURS!!!That's my rant. I'm sorry but what the hell. I get you guys are "publicly funded" but that is no excuse for the way I was treated. Where was the empathy? I work in healthcare...you always want to try to manage pain & anything else in your immediate control (if u have any kind of empathy) to comfort someone like water, a blanket, checking in, FOLLOWING THROUGH ON WHAT YOU SAY. Anything! Don't tell someone you'll be right back & leave them in that state for that long. It's neglectful and just unkind. **They had MULTIPLE staff members lounging at the nurses station right outside my door.** SMH. I'm grossly disappointed and hope maybe NP Gregory & co were just having a bad day or this was a one off thing. I was totally respectful to them from the start and more than patient. Dammit. I feel like I was totally at their whim and I'm thinking gosh, what would've happened if I hadn't come out of the room...?????
